The police officers listened, their faces filled with indignation.

Coupled with the news from the hospital—that the man, upon waking, had shouted about killing the woman—the officers investigated further. They obtained surveillance footage from the scene, which indeed showed a man chasing a little girl with malicious intent. This man was the same one currently hospitalized.
With the evidence conclusive, the man was successfully sent to prison for rehabilitation.
As it was getting late, the officers comforted the little girl, notified her family to pick her up, and then headed home.
Looking at Ming Li, whose expression had returned to normal, the officers felt puzzled. They had meticulously reviewed the surveillance footage multiple times but hadn't spotted Ming Li anywhere.
Meeting their gazes, Ming Li seemed to sense their thoughts and stated calmly, "I appeared in a blind spot of the surveillance."
The officers coughed dryly. "Miss Lin, it's getting late, and the roads aren't safe. We'll have a police car drive you back."
Ming Li replied indifferently, "No need, I'm not afraid."
The officers were speechless. "Of course, you're not afraid; it's the bad guys who should be afraid." They shivered slightly, recalling the fate of the man from earlier.
In the end, Ming Li left the police station alone to find Wei Gelin and the others. Seeing the bloodstains on Ming Li's face, Han Chen exclaimed, "Boss, what happened? Why is there blood on your face?"
Ming Li frowned, touched her cheek, and said lightly, "It's nothing, it's not mine."

The bus continued its journey. Suddenly, a little boy ran up to Ming Li and exclaimed, "Sister~ Long time no see~"
