Ye Ziyu glanced at Di Mingjue sheepishly, and they both laughed in unison.
Her curiosity already piqued, the laugh made Little Ran even more eager. He tugged at Ye Ziyu's arm, shaking it vigorously, "Mommy, what did you and Daddy go to do?"
Di Mingjue bent down, pressing his icy body against Little Ran's clean clothes.
"So cold!" Little Ran yelped. He was no longer curious and just pushed Di Mingjue outwards.
The more he was pushed away, the more Di Mingjue held on. He deliberately said to Little Ran, "Still curious?"
"Yes, curious." Little Ran had grown accustomed to the cold and no longer felt it.
Seeing his persistence, Di Mingjue whispered in his ear, "We went on a date."
"A date?" Little Ran shouted excitedly.
Every word fell into Ye Shaoting's ears upstairs.
They still had the leisure to go on a date. It seemed they didn't feel the danger yet.
Ye Shaoting came downstairs.
"Big Brother, are you home?" Ye Ziyu spoke.
Ye Shaoting nodded and moved between them. He
Di Mingjue watched him walk out into the rain, his gaze involuntarily following him until he disappeared around the corner.
Why was his dislike growing stronger? Thinking this, Di Mingjue released Little Ran. "I won't tease you anymore. I need to take your mother to change."
"My clothes are wet too," Little Ran complained.
Di Mingjue didn't care. He purposefully pushed Little Ran aside, put his arm around Ye Ziyu, and walked upstairs. "You stuck to me yourself. If you're uncomfortable, change yourself!"
"Biased!" Little Ran shouted.
Taking a step forward, Di Mingjue stopped again because of these words. "Of course, I'm biased. She's my wife!"
After he spoke, Ye Ziyu patted his shoulder hard. "What are you saying to the child!"
"Isn't it true?" Di Mingjue secretly pinched her waist from below, causing Ye Ziyu to wriggle in his arms in pain.
The two bickered their way back to the room, leaving Little Ran standing alone in the living room, feeling goosebumps rise from the conversation.
The backyard.
The practice time had not been met, and Xingxing was still practicing in the rain.
Ye Shaoting came over and watched his focused attitude, nodding with satisfaction. "Lift your arm higher, don't let it drop."
Upon hearing Ye Shaoting's voice, Xingxing immediately became serious. His outstretched hand, his stepping leg, every detail was planned with perfect precision.
After watching for a few minutes, Ye Shaoting picked up the extra staffs from the ground and, in two or three steps, joined him.
He hadn't accompanied him in practice for a long time. Xingxing found it very strenuous at first, and the staff in his hand was almost knocked down.
Ye Shaoting's speed increased, and Xingxing gradually became more strained.
With a snap, the staff fell to the ground.
"You've regressed lately. Your training time needs to be increased," Ye Shaoting said to Xingxing.
He hadn't practiced since being hospitalized some time ago. Xingxing nodded and took the staff from Ye Shaoting's hand.
Rainwater stained his face. Ye Shaoting looked at Xingxing, who was already soaked. Glancing at the time, he said, "Add another half hour of training."
"Okay." Xingxing immediately got back into it.
Ye Shaoting stopped accompanying him and turned to leave the Ye residence.
Ye Ziyu was just closing the window on the balcony. She watched the car disappear from the entrance. As she turned, she inadvertently saw a figure moving in the backyard.
It was raining heavily late at night, who was still outside?
Di Mingjue came up behind her. "What are you looking at? So engrossed?"
"Take a look at the backyard, is there anyone else out there?" Ye Ziyu pointed.
Upon closer inspection, Di Mingjue said, "It looks like Xingxing. But it's raining outside, why is he still out there?"
"I'll go take a look." Ye Ziyu casually put on a jacket, grabbed a blanket, and left the room.
