The man in black glanced at his fingers.
He listened intently to the words of the person below.
Upon hearing the report, he burst into laughter.
He narrowed his sharp eyes, then said coldly, "These people, they actually want to investigate our family."
He waved his long arm, his demeanor filled with arrogance.
"What gives them the right?"
The subordinate chuckled, "Master, this group seems to be at their wit's end, rushing over to beg for help. In this situation, should we intervene?"
The man pondered for a moment, then immediately berated his subordinate, his eyes showing impatience.
"Foolish! To bring these people here. What we need to do is play with them. If they reveal their intentions so easily, wouldn't it be utterly boring afterwards?"
He laughed heartily, but the ruthlessness in his eyes did not diminish.
At the same time, a brilliant plan had already formed in his mind.
He leaped down from his high perch.
He raised an eyebrow, a sinister glint in his eyes, and said sharply.
"Take me to see that woman. I want to see what she looks like."
In the tea house.
Gu Qianying listened to the conversations of these people, her heart filled with unease.
If the people of this family were so capricious, how would Gu Qianying be able to obtain the method to remove the demonic energy from their hands?
Ouyang Qinglin stood beside her, his eyes deep, still contemplating the matter.
He spoke with concern, "The way this family is described in people's mouths, it seems we should wait a while longer, perhaps after some time has passed."
Gu Qianying's heart was filled with worry, but she could no longer wait.
Looking at Xiao Yihao beside her, his body was exceptionally weak, slumped on the table, lacking the strength even to drink water.
A shadow fell over her eyes. Finally, she stood up resolutely, her voice firm and clear.
"No, I will never let my child suffer any harm."
Ouyang Qinglin frowned, stepping forward with concern, looking at Gu Qianying and shaking his head repeatedly.
He said cautiously, "If the situation were not so urgent, I would not have let you come here. Please do not rush, let me investigate first."
Gu Qianying took a deep breath, her expression now anxious and displeased.
Helplessly, she said to the person before her, "You know we can't wait any longer. Do you want me to watch my child suffer?"
At these words, Ouyang Qinglin's intended response was instantly choked back.
His expression darkened, and his heart trembled. He looked at Gu Qianying with great worry.
He asked impatiently.
"If something happens to you, what will happen to your child?"
Gu Qianying's long eyelashes trembled slightly. Her eyes narrowed, and she was momentarily flustered into silence.
She could only swallow a gulp of saliva and say softly.
"Then I cannot watch my child die in vain. As a mother, this is what I must do."
Seeing Gu Qianying's resolve, he found it difficult to object.
He could only extend his hand, place it on Gu Qianying's shoulder, and say calmly yet resolutely, "No matter what happens, I will be by your side."
Gu Qianying was momentarily choked with emotion. When she looked up, her eyes were already filled with a smile.
She slowly curved her lips, forcing a brave front.
"I know you will be by my side. I have never doubted you, so please believe me, I can handle this."
Ouyang Qinglin's eyes deepened slightly. He started to reach out, but then quickly withdrew his hand.
He then let out a mocking laugh.
"Alright, I believe you."
And just then, as the two were worrying about this matter.
A sharp voice suddenly came from outside, people were running and shouting, filled with great anxiety.
"It's bad, it's bad, someone has collapsed!"
"It's bad, it's bad!"
These words instantly caused a huge stir, and everyone in the tea house looked outside.
They saw a frail old man, collapsed on the ground.
Breathing with great difficulty.
The crowd dared not approach, all gathering around.
Whispering amongst themselves.
"What should be done about this?"
"Who knows?"
After all, the old woman's illness had come on suddenly. Although everyone wanted to help her up, they lacked the courage, and could only stand by helplessly.
Xiao Yihao, groggy, drank a cup of tea.
Hearing the shouts from outside, his eyes opened. "What's going on?"
Gu Qianying looked outside with concern and said.
"It seems someone has fainted."
She turned her head. "Should we go and see? It seems no one wants to save her."
The old woman truly looked pitiful.
She showed signs of foaming at the mouth.
Xiao Yihao supported himself and ran swiftly, like a gust of wind. Before Gu Qianying could react, he had already reached the old woman.
The old woman gasped repeatedly, her hand trembling as she raised it.
Her weak voice slowly came.
"Save me, save me."
Xiao Yihao's eyes flickered as he placed his hand on the old woman's arm.
Her pulse was weak, but her blood was beating strangely, as if boiling.
He then placed his hand on the old woman's neck.
Finally, he confirmed.
This person suffered from a "hot blood" condition.
Due to the dry weather here, she had become this way.
He made a decisive call, beckoning to Gu Qianying.
"Mother, get me a cup of water from the tea house."
He then called out to Ouyang Qinglin nearby, "I need some towels and some blood-stopping grass. Please fetch them for me quickly."
Upon hearing this, both of them hurried back.
Seeing this scene, everyone was astonished.
Because before them, this was merely a child of about ten years old, so calm and composed, and possessing such good medical skills.
Although they were impressed, they also looked down on him with disdain, not caring at all.
They whispered amongst themselves, "A child! Don't meddle in things that don't concern you. We've already called for a doctor, don't cause trouble here, understand?"
As one wave of commotion subsided, another rose.
Some did not believe Xiao Yihao, while others wanted to pull him away.
They put on an air of righteous indignation, like saviors, rolling up their sleeves and stepping forward to pull Xiao Yihao away.
"Little fellow, don't meddle in things that don't concern you. Stop what you're doing and get out of the way."
Xiao Yihao heard these anxious voices, his gaze turned cold, and he squinted to look aside.
He said coldly.
"Whoever dares to step forward will bear a responsibility you cannot afford."
"Do you know what illness this person has?"
Most of these people were foolish, only knowing how to watch the excitement, and had no idea what it was.
They all pushed and shirked responsibility.
In short, their sentiment was that Xiao Yihao was merely being a busybody.
They puffed out their chests and spoke without politeness.
"What else could it be? She's sick! You're an outsider, and you dare to be so presumptuous here? Get lost."
