But then Yan Ruxue rushed over, apologizing to everyone, and pulled Ye Tian away.
"My God, you've come at the perfect time."
Ye Tian smiled, "How many days have you been filming?"
Yan Ruxue: "The third day. Today there's a fight scene, and your opponent is a karate champion named David Davis."
Ye Tian: "Shouldn't you at least show me the script?"
Yan Ruxue giggled, "No need to read it, just listen to me. In the plot, you're a newcomer to Chinatown, and your girlfriend is kidnapped by local thugs. While investigating, you encounter your first opponent, this karate master. You have to fight him for about ten minutes. The more spectacular the fight, the better. American audiences love this kind of exciting martial arts."
Ye Tian looked a bit hesitant and asked, "Do we really fight?"
Yan Ruxue: "At least make the audience believe you're fighting for real."
Ye Tian thought for a moment and said, "Alright then."
He was taken to the set, where a man about 1.9 meters tall with a robust physique was practicing kicks. He possessed great power, and his punches were formidable.
Yan Ruxue said, "Brother Tian, this is David. He's the North American Karate Champion, very strong."
Seeing Ye Tian, David Davis walked over, and Yan Ruxue introduced them.
"David, this is the male lead, Mr. Ye Tian."
David smiled and extended his hand, and Ye Tian shook it.
"Mr. Ye, I've seen your movies. Your movements are incredibly beautiful, and you must be a master!"
Ye Tian: "Mr. Davis, you flatter me."
"No, no, I'm speaking from the heart. I admire you greatly." He enthusiastically led Ye Tian to an open space nearby. "So, I'd like to spar with you first, Mr. Ye. That way, when we act our scene later, I'll know how much strength to use."
On the surface, this was a compliment to Ye Tian, but it was actually a boast, implying his own strength was superior to Ye Tian's by mentioning how much force he would use.
Ye Tian said, "David, just go all out. Treat me as the target you need to defeat."
David raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? What if I injure Mr. Ye? The movie can't continue then."
Ye Tian knew this man wouldn't give up unless he showed him his skills. He then led them to an open area with sandbags and other props.
Ye Tian said, "Davis, give it your all. Don't hold back."
Davis sneered inwardly, then took two steps forward and launched into an aerial kick.
His movements were flashy, clearly indicating he didn't take Ye Tian seriously.
Ye Tian directly met the kick with his own, sending Davis flying several meters. Davis spun in the air a few times before crashing heavily onto a sandbag. However, Ye Tian's kick lacked force; he used a soft power, so Davis wasn't injured, nor did he feel any pain.
Upon landing, Davis was stunned. He looked at Ye Tian in disbelief and said, "Good! This time, I'm getting serious!"
He attacked again, closing in before suddenly unleashing a kick. Ye Tian retreated and then advanced, delivering a flying kick to Davis's face.
Davis was sent flying again, his face swelling, but he was still not injured.
After five consecutive attacks, all of which Ye Tian had repelled, Davis finally realized Ye Tian's strength far surpassed his own. He exclaimed, "Ye, your power is terrifying. And I feel like you haven't even used your full strength."
Yan Ruxue smiled, "How was your spar? Can we start filming?"
Ye Tian: "Anytime."
The fight choreographer then stepped forward and said, "You are both masters. I'll just briefly explain the moves; you can improvise."
After hearing it once, Ye Tian understood. The scene required punches, kicks, a long sword, a spear, chain darts, a meteor hammer, and short knives. Each weapon was to be used for at least a minute.
In contrast, Davis had it much easier; he only needed to be beaten.
Ye Tian changed into his costume and went to the filming location. At the director's command, Ye Tian walked out of the hotel. Davis stood at the entrance, his expression cold, pointing at Ye Tian and shouting, "I'll kill you, then I'll crush you under my feet!"
Ye Tian had few lines. He said calmly, "Is that so?"
Davis roared and launched into an aerial kick, even more flamboyant than his previous ones. His movements were beautiful, but Ye Tian sidestepped, flashing to the side, and kicked Davis in the rear, sending him flying seven or eight meters and smashing a wooden frame nearby into pieces.
The director's eyes lit up, and he said to those around him, "Wow, he's amazing! I've been directing for twenty years, and I've never seen such an incredible actor!"
