Chapter 34 The Prime Minister's Eldest Daughter (34)

Mingli looked at the disheveled Ouyang Muyun and said faintly, "What business do you have here?"

Ouyang Muyun: "I am here to thank Miss Bai for saving my life that day!" After speaking, he realized his servant hadn't come in. He shouted over the wall, "Throw my bag in here!"

Not long after, a heavy bag was thrown in from outside the wall.

Ouyang Muyun raised his hand but didn't catch it.

Ouyang Muyun: "...?!" His raised hand stiffened for a moment, then he awkwardly touched his nose and quickly went to pick up the bag on the ground.

Ouyang Muyun walked to a stone table in front of Mingli and placed the bag in his hand on the stone table, opening it. Mingli glanced inside; it contained several gold bricks and a stack of papers, which seemed to be deeds to houses and land.

Mingli's mouth twitched. She then heard Ouyang Muyun say, "Benefactor, my family is poor and doesn't have much. I only have some money and property. I hope Benefactor won't dislike it."

Mingli: "...?!" Big brother, do you have a misunderstanding of the word "poor"?! But since it was money someone offered willingly, there was no reason to refuse. Thus, Mingli called Cui Zhu to take these things away.

After watching Cui Zhu carry the items away, Mingli's gaze shifted back to Ouyang Muyun. She raised the wine jar in her hand and gestured towards him, her voice devoid of emotion, "Do you drink?"

Ouyang Muyun's gaze moved to the wine jar in Mingli's hand, his eyes flickering. As if possessed, he said, "Yes."

Mingli: "...?!" Could she take back what she just said? It was too late. Well, since he wanted to drink, let him drink. After all, she still had more wine and wasn't afraid.

Mingli took out another jar of peach blossom wine and handed it to Ouyang Muyun.

Ouyang Muyun took the wine jar Mingli handed him and opened it. A rich aroma of wine wafted from the opening. Smelling the strong fragrance, Ouyang Muyun looked at Mingli, who was lying on the chaise lounge, swallowed hard, and, bracing himself, brought the wine jar to his lips and took a sip.

A gust of wind blew. Mingli looked at Ouyang Muyun, who had passed out on the ground like a dead pig, and her mouth twitched.

Mingli: "...?!" Didn't this guy say he could drink? If she wasn't mistaken, Ouyang Muyun had only taken one sip, right?! It was truly a waste of her good wine.

Mingli finished the last sip of peach blossom wine from the jar, stood up, and picked up the drunken Ouyang Muyun from the ground.

Mingli, carrying the person, tapped her feet and leaped onto the wall, tossing Ouyang Muyun to his waiting servant outside the wall. Mingli clapped her hands, then jumped off the wall and returned to her chaise lounge to continue her idle life, leaving the two servants who were supporting Ouyang Muyun utterly bewildered.

The servants helped Ouyang Muyun to the carriage, stuffed him inside, and drove the carriage away from the Prime Minister's mansion. As soon as they returned to the Ouyang residence, they encountered Ouyang Feng, Ouyang Muyun's father, who was returning home.

Ouyang Feng looked at the drunken Ouyang Muyun, reeking of alcohol and being supported by two servants, and frowned. He asked the servants supporting Ouyang Muyun, "What's wrong with your young master?"

The two servants replied, "Reporting to Master, we don't know."

Ouyang Feng: "What happened? Where did your young master go today?"

The two servants: "Young Master went to the Prime Minister's mansion today. He was like this when he came back."

Ouyang Feng: "...?!" What was this boy doing at the Prime Minister's mansion?
