The two of them had been drinking. After leaving the restaurant, Di Dongsheng hailed a taxi by the roadside. He moved Jiang Feifei, who was unconscious and mumbling, in his arms, her responses to his questions nonexistent.
“To Changsheng Hotel,” Di Dongsheng informed the driver of their destination.
Arriving at the hotel downstairs, Jiang Feifei’s body had gone limp as if made of water. No matter how Di Dongsheng called out to her, the person in his arms showed no reaction.
The driver kept glancing back, his eyes conveying a sense of urgency.
Di Dongsheng got out of the car first. He went to the other side and opened the door, sticking half his body in. With one hand on Jiang Feifei’s waist, he pulled her out of the car and then switched to a princess carry.
As he walked into the hotel lobby, his actions immediately attracted the attention of the front desk staff.
Changsheng Hotel was an investment of Di Jue Group. Di Dongsheng, as the former president, was recognized by the staff.
The first staff member to notice hurried out from behind the counter, greeting him warmly, “Mr. Di, are you checking in?”
Di Dongsheng nodded.
Another staff member, upon hearing this, retrieved the presidential suite key card from under the cash register and approached them. Their eyes met, and one of them, holding the key card, led him to the elevator.
Upon entering the room, Di Dongsheng turned to the staff member and said, “You are not needed here.”
The staff member understood, closed the door, and took the elevator down.
Gossip instantly spread through their work group. It was the first time they had seen Di Dongsheng bring an unfamiliar woman to stay.
Everyone began speculating about their relationship, gossiping about their actions at that moment.
Unbeknownst to them, a magazine company was working overtime to rush out the news.
The next day.
Jiang Ziyu was woken up by a phone call early in the morning. She fumbled under her pillow for her phone and swiped the screen to answer.
“Did you see the news?” Mu Liangchen asked in a lively tone.
Jiang Ziyu’s senses cleared. She ran a hand through her hair and tapped open an entertainment app. As soon as the network refreshed, a trending topic appeared before her.
“Did you do this?” she asked, looking at the content.
Mu Liangchen on the other end of the line took a sip of coffee and replied mysteriously, “Guess.”
Jiang Ziyu sat up in bed. “Did you run into them by chance last night, or did you follow them intentionally?”
“Boring, you don’t even think for a moment,” Mu Liangchen grumbled, then narrated the entire story.
Yesterday, after learning about the events at Di Jue Group from Jiang Ziyu, he had guessed that they wouldn’t give up easily. Coincidentally, with nothing else to do, he had left the company and on the way, he saw Jiang Feifei and Di Dongsheng entering a private room together.
Amused, he followed them. He stayed until they entered the hotel and then, searching for angles, took the photos that were now being frantically shared online.
This could be called killing two birds with one stone. The intimate photos of Di Dongsheng and Jiang Feifei stunned Di Jue Group and the shareholders of Jiang’s. Especially Jiang’s, whose stock was about to hit the floor; if there was no turnaround, the company would completely declare bankruptcy.
After hearing all this, Jiang Ziyu couldn’t help but exclaim exaggeratedly, “Not bad, you’re blessed with good luck!”
“That’s for sure. With you as my lucky star, it would be hard for me not to have good luck,” Mu Liangchen complimented her back.
After chatting for a while longer, they hung up. Jiang Ziyu reopened the trending topic and began to read it carefully.
Everyone knew that Di Dongsheng had a wife and children, so the focus shifted to Jiang Feifei, with many believing she had seduced Di Dongsheng.
Netizens had even dug up the incident where she snatched Jiang Ziyu’s ex-boyfriend, thus implicating Jiang Ziyu. Some speculated that she wanted to snatch Di Mingjue, but since Di Mingjue ignored her, she had chosen Di Dongsheng.
The internet was in an uproar, and the heat continued to rise.
In the presidential suite of the hotel.
Jiang Feifei sat slumped on the floor, clutching Di Dongsheng’s hand and trying to defend her innocence.
