Chapter 56 Bullying Children

Although there was nothing in particular, Tang Li still stayed at the supermarket.

These past few days, Tang Li came to the supermarket very early and left very late every day.

The supermarket had just opened, and if there was anything, she could handle it promptly.

With nothing else to do, Tang Li wandered around the supermarket. Everything seemed normal.

Seeing the supermarket entrance, she saw Tang Guo and the new cashier together, fiddling with something on her face.

Upon seeing Tang Li, the new cashier quickly stood up nervously and said reservedly, "Hello, Boss."

Tang Li smiled kindly at her and nodded, but said nothing.

Tang Li was not familiar with these employees in the supermarket; they were all recruited by Tang Guo.

During the apocalypse, Tang Li did not want to make new friends, as it would only add to her troubles.

Tang Guo also greeted Tang Li before handing the items in her hands to the new cashier and instructing, "Cashiers represent the image of a supermarket. You need to learn how to apply makeup, understand?"

The new cashier nodded repeatedly, "Thank you, Manager."

Tang Guo then went aside with Tang Li to explain.

The new cashier was named Xiao Mo. She was only 18 years old and had just graduated from high school.

The university she had been accepted into was located in the Yellow River flood plain, and the entire school was washed away, so she couldn't attend. She had to stay at home and wait for the school to be rebuilt before she could go to university.

Her parents had both disappeared in the flood, leaving her alone at home.

Tang Guo, thinking of herself, recruited Xiao Mo as the new cashier.

However, Xiao Mo was too young and had never applied makeup before, nor did she know how to do it now.

Just now, Tang Guo was teaching Xiao Mo how to apply makeup.

"Sister Guo Guo, you don't need to explain to me. The fact that I entrusted the entire supermarket to you means I trust you to handle these matters."

Tang Li finished speaking and looked at Tang Guo seriously.

The two of them exchanged smiles.

"Okay, I won't let down the boss's trust!" Tang Guo said with a smile.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened throughout the day.

After dark, Tang Li walked home.

As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw a little carrot-top crash into her like a cannonball.

Tang Li, who exercised regularly, had a stable stance and was naturally fine.

However, the little carrot-top fell onto the ground with a thud and started crying loudly.

"What's wrong, what's wrong? Xiao Wei, who bullied you?"

Hearing the little carrot-top's cry, a shout came from the opposite room.

Immediately after, an old woman, the same one who had said they should look out for each other that day, ran out.

Hearing this, the little carrot-top, still crying, pointed at Tang Li.

Without understanding the situation, the old woman started scolding, "You little b*tch, did our Xiao Wei provoke you? Why are you bullying a child?"

Tang Li, who already knew the nature of this family, was not surprised.

However, being wrongly accused and cursed for no reason made her uncomfortable.

But Tang Li knew that scolding this family was useless; the more she scolded them, the more pleasure they would get.

So, a charming smile appeared on her face.

She took out a chocolate from her pocket, which was actually replicated from her space.

She squatted down in front of the little carrot-top and asked him, "Kid, look, what is this?"

"Chocolate!"

Seeing the chocolate, the little carrot-top's eyes lit up, and he reached out to take it.

He remembered that this was a very delicious thing, but ever since they had left home, he hadn't eaten it.

Having been pampered by his entire family since childhood, he didn't know that he shouldn't take other people's things or say thank you. All he knew was that whatever he wanted, he had to get.

Tang Li was quick-handed and withdrew the chocolate just as the little carrot-top's hand was about to touch it.

She asked, "Do you want it?"

The little carrot-top swallowed his saliva, nodded repeatedly, and said loudly, "I want it!"

Tang Li smiled, extended her fair hand, and peeled the wrapper off the chocolate.

Then...

In the little carrot-top's eager gaze, she put the chocolate into her own mouth.

"I won't give it to you!"

After saying that, she stood up and prepared to go back.

"Ahhhh! I want chocolate! Give me chocolate!"

Seeing the chocolate so close yet gone, the little carrot-top cried even louder and rolled on the ground, throwing a tantrum.

It was as if by doing so, Tang Li would give him the chocolate.

"You little b*tch, why are you so wicked? Is it fun to bully children?"

Seeing this, the old woman pointed at Tang Li and cursed.

A killing intent flashed in Tang Li's eyes, but she didn't curse back.

Instead, she smiled and said to her, "Didn't you just say I was bullying a child?"

"If I don't confirm this accusation, wouldn't I be wrongly accused by you?"

After speaking, she didn't bother with the old woman cursing outside the door or the brat throwing a tantrum on the ground, and directly closed the door.

For the next two days, Tang Li continued to go to the supermarket every day, leaving early and returning late.
