Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Massacre
The sky turned electric blue as Jax descended. His aura vibrated with power, tearing through the air with every step. In front of him, low-level human soldiers and beasts lined up, confident they could stand against him. But that confidence lasted only a moment.
Jax fixed his gaze on the Eternal Abyssal Turtle. His blue aura expanded until it seemed to engulf the entire battlefield. With a single punch, he struck the turtle’s shell with all his strength. The shockwave was instant: an invisible tsunami that ripped soldiers off the ground, sent beasts flying, and destroyed any cover. Every body hit, human or beast, fell to pieces before even reacting. The turtle’s roar was lost amid the screams of death, while Jax stood firm, relentless, watching his power sweep everything away.
The Eternal Abyssal Turtle remained steadfast despite the impact. Its shell, cracked in places, barely budged under Jax’s punch. A deep roar came from its throat as a low, rumbling laugh echoed through the water.
"Nothing’s changed, human..." it said in an imposing voice. "You’re still weak."
Jax smiled, his eyes glowing bright blue.
"That was just a greeting," he replied. "Get ready... now the real battle begins."
Blows began raining down with increasing force. Every punch from Jax was an avalanche, each strike drawing blood from the turtle, but its laws and shell held, deflecting the deadliest attacks. The turtle countered with waves, whirlpools, and charges, but Jax dodged easily, mocking every attempt.
"Is that all you’ve got, old turtle?" Jax shouted, spinning his fist in the air. "You look big and strong, but you bleed just like anyone else."
The Eternal Abyssal Turtle growled, its eyes blazing with rage.
"Impertinent! Don’t you dare mock me! Every strike you land only fuels my fury. Today, you’ll pay for every creature you’ve destroyed!"
As the two clashed, the other kings took advantage of the distraction. The Colossal Octopus King launched a stealth attack from a flank, extending its tentacles with speed, while the Medusa Queen fired paralyzing energy beams at Jax. The turtle watched with gritted teeth, trying to coordinate a defense.
"Oh, now the cowards come to attack from behind?" Jax said with a cold laugh. "Fine, I’ll welcome them... one by one."
Jax’s strikes became even more precise. Every tentacle that tried to grab him was shattered; every Medusa beam deflected with a simple movement of his fist. The turtle recoiled slightly, blocking attacks as its shell began to crack.
Seeing that the turtle wouldn’t yield easily, Jax changed tactics. His eyes locked onto the other kings attempting to coordinate an attack: now they would feel his wrath first. With a roar, he sent blows flying toward the other kings, hurling the Fire Crab King and the Colossal Octopus in an instant, while the turtle watched, growing more tense and focused.
Jax didn’t waste time and lunged at the kings who had attacked stealthily, not giving them a chance to regroup. His movements were so fast he seemed to vanish underwater. First was the Colossal Octopus King: the tentacles trying to grab him were shattered with a single twist of his arm, breaking bones and slamming the monster to the ground.
"Damn you, human!" the octopus roared as its tentacles writhed uselessly. "The entire ocean will devour you!"
"The ocean follows me, idiot," Jax replied coldly. "And today I devour all of you."
The Medusa Queen attacked from above, firing energy beams that could paralyze anyone. Jax dodged, and every strike that grazed his blue aura exploded in shockwaves, obliterating the line of soldiers behind her.
"This... can’t be!" she screamed, seeing her subordinates fall. "Human... this is impossible!"
With a crushing blow, Jax split Medusa in half, while the nearest soldiers fell around her.
"One down," Jax said, spinning and now aiming at the Fire Crab King, who tried to flee. "And you... will follow the same path."
The Fire Crab King tried to charge with his giant claw, but Jax met him with a direct punch, sending him flying several meters. His shell shattered into pieces as he screamed in pain.
[Fire Crab King Lvl 97 has been slain, laws acquired]
Every strike, every movement, was calculated and lethal. Jax showed no mercy. As the kings fell one by one, the Abyssal Turtle watched with growing fury, ready to stop him before he could reach her.
The Abyssal Turtle roared, lunging after Jax with every calculated movement to catch him. Its massive limbs and shell generated currents that could sweep away anyone, yet Jax moved with impossible speed, dodging every charge.
"You can’t escape me, insolent human!" the turtle growled, the water vibrating around her. "Today your arrogance will cost you!"
"Arrogance?" Jax replied as he knocked down the Colossal Lobster King with a single strike. "This is just fun. And you? You’re my toys!"
Another king tried to attack from a flank, joining forces with the turtle and launching combined charges, but Jax met them effortlessly. Every blow of his shattered bones and destroyed limbs as he continued hunting the kings one by one.
"Damn you, human!" the Abyssal Turtle shouted, seeing her allies fall. "I’ll make you pay for every single one of them!"
"Pay?" Jax said, spinning to send a devastating blow at the Octopus King trying to flee. "You haven’t even felt what paying really is, grandma."
The turtle intensified her attack, creating whirlpools that could have destroyed entire armies, but Jax just weaved through them, taking down kings with blows that left a trail of destruction in every step. Every fallen king made the turtle’s fury grow, and every mistake she made was exploited by Jax to advance relentlessly.
As the last of the kings fell, the battlefield fell into a momentary silence, broken only by the distant cries of the surviving women watching from afar. Their voices rose in panic, fear, and disbelief as they saw the devastation around them.
Jax turned slowly, his blue aura flaring even brighter, and faced them. Every eye in the area was on him, but his gaze was unyielding.
"No one will ever hurt you again," he said, his voice calm but carrying a weight that shook the water itself. "Not while I’m here."
The women’s screams shifted from terror to relief, their voices trembling as hope sparked in the chaos. Jax’s presence was absolute, a wall of power they could lean on, and for the first time in the carnage surrounding them, they felt a glimmer of safety.
