"Little devil, uh—can you hear me?"
Jean Lei painstakingly lifted Gu Ya out of the iron box.
Gu Ya was like a walking corpse, completely unconscious and at the mercy of anyone.
Jean Lei placed Gu Ya flat on the ground, leaning against the iron box, and sat down, spitting out bloody bubbles.
His pants were already smeared with blood, and a deep wound ran across his abdomen, from which blood was still gushing out.
"Little devil, when you entered my consciousness, I… knew what kind of person you were."
Jean Lei’s eyelids drooped as he stared at Gu Ya, speaking with difficulty.
"You love Ye Ying very much, and you protected her very well."
"If you can see her again, please tell her… tell…"
Jean Lei used his last bit of strength, but still couldn't utter the final words.
His hand fell, his head tilted,
and he could no longer breathe.
...
Who is speaking?
Who am I?
Who is Ye Ying?
What should I say to Ye Ying?
"Hey—!"
"Hey..."
"Hey..."
"..."
...
"He's here! Hahahaha..." A man in black camouflage stormed into the room, glanced at Jean Lei, and immediately yelled to those behind him.
Soon another man rushed in, let out a "haha," and fired two shots at Jean Lei's corpse, "Dead as can be! Hahaha!"
"There's someone else here, and he's alive!"
"Ah~ haha, young and strong slaves, don't kill him, take him back!"
"Don't kill the young men and children, capture them all! Kill the rest."
"Okay, hihhi..."
...
What are they talking about?
Who are they taking?
What are slaves?
What does killing mean?
...
"What's wrong with this guy? Why can't he move? Is he faking death?"
The man heavily slapped Gu Ya's face, shouting impatiently, "If you don't wake up, I'll kill you!"
"Boss, he's faking death!"
Another man came up and kicked Gu Ya in the stomach. Seeing no reaction, he delivered another heavy kick.
The immense pain, pressure, and suffocation transmitted from his stomach to his brain,
The darkness before his eyes suddenly vanished,
and light reappeared.
"Yo! He's awake! Hahahahaha! The boss really has his methods. Hey, stop faking, come with us!"
The man said, grabbing Gu Ya and dragging him outside.
"Who am I?"
"Huh? What did you say?"
"Who am I? Where am I? Where is this?"
The man chuckled, "So he's an idiot. Now we have an idiot in the camp, so we'll call you Er Sha! Hahahaha!"
"Er Sha..."
"That's right! Er Sha, come with me, I'll take you to a good place, where you can wear clothes, eat food, and have work to do."
Gu Ya instinctively followed the man, stumbling towards the center of the camp.
When they reached the center of the camp,
all the surviving people in the camp were gathered together and divided into two groups.
One group was younger men and women, and children.
The other group was the old, weak, sick, and disabled.
"It's him!!!" a young man shouted furiously.
"He's the one who led them here! They're all in this together!!!"
The young man yelled angrily and charged at Gu Ya.
"Bang—!"
A shot rang out from somewhere, and the young man fell to the ground.
Gu Ya was startled, his eyes widening,
a flash of white light suddenly flickered in his mind!
A primal, instinctual urge to stop the violence suddenly arose.
But Gu Ya didn't understand why this thought had appeared.
He also didn't understand what had happened to that man, why he was lying on the ground, or what the red liquid flowing out was.
Gu Ya looked up at the crowd,
the unarmed people all cast hateful, angry gazes at him.
"Why are they looking at me like that?" Gu Ya said dazedly.
"Hihhi, Er Sha, you are their enemy! Here's a gun, kill them!" The man beside him said, shoving a gun into Gu Ya's hand, then propped up Gu Ya's hand, raised it, and pointed the muzzle at the old, weak, and disabled, saying, "Yes, that's right, put your index finger here, and pull the trigger forcefully, hihhi..."
Gu Ya turned his head to look at the man and slowly asked, "Why do this?"
The man punched Gu Ya in the face and said fiercely, "What a damn idiot! I'll do it!"
The man grabbed the gun, aimed it at the old, weak, and disabled, saying, "Good company on the road to the West, hahahaha!"
Gu Ya stared blankly at the frail people.
Those people looked at Gu Ya silently, their final hateful gazes seeming to want to kill Gu Ya.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Why, I..."
"Hahahahaha! Die, die, die...!" The man shouted with laughter,
the muzzle suddenly spewed fire,
"Tutututu..." a burst of frantic gunfire,
bloody mist erupted on the old, weak, and disabled, and they all fell like cut grass, motionless.
Blood flowed from beneath them, converging into several rivers of blood.
Gu Ya's head buzzed, as if struck by a thunderclap.
Numbness instantly spread throughout his body,
a flash of light in his mind appeared and then disappeared.
A strong, inexplicable anger surged.
"Waaah—!" A child suddenly burst into tears,
Gu Ya's eyes snapped open, and he looked at the sound.
The young men and women in that group all lowered their heads, afraid to look at the shooter, as if a single glance would get them shot.
Not a single person went to comfort the child.
"What are you crying about!!!"
The man cursed, strode into the group of young people, grabbed the crying child by the hair, and pulled him out of the line.
"Cry again and I'll kill you!" the man said, aiming the gun at the child's head.
The child cried even harder, his cries echoing throughout the camp.
Everyone else, whether the men and women or the men with guns, fell silent.
The entire camp could only hear the child's wailing.
Piercing, shocking.
Gu Ya's inexplicable anger intensified.
"Damn it!!!" the man cursed, pressing the gun harder, "You're asking for death!"
His index finger forcefully pulled the trigger.
Suddenly, a crimson flash appeared,
the gun did not fire.
A crimson lightsaber was embedded in the ground in front of them.
The man's brow furrowed, and he muttered in confusion, "Wh—"
Immediately after, his body was uncontrollably sliced downwards diagonally.
His body was diagonally cut by the lightsaber, and his upper torso fell to the ground with a thud.
Blood gushed out!
It sprayed onto the little boy's head and body, and all over the ground!
Everyone was stunned, and they all looked behind the man.
Gu Ya slowly stood up, his eyes glaring at the man.
"Kill him!!!" someone suddenly shouted.
Gu Ya looked around. Some of the men with guns were charging at him.
"Don't let him go! He's out of weapons!"
"Bang!!" Another shot rang out,
the bullet trailing smoke from the barrel shot directly at Gu Ya.
But in Gu Ya's eyes, the bullet flew so slowly.
He turned his head and dodged the bullet instantly.
A flash of light streaked through his mind again.
Gu Ya, not knowing where he got the word from, casually said, "Ancient Mecha."
A terrifying mechanical roar echoed from the sky: "Master—!"
A giant, dark red mecha covered in blades descended from the sky, crashing directly onto the men with guns.
"Boom—!"
The immense shockwave kicked up dust and gravel, creating a huge crater in the camp!
Everyone was shocked. Then, all of them, whether they had guns or not, screamed in terror and scattered in all directions.
"Master, you seem to be different," the Ancient Mecha said in a low voice.
Gu Ya looked up dazedly at the Ancient Mecha, not understanding what had happened.
"Did… did I summon you?"
"Master, let's take you to a safe place first—!"
"No, that's not right." Gu Ya suddenly clutched his head, a tearing sensation continuously present.
He said tremblingly, "I think… I want to kill those people."
"High-threat humans detected in the vicinity. Order received, slaughter commencing—!"
The Ancient Mecha erupted with scorching and fierce flames,
its body surged forward and quickly rushed towards the enemy mecha群.
Some mechas were cleaved in half by its blades before they could even activate,
Explosions accompanied by shockwaves.
Some mechas that had already taken flight did not escape the attack range.
The Ancient Mecha, like King Kong grabbing a helicopter, seized an escaping mecha with one hand, then brought its arms together forcefully, causing the two enemy machines to collide and explode in the Ancient Mecha's grasp.
The remaining enemy mechas flew into the air, turned their bodies, opened their long-range offensive weapon clips, and unleashed a barrage on the Ancient Mecha.
After a volley of fire and explosions, the smoke cleared, and the Ancient Mecha was unharmed.
"The purest bio-material armor can withstand most bio-energy weapons," the Ancient Mecha murmured to itself.
Seeing this, the enemy mechas immediately turned and fled in all directions.
In just a few minutes, the Ancient Mecha had driven away the intruders.
The vast camp returned to peace.
Mecha wreckage lay scattered everywhere, flames burned, and black smoke billowed into the sky.
It was like a tragic doomsday scene.
The Ancient Mecha slowly walked up to Gu Ya, its mountain-like body slowly crouching, kneeling on one knee: "Master, the enemies have been dispersed."
Gu Ya stared dumbfounded at the Ancient Mecha's massive body and slowly said, "Well... then, what should I do next?"
"Master, I suggest we evacuate quickly," the Ancient Mecha said slowly.
Gu Ya nodded dazedly and said, "Okay... okay."
Just then, urgent footsteps could be heard from the surroundings again...
