Chapter 235: Chapter 128: Geoffrey Plays Dirty (Part 2)
Rebecca Quentin took the robe and immediately walked into the bathroom.
Taking a comfortable hot shower after being caught in the rain seemed like a wonderful enjoyment.
When Rebecca Quentin came out of the bathroom, she had washed away her melancholy and fatigue, and she looked as if she was glowing.
She was wearing a white robe from the motel, simply tied with a belt. It was the most basic style of a robe, yet on her, it appeared particularly alluring. Her slender waist, her exposed white ankles, and the way she looked relaxed and steady in her slippers, all made him deeply fascinated.
Her hair was naturally long, and after washing, it draped over her shoulders like a waterfall. Evidently, she had towel-dried it half-dry, droplets of water gleamed at the tips, sparkling under the open room light.
Rebecca Quentin had just finished her bath, her face naturally flushed. Seeing Howard Geoffrey gazing at her, her cheeks turned even redder, and she said, "Have the change of clothes arrived?"
"Not yet, but they should be here soon... I’m going to take a shower. When the attendant arrives, just open the door."
"Okay."
After Howard Geoffrey went into the bathroom, Rebecca Quentin took a breath and sat on the edge of the bed.
Perhaps because it’s close to the Alton, this motel is much more upscale than the one in the town...
Everything inside looks exquisite, with cozy wall art hanging on the walls, presenting a very high-end look, and even the bedspreads are prettier than those in the other motel.
Rebecca Quentin glanced at her phone to check the time, only to realize it was almost noon. Afraid Christine Quinn might worry, Rebecca Quentin quickly dialed Christine Quinn’s number, "Sis..."
"Becca, why aren’t you back yet?"
"I got delayed a bit on the road, so I might be back later."
"Where are you? Since Marie is back from school and can watch over Andrew, I should come pick you up. If the typhoon comes, you won’t be able to return!"
Rebecca Quentin immediately refused, "No, no need, sis... I’ll hurry back."
Christine Quinn finally detected something strange in Rebecca Quentin’s voice and couldn’t help but ask, "You’re stammering, Becca, aren’t you back yet? What’s holding you up?"
"I..." Rebecca Quentin was momentarily at a loss for how to explain.
Christine Quinn, picking up on the oddity, suspiciously said, "Are you with Howard Geoffrey?"
After a few seconds, Rebecca Quentin briefly explained to Christine Quinn about meeting Howard Geoffrey today.
"So he’s trying to reconcile with you this time?"
"I don’t know, but I don’t believe what he says."
"I don’t know what to say about your matters with him... Since you’re with him, it shouldn’t be dangerous, so you don’t have to hurry back. Wait until the rain eases up a bit; I’m worried about you running into the typhoon on the road."
"Sis, is Andrew behaving well?"
Christine Quinn nodded, "He’s been very good. He’s had two feeds in the morning, played for a while, and now he’s sleeping."
"Haha..."
Just as Rebecca Quentin ended her conversation with Christine Quinn, she heard a knock on the door.
Rebecca Quentin immediately got up to open the door.
A female attendant holding a shopping bag stood outside the door, kindly saying to Rebecca Quentin, "This was bought by the gentleman of this room."
Rebecca Quentin politely responded, "Okay, thank you."
The female attendant replied, "There are also some thoughtful small gifts from our motel in there!"
"Gifts? Oh... Thank you." Probably some complimentary travel vouchers or small decorations with the motel’s logo.
The female attendant smiled mysteriously, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going. Call us anytime if you need anything."
"Okay."
After the female attendant left, Rebecca Quentin walked into the room holding the shopping bag.
Originally, she meant to take out the clothes inside to have a look, but as she pulled them out, several items unexpectedly fell out of the bag.
Rebecca Quentin instinctively bent down to pick them up, only realizing after picking them up that these items were... condoms.
They didn’t look like the ordinary ones, so she didn’t recognize them at first.
Just as Rebecca Quentin was holding the condoms, frozen in place, the bathroom door suddenly opened.
Rebecca Quentin’s body shook, instinctively hiding the condoms behind her back, and the bag fell to the floor in her nervousness.
Howard Geoffrey had just walked out of the bathroom and his sharp eyes immediately caught Rebecca Quentin’s odd movements.
Rebecca Quentin held her breath, watching Howard Geoffrey approaching her, bare-chested with only a towel around his waist, puzzled.
"What’s wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing, nothing."
"Why are you hiding your hands behind your back if it’s nothing?"
"No, I’m going to change clothes," said Rebecca Quentin, clutching the clothes and swiftly heading to the bathroom.
As Rebecca Quentin tried to pass by Howard Geoffrey, he suddenly caught hold of her.
Caught unprepared, the condoms in Rebecca Quentin’s hand slipped and fell to the ground.
Their eyes simultaneously focused on the items on the floor. The difference was, Rebecca Quentin looked embarrassed and flustered, her cheeks flushed, while Howard Geoffrey’s face was full of interest.
"The motel attendant... She misunderstood our relationship... She..." Trying to explain made Rebecca Quentin’s face burn even more, and her speech became erratic.
Howard Geoffrey naturally knew these items were provided by the motel, but seeing Rebecca Quentin so shy, he decided to tease her.
"I didn’t ask the attendant to bring these," Howard Geoffrey said, taking a special look at the differently packaged condoms.
"It has nothing to do with me..." Rebecca Quentin hurriedly explained.
Howard Geoffrey squinted playfully, leisurely looking at Rebecca Quentin.
Rebecca Quentin involuntarily took a step back, "What... what are you going to do?"
"What do you think?" Howard Geoffrey took a step closer to Rebecca Quentin.
Rebecca Quentin let out a startled scream, retreating continuously, "If you come any closer, I’ll call for help."
"If you call for help, they’ll just think it’s fun between the two of us, and no one will disturb us."
"You... how annoying!!" Rebecca Quentin clutched her robe tightly, body warily against the door.
As Howard Geoffrey passed by the condoms, he casually picked them up and tossed them onto the bed with a grin.
Fear surged in Rebecca Quentin’s heart, her voice stuck as she couldn’t get a word out, "Geof... Geoffrey, don’t go too far!"
"Geoffrey?" Howard Geoffrey curved his lips with a smile, "Sweetheart, is that your new nickname for me?"
He knew full well she just stuttered on her words, yet he deliberately said it like that... how annoying!
