Chapter 25 Shirley’s Small Request

Then, the clothes on her upper chest emerged first, followed by her entire body.

She emerged alone from the portal, dragging the giant insect monster.

As the giant monster's entire body was exposed to the sight of the ability users, the portal's energy fluctuations ceased.

The surrounding insects, seeing Shirley, scattered like they had seen a ghost, shrieking madly.

The insect swarm that had covered the mountains and fields vanished in an instant.

Only a few stray insects ran about aimlessly, then simply burrowed into rock crevices, leaving half their bodies exposed, pretending no one could see them.

"So strong... she's too strong... she went to the other side of the portal alone and dealt with the giant insect monster?!"

"This is a bit outrageous. Our entire ability user legion, after suffering heavy losses, finally reached here, and she finished the final kill all by herself?"

"Speaking of which, if there was such a powerful ability user, why isn't she in our legion?"

"Not just the legion, she isn't even recorded in the roster."

Everyone spoke amongst themselves, one after another.

Especially those fifth-level ability users.

They had once considered themselves supreme powerhouses, but now, seeing the woman before them, they suddenly felt incredibly small.

All their arrogance seemed childish and laughable.

Truly, there were always people better than you, and heavens beyond the heavens. In the face of such a powerhouse, how could they dare to be called kings?!

"Who is this woman?"

Tie Jun watched as the woman in the distance tossed the giant insect monster onto the ground, kicking up a massive cloud of dust, and then slowly walked towards him.

"Can't find her, our database has no record of her!"

The observer said with a bewildered expression.

"What about you?"

Tie Jun turned and asked the psychic ability user.

"Her ability is too strong, I can't pry into her mind at all. It's like entering a bottomless abyss, this feeling..."

At this point, the psychic ability user suddenly shivered.

"It seems... we can only brace ourselves and communicate... but from her appearance, she should be friendly, not an enemy!"

"Otherwise, with her strength, all of us would have long since turned to dust!"

Tie Jun muttered to himself, trying to encourage himself.

Soon, the woman slowly walked up to Tie Jun and said with a smile:

"So... I'm the champion of the tournament?"

"What? What champion?" Tie Jun was stunned. He had anticipated all sorts of scenarios, even preparing himself to die for his country.

But no matter what, he had never expected her opening line upon seeing him to be this!

"The World Ability User King Competition?"

Tie Jun asked tentatively.

"Yes, aren't you all here to welcome me? To celebrate my championship?!"

"I knew it, I knew that saying it was a 'chicken dinner' competition was just a cover!"

"In reality, the requirement to win the championship was to eliminate this big guy, right!"

"Honestly, all the contestants were a bit too weak. Only this guy could stir up my fighting spirit."

"I thought that the world's most powerful ability user wouldn't be so easily obtained by just a wave of the hand."

"Even though you designed it very secretly, it's a pity you were discovered. Here, the corpse is over there, can I claim my prize now!"

Shirley asked, rubbing her hands.

"That..."

The psychic ability user next to him stepped forward and said hesitantly.

She had intended to tell Shirley the truth.

However, Tie Jun raised his hand, interrupting her speech, and said with a broad smile:

"That's right, congratulations, you've won first place in the World Ability User King Competition! It's truly cause for celebration!"

"The trophy is on its way and will arrive soon. We came ahead of time to congratulate you!"

"???" The surrounding ability users all looked at Tie Jun with blank expressions.

Clearly, they had come to attack the monster, but now it had turned into welcoming a champion?

And what was with their usually taciturn and cold Vice-Captain Tie, and that overly fawning smile?

Hey! Hey! Isn't that a bit too servile!

That smile was so servile it was almost lewd!

"I see!"

The psychic ability user nodded gently.

She had just read Tie Jun's thoughts.

The reason Tie Jun shamelessly claimed this was an award ceremony was because Shirley's strength was too formidable.

Everyone present combined might not be Shirley's match.

If Shirley were to learn this fact directly, who knew what she might do?

Absolute military strength represented absolute power!

She could become a god or a devil according to her own will, and no one in the entire world could stop her.

Coincidentally, Shirley mistakenly believed the giant insect monster was an obstacle set up by the event, making her feel that this world might possess stronger ability users and monsters.

This was why she would cooperate with the Ability User Management Bureau.

It had to be said, regardless of what Shirley thought, Tie Jun's thinking was a form of prudent foresight and was not wrong!

"Thank you everyone, you've all worked hard!"

Shirley was in a great mood, both because she had won the championship and because she had just had a satisfying battle.

"By the way, I have a small request..."

Shirley paused and suddenly said.

"What request? You are the champion of the competition, and as long as it's a reasonable request, we can satisfy it!"

Tie Jun continued to maintain his enthusiastic smile.

"Uh... this small request of mine might be a little unreasonable..."

Shirley chuckled and said.

"It's okay, you can still say it even if it's unreasonable, as long as it's not too unreasonable, for example, wanting to be the president of a certain country..."

At this point, Tie Jun paused. Seeing Shirley's slightly displeased expression, he quickly added, "For a small country, it's not impossible, but try to be reasonable..."

"Achoo!"

Shirley couldn't help but sneeze.

She smiled sheepishly and said:

"Sorry, I was just drenched by that big bug's toxic waterfall. I just used my energy to dry my clothes, and perhaps some toxin stimulated my nose!"

"Well, I don't want to be president. I just hope you guys don't kill it!"

Shirley said, then let out a whistle.

Rumble...

The entire ground trembled instantly again.

Cracks slowly spread across the ground, and then, the giant poisonous insect with tentacles emerged from the earth, its numerous claws shaking menacingly.

"You said not to kill it?"

Tie Jun's expression instantly became very complex.

"Are you kidding me? We absolutely didn't want to fight this thing in the first place! Why kill it? If it doesn't cause trouble, we should be kowtowing to it!"
