Chapter 674: Chapter 374
Ivy Miller grinned: "You’ll die of laughter. Your wife is here, and you won’t even spend a night with her. By tomorrow, your whole unit will hear about it.
If you’re not afraid of losing face, just get me a car now. At worst, I’ll just stay in a hotel and come back tomorrow."
Henry Sullivan stared at the woman in front of him, confirming that marriage shouldn’t be rushed.
What kind of stubborn person did he marry?
Being sharp-tongued is one thing, but she dares to say anything.
"You, a 24-year-old girl, sure know a lot."
"Because of work," she said, getting up and starting to pull her suitcase, "Didn’t I tell you? About my job."
Henry felt his temples throbbing. He wanted a divorce.
As she spoke, she started placing items beside the sofa. A loud report sounded at the door, and Henry panicked, quickly saying, "Hurry and pack those things up."
"Why, are you embarrassed?"
"Ivy Miller, I order you, immediately, right now, pack up."
"I’m not one of your soldiers, unless you promise me that you won’t send me away tomorrow," Ivy pouted as she looked at him.
Henry glared at her. In the army, no one dared to threaten him. Has this little girl gone mad?
"Report," another report sounded at the door.
Henry gritted his teeth: "Pack them up."
"Will I leave tomorrow?"
Henry sighed: "Do whatever you want."
Ivy had a victorious smile on her face as she quickly shoved the items under the coffee table, making them invisible.
Henry was infuriated, yet here he was, outsmarted by a little girl... He opened the door to find Xiao Zhang from the infirmary in a raincoat, delivering cold medicine.
After Xiao Zhang left, he tossed the cold medicine by the sofa: "Brew it yourself and drink."
"Uncle, I want to take a shower. I just got drenched in the rain, and I feel terrible."
"Do you think this is the city?
The conditions here are tough; there are no female soldiers, so there’s no female bath."
"Huh?" Ivy made a wry face. Does that mean she won’t bathe for a month: "Don’t the family members visiting here bathe?"
"After the male soldiers’ lights-out, they can use the male bath."
"What if someone comes in unexpectedly? Won’t they see everything?"
"Wouldn’t someone stand guard?"
Ivy nodded, indeed that should be the case: "When do the male soldiers have lights-out?"
"Nine o’clock," he said as he took off his military uniform jacket and hung it on the rack.
"Uncle, then after nine, stand guard for me. I need a shower; it feels awful not to shower. I spent 11 hours on the train today, and a hot shower is the only way to wash away the fatigue."
Henry looked at her. Is there really no regret medicine for sale?
