Ye Tian nodded, "Two million a month. You can live in a villa, drive a luxury car, and you won't have to be my driver anymore."
Zhang Jiliang stared at Ye Tian blankly. "Brother Ye, don't scare me!" Two million, at his current salary, would take him eight years to earn!
Ye Tian said, "Follow me."
He led Zhang Jiliang to the previous house, then lifted the stone slab and jumped down with him.
When Zhang Jiliang saw the boxes of various sizes, a familiar feeling resurfaced. He murmured, "I think I've seen these things before."
Ye Tian explained, "These items are priceless. No, their value cannot be measured by money. Any single item taken to auction would be a treasure worth hundreds of millions."
Zhang Jiliang swallowed, "Brother Ye, why are you telling me this? If I know, I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep anymore."
Ye Tian chuckled, "There is a cause for every effect. These things might have belonged to you back then, or perhaps you were a witness. Besides, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here. So, you also deserve credit."
Then he looked at Zhang Jiliang. "Besides the two million monthly salary, you can pick a batch of these items to take with you. Sell them or keep them as collectibles, it's your decision. Or, I can give you a sum of money, enough for you to live a life of wealth and prosperity, and benefit your descendants for three generations."
Zhang Jiliang was incredibly excited, but he was a smart man. Amidst his exhilaration, he calmed down. "Brother Ye, you really didn't have to tell me. If you hadn't said anything, I would never have known."
Ye Tian smiled, "Mortals fear the consequences, Buddhas fear the causes. Though I am not a Buddha, I am a cultivator. The fact that you can retain memories of your past life means you are absolutely not an ordinary person. So, it's not out of benevolence, but rather I don't want to offend you."
Zhang Jiliang gave a wry smile, "What kind of person am I? If you hadn't helped me, I would have gone bankrupt long ago."
Ye Tian asked, "Have you made your decision?"
