Chapter 3 The One Who Gazes Upon the Dragon

A terrifying and majestic roar echoed from the sky. Under the deafening sound, the chaotic crowd within the stadium froze in unison.

*Bang!*

The glass curtain walls of the stadium's ceiling shattered, and countless tiny fragments rained down from above. Yet, everyone remained frozen in place, allowing the glass shards to fall upon them.

Before Chen Luo, a system prompt directly refreshed:

[You are affected by Dragon's Might. Your life level is far below that of the "Frost Sovereign," and all attributes are temporarily reduced by fifty percent.]

[You are attacked by falling debris. The damage is lower than your physical defense value, resulting in 0 damage.]

Under the mighty roar, Chen Luo felt his entire body grow heavy. The spiritual power he had just acquired also became weak and listless.

"Dragon's Might? Frost Sovereign? What exactly appeared outside?"

These terms, no matter how one looked at them, were not suitable for a novice to challenge.

Was this doomsday game so thrilling? Did a major boss appear right at the beginning?

The stadium was in dead silence. Everyone was so oppressed by the Dragon's Might that they could barely breathe. Those with weaker physiques were even forced to the ground by the terrifying pressure.

Chen Luo, relying on his exceptional mental attributes, managed to lift his head. The previously intact glass dome above had completely disappeared.

The scorching sunlight shone directly in. However, none of this could obstruct the shining figure beneath the sunlight.

It was a colossal, almost transparent figure. Its wings obscured the sky. Chen Luo didn't know how far it was from the ground, nor how large it was.

He only knew that the shadow of its wings covered the entire stadium.

As if sensing the gaze cast from the ground, the Frost Sovereign lowered its ice-blue head and looked down with a pair of golden dragon eyes.

Upon seeing only a swarm of ants, the proud giant dragon withdrew its gaze once more.

A hint of human-like boredom flickered in its eyes. Its almost transparent frosty wings trembled gently.

The sound barrier was instantly broken as the terrifying dragon flew directly into the distance.

The people in the stadium, as if surfacing from deep water, began to gasp for air.

Chen Luo, however, was the only one in the field who maintained a staring posture. But at this moment, his condition was far from good.

Blood poured madly from his seven orifices, and the system prompts refreshing before his eyes were quite dazzling.

[Warning!!! You were gazed upon by the Frost Dragon!!! The life level difference between you and the target is too great!!!]

[Warning!!! Under the gaze of a higher life form, your body is beginning to collapse!!!]

Within the few seconds of the Frost Sovereign's gaze, Chen Luo's health plummeted like flowing water. In a short moment, it dropped below 10 points.

[Your health is below 20%! You have entered a severely injured state.]

[In the severely injured state, health cannot be automatically recovered.]

But Chen Luo could no longer bother with these prompts. The moment he met the dragon's eyes, he felt a vast amount of knowledge surge into his mind.

It was knowledge he couldn't comprehend, and he couldn't tear his gaze away. If this continued, he would die.

Fortunately, a swarm of ants couldn't truly capture the dragon's interest. It voluntarily withdrew its gaze and flew elsewhere.

However, Chen Luo's life-or-death crisis was not over. Even though the dragon had left, his health continued to decline.

If nothing unexpected happened, Chen Luo would likely die from blood loss.

The massive blood loss also caused Chen Luo's consciousness to begin to blur.

"Big brother! Are you okay! Don't scare me!!"

Before Chen Luo lost consciousness, the last thing he heard was the anxious cry of the young boy (?) beside him.

God, in my next life, give me a big sister. I don't want cute boys...

His consciousness completely plunged into darkness...

---

The scorching sun dipped below the horizon, and the full moon once again illuminated the night sky.

However, perhaps due to the doomsday game, the moon tonight was blood-red.

The unconscious Chen Luo's mind was filled with the phantom image of the sky he had seen earlier. Although it was far away, in Chen Luo's mind now, those golden dragon eyes became increasingly clear.

The dragon's eyes quietly gazed at Chen Luo, devoid of joy or sorrow, yet filled with an indescribable pressure.

"!"

Chen Luo, who had been unconscious, suddenly opened his eyes and looked at the blood-red full moon in the sky. For a moment, he didn't know if he was in reality or a dream.

Suddenly, a white light approached Chen Luo's face.

[You received healing from Hu Tao. Your health has recovered 5 points, currently at 40 points.]

Chen Luo turned his head and saw a figure with twin ponytails beside him, cautiously extending her right hand. A soft white light was wrapped around her hand.

He had been saved by the Hall Master.

Chen Luo got up amidst Hu Tao's surprised gaze, rubbing his still slightly dizzy head.

This was the good part about being digitized; as long as health was restored, most ordinary damage could be healed.

However, injuries like severed limbs were another matter.

Even though Chen Luo had been bleeding from his seven orifices earlier, after being healed, he had now fully recovered his ability to move.

"Thank you." Chen Luo sincerely thanked the somewhat nervous Hu Tao beside him before observing the stadium.

It was already night, but strangely, the number of people in the stadium not only hadn't decreased but had actually increased compared to daytime.

Even though the doomsday game had begun, the electricity seemed to be unaffected. Under the blood moon, the lights in the stadium were still very bright.

However, the emotions of the people in the stadium did not seem high. In fact, in Chen Luo's opinion, most people wore expressions of confusion and panic.

Just as Chen Luo was about to ask the Hall Master beside him about what had happened after he fainted, a system prompt suddenly appeared before his eyes.

[Congratulations on obtaining a new talent.]

[Talent Name]: One Who Gazed Upon the Dragon

[Rating]: E-class

[Effect]: All attributes +1, Mental attribute +2

[Description]: When the life tier difference is too great, even a single glance from a superior can be enough to kill a being of the lower strata.

But danger is also opportunity. What does not kill you will surely make you stronger.

Although not comparable to those who bathed in dragon's blood, you have indeed gained some benefits from the baptism of the dragon's gaze.

---

Chen Luo looked at his mental attribute, which had now soared to 10 points due to the talent bonus, and was momentarily speechless.

After communicating with the Hall Master beside him, Chen Luo had learned everything that had happened after he fainted.

He had been unconscious for six hours.

After the doomsday game began, many monsters appeared outside the stadium. They were powerful and violent, and from the moment they appeared, they randomly attacked humans.
