Chapter 693: Chapter 393: Veins Popped on Henry Sullivan’s Forehead

Ivy Miller woke up and opened her eyes, thinking he must have already left for work.

But as she lazily turned over, she realized he was still there, sleeping right beside her.

She was startled and quickly pulled the quilt up, realizing she wasn’t wearing any clothes after last night.

Ugh, he tossed her clothes on the floor.

How was she supposed to get up and grab them?

She pouted and stared at his sleeping face.

Wasn’t he facing away from her at first?

Now he’s turned towards her, what a tease.

"Have you seen enough?" Henry Sullivan suddenly spoke with his eyes closed, giving Ivy a big scare.

She instantly shut her eyes, pretending to be asleep.

Henry opened his eyes and glanced at her, a smile tugging at his lips: "I know you’re awake."

Ivy squinted one eye at him: "Mister, you’re really sleeping with your eyes closed, huh."

Henry sat up, his bare upper body making her blush.

He reached out to ruffle her hair: "We’ve slept for over three hours, time to get up. Tonight, I’m treating everyone to dinner at the cafeteria, you’re coming along."

"Tonight?" Ivy sat up, covering herself with the quilt, excited: "Are you finally admitting to everyone that you’re a married old man?"

"Old man?" Henry frowned at her, wondering if she really couldn’t speak well or was just trying to annoy him on purpose.

Why did he feel that she was definitely annoying him on purpose?

"Gentleman, I misspoke," she giggled and pointed at the floor: "Mister, can you pick up my underwear on the floor? I need to get up and wash up."

Henry got out of bed, picked up her clothes, and handed them to her. After dressing himself, he headed to the living room.

Seeing him leave, she only put on her underwear before getting out of bed and opening the wardrobe to find an outfit she liked.

She brought quite a few clothes with her, and after rummaging around, she chose a light yellow short dress.

She hadn’t even put it on yet when Henry walked back in from outside.

Ivy jumped and hid behind the wardrobe door, exclaiming: "Mister, why didn’t you knock before coming in?"

Seeing her being so jumpy, Henry couldn’t help but smile: "So, you do get scared sometimes."

"Who’s scared? I just wasn’t mentally prepared."

"That means you’re scared. I’ve seen your body twice already, no need to hide."

As he said this, he walked over to the wardrobe, and Ivy exclaimed: "Hey, what are you doing here?"

Henry, speechless, opened the other side of the wardrobe: "Fine, I’m not looking at you, I’m just grabbing a tie. I’ll head to the cafeteria to make arrangements, call me when you’re ready."

"Okay."

Henry put on his uniform, tying his tie as he walked out.

Ivy stuck out her tongue, wondering whether she had overreacted a little; how embarrassing.

She quickly got dressed and started washing her face and putting on makeup.

She made sure to dress up meticulously to give Henry some face.

Looking at her instantly refined face in the mirror, she smiled contentedly.

Now, his soldiers would surely envy this commander for finding such a great wife.

She shrugged, giving a confident smile to herself in the mirror, then pulled out her phone to check it — wow, it was already past five.

She dialed Henry’s number, and when he answered, she joyfully said: "Mister, I’m ready."

"I’ll come pick you up."

"No need, no need, I’ll come by myself. I already know where the cafeteria is, see you in a bit."

After hanging up the phone, she headed straight for the cafeteria. From afar, she saw Henry standing there waiting for her. Seeing her outfit, a vein popped on Henry’s forehead...
