With a flip, Ye Fei dashed forward and landed directly on the back of one of the Swift Deer.
Then, with a powerful thrust, he grabbed its two antlers.
"I'll take care of this Swift Deer first. You hold off the other one for me!" Ye Fei shouted.
"Don't worry, the other one is mine!" the woman in the light green dress replied immediately. With only one Swift Deer to deal with, she was confident she could slay it.
"Beast, take this!"
As soon as Ye Fei settled onto the Swift Deer's back, it roared and twisted, trying to throw him off. But Ye Fei held tightly onto its antlers. It tried several times, but couldn't dislodge him.
"Beast, my turn!" Ye Fei's eyes sharpened. He released his right hand, raised his long sword, and slashed fiercely at the antlers.
Roar, roar, roar.
Ye Fei exerted his full strength this time, severing the Swift Deer's right antler. The deer's antlers were its most formidable weapon, and now one was gone. It let out a series of roars, the intense pain causing it to shake violently again, trying to throw Ye Fei off. Ye Fei had to tightly grip the remaining antler.

Ye Fei severed the Swift Deer's remaining antler. With both antlers gone, the Swift Deer was on the verge of death. Its roars grew weaker. Strike while the iron is hot. Ye Fei showed no mercy, ending its life under its unwilling gaze.
The other Swift Deer, fighting the woman, let out a sky-shattering cry of grief upon seeing its companion perish at Ye Fei's hands.
"This is bad, it's summoning reinforcements!"
"We need to finish this quickly, we can't afford to delay!" Ye Fei said nervously.
The woman in the light green dress also tensed, immediately unleashing her full power to slay the Swift Deer.
"I'll assist you!" Ye Fei joined the fray. With Ye Fei's help, the Swift Deer was no match for the two of them. After a few more blows, its head was severed by the woman in the light green dress.
"Without delay, let's leave quickly!" Ye Fei urged. After a swift cleanup of the battlefield, the two departed.
Shortly after their departure, three Swift Deer, each at the peak of Qi Refining level four, arrived. Upon discovering the corpses of their companions, the four Swift Deer let out mournful cries before leaving.
Ye Fei and the woman fled rapidly without speaking, finally finding a cliff cave to shelter in before nightfall. The cave had five levels, and its most crucial feature was its extreme concealment.
"Beauty, let's rest here for the night!" Ye Fei surveyed the cave and spoke. The woman in the light green dress readily agreed. After a day of fighting, both were ravenously hungry. Ye Fei, clutching his growling stomach, gave a few instructions and headed out to find some food.
"I'll go with you!" the woman in the light green dress said, not trusting Ye Fei to go out alone. Together, they exited the cave.
"Beauty, my name is Ye Fei. What is your esteemed name?" Having escaped danger, Ye Fei reverted to his cheerful demeanor and asked with a smile.
"Leng Shuang."
"Thank you for your help just now!"
"Don't worry, I will thank you after I complete my assessment!" Leng Shuang answered Ye Fei's question concisely.
"A beautiful name, a beautiful name."
"Beauty, you're being too polite!"
"We are future fellow disciples, after all. Helping each other is only natural!"
"Please don't take it to heart!" Ye Fei patted his chest, a radiant smile on his face. Although Ye Fei hadn't asked for repayment, Leng Shuang took it to heart.
Working together with perfect coordination, they quickly hunted a good amount of prey and headed back.
"We can have a feast tonight!" Ye Fei's eyes lit up as he looked at the prey in his hands. Leng Shuang was about to admit she was terrible in the kitchen when Ye Fei continued to murmur to himself.
"Tonight, I must show off my skills and have a proper meal." Leng Shuang, standing beside Ye Fei, heard his words clearly. Upon learning that Ye Fei could cook, she chose to remain silent.
"We're here!" The two returned to the vicinity of the cliff cave. As Ye Fei needed to process the prey, Leng Shuang went ahead into her dwelling. The room on the third floor was Leng Shuang's chosen bedroom. Her clothes were torn in several places from the recent fight. Thinking of Ye Fei's earlier warning, she couldn't help but blush.
