Chapter 204: 204 Difficulties

Chapter 204: Chapter 204 Difficulties

Just as Zhao Xinyao exited the main entrance of Peak Group, she saw Wang Yan returning from afar.

Startled, Zhao Xinyao realized that it was too late to leave now. In a panic, she looked around and dove into the bushes next to Peak Group, hiding herself.

Wang Yan was seen rushing into Peak Group, quickly followed by the sound of heavy footsteps climbing to the second floor.

Zhao Xinyao dared not stay long, fearing Wang Yan would come after her if he couldn’t find her.

Impatient, Zhao Xinyao quickly pushed through the foliage, intending to flee.

In her haste to escape, Zhao Xinyao tripped after just two steps and fell flat on the ground.

In front of Zhao Xinyao was a trash bin, and she ended up headfirst into it.

At this moment, Zhao Xinyao’s legs were weak, and though she wanted to scramble out of the trash bin, she could only flail her thighs in the air, unable to escape.

At this, a man in tattered clothes, covered in grease and grime, approached, looking like someone collecting cardboard boxes and discarded bottles from the trash bins.

Seeing Zhao Xinyao in the trash bin, the man couldn’t help but lament, “Rich people nowadays are just wasteful, tossing a fine young lady into the trash bin. Since you don’t want her, I’ll take her.”

Saying that, the man pulled Zhao Xinyao out of the trash bin, hoisted her onto his shoulder and walked away from the street entrance.

Zhao Xinyao wobbled back and forth on the man’s shoulder, trying to slide off and run away, but the man’s strength was immense, making escape impossible.

At this moment, Wang Yan’s angry voice echoed from inside Peak Group: “My prescription—”

Upon hearing Wang Yan’s voice, Zhao Xinyao quickly decided not to struggle, given that this rubbish picker could at least take her away from Peak Group.

The rubbish picker hummed a tune, carrying Zhao Xinyao farther and farther away.

As he walked, he kept muttering, “I have savings accumulated over thirty years; since we are destined to meet, I’d like to give them to you.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Xinyao’s heart skipped a beat, wondering if this man was a recluse millionaire. So she obediently stayed on his shoulder.

Two hours later.

In a makeshift shelter made from broken wooden planks and dirty oilcloth, Zhao Xinyao lay within, with disheveled clothes on the only tattered blanket that served as a bed.

Outside the shack, the rubbish man was smugly smoking, taking a deep drag and exhaling a long whiff, turning back to glance at Zhao Xinyao, saying: “I gave you my thirty years’ savings, hoping you’re happy. I collect trash, and you’re trash, so we’re quite the pair.”

After speaking, the rubbish man took a few more drags, stood up, patted the dirt off his backside, and remarked: “I left a bite mark on your shoulder, so you’re my wife now. I’ll go out to find some food for you.”

With that, the rubbish man’s head swayed as he left.

After he left, Zhao Xinyao finally struggled to rise from the tattered blanket, lowering her head to inspect her shoulder. Sure enough, there was a bite mark, like a chrysanthemum.

In her heart, Zhao Xinyao cursed: “This is the worst luck ever; wasted two hours for thirty years’ savings. Damn it, when he said thirty years’ savings, I thought it was money! Who knew it was… I’m such an idiot to mistake him for a hidden millionaire. Damn it, damn it, all because of Wang Yan——”

Zhao Xinyao cursed as she crawled out of the shabby shack, fearing the rubbish man would return and carry her back. She gritted her teeth, half crawling and half walking, heading toward Gangzhe Group.

After what felt like an eternity of crawling, Zhao Xinyao finally returned to Gangzhe Group.

Upon seeing Gangzhe Group, Zhao Xinyao finally sighed in relief. Despite looking disheveled, she had returned.

Using the last ounce of her strength, Zhao Xinyao reached the entrance of Gangzhe Group, collapsing to the ground, about to ask the security guard to help her into the building.

Unexpectedly, as she sat at the entrance, two security guards approached immediately.

Zhao Xinyao felt a surge of delight, just about to speak.

The two guards simultaneously lifted their feet, each kicking Zhao Xinyao’s face.

With a thud, Zhao Xinyao was kicked to the ground.

“Don’t kick me! It’s me, it’s me—” Zhao Xinyao quickly shouted, but her voice, hoarse from the night’s ordeal, came out shrill and piercing.

Upon hearing Zhao Xinyao, not only did the guards not cease, they shouted, “We’re kicking you, daring to beg here without realizing the place.”

“Begging, go somewhere else, coming here to die?”

The beating and kicks from the two guards were driving Zhao Xinyao wild with anger.

Usually, in the company, she held great authority and always looked down upon these bottom-rung guards. Little did she know she would be beaten and cursed by the guards, even called a beggar.

“You blind fools—” Zhao Xinyao barely took a breath as she cursed loudly.

Infuriated, the two guards kicked and hit even harder, scolding, “A beggar, daring to curse me.”

Saying this, a guard spat on Zhao Xinyao.

Highly concerned with cleanliness, Zhao Xinyao could hardly believe she was cursed, beaten, and spat on by guards, nearly exploding with rage.

Yet at this moment she was too weak to fend off the punches and kicks, barely using her arms to shield herself from the attack.

After being beaten by the guards, Zhao Xinyao was dragged away from Gangzhe Group’s entrance, thrown to the base of the wall on a nearby path.

Feeling the absence of blows, Zhao Xinyao finally took a breath, furiously raised her head, opened her mouth to curse, “Bastard—”

But just after she uttered the words, the two guards in front of her suddenly, hand on pants, let streams of hot liquid flow, covering Zhao Xinyao’s body and face.

At this point, Zhao Xinyao, mouth wide open in mid-curse, inadvertently swallowed the liquid.

Instantly feeling the sour and stinky warmth, she realized what she had drunk and nearly vomited.

The hot streams kept pouring over Zhao Xinyao’s head, soaking her long hair, dripping down her forehead.

Silently cursing in her heart, Zhao Xinyao dared not utter a word, lowering her head deeply, shielding her face with her hands, praying the guards would relieve themselves quickly.

Finally, the guards halted, laughed loudly, and turned to leave.

One of them said, “Haha, feels so good, been holding it for ages.”

The other remarked, “Yeah, I’ve been a bit inflamed lately, my urine is a bit yellow——”
