Qiu Feng Ting Yu

79. Captured

I took an exaggerated step back, putting on a look of terror. "I'm easily scared, don't frighten me. I'll have nightmares."

Wu De: "Good that you're afraid. Hand the person over. Don't try to fob me off with someone else; I have someone here who knows her!" He waved his hand, and a young man in a short-sleeved shirt approached. I recognized him as one of the people who had come with the young master that day.

I stepped forward and slapped the young man across the face, cursing, "What the hell are you doing, acting like a dog? Does Ruicheng need me? You call a black devil your father?"

The young man cupped his mouth, blood trickling through his fingers. Knowing my reputation for violence, he was terrified and hid behind Wu De.

Wu De instantly drew a pistol from his waist and pressed it to my forehead. Angrily, he said, "Believe it or not, I'll send you on your way right now!"

I said, "I don't believe it! This isn't the line, is it? Try firing a shot. I guarantee you won't get out of this door!"

He tapped my head several times in anger, then put the gun away. He grabbed me by the collar and said, "If I don't shoot, you think I can't deal with you? Guards, tie him up!"

With that, several people stepped forward, reaching for my arms.

At that moment, the club's security guards surrounded us, pushing back the approaching men. Seeing our reinforcements, those men immediately formed a battle formation, encircling us in a fan shape.

I had to admire their training; even fighting was done with such ceremony. It was nothing like the chaotic brawl with the young master earlier.

My men were a bit flustered. Fighting was just fighting, but with their neat marching, it felt like a military parade!

These men advanced like a wall, and my men fought them haphazardly. The advancing group seemed unfazed, merely continuing their push forward.

My men had never faced such a situation and were unsure how to attack, finding themselves pushed back!

The men who had grabbed me took the opportunity to close in, sandwiching me between them from all sides. They were all tall and burly, at least half a head taller than me, blocking the view of the people outside.

My men charged to tear at them, but those men stood like pillars of black iron, unmoving. My men were powerless against them.

My hands were tied, and then they stepped aside, shoving me in front of Wu De.

I told my men to retreat and guard the elevators and stairs, trying to prevent them from charging forward.

Wu De patted my face again. I turned my head away. I detested being touched on the face, especially twice. Just you wait, I'll pay you back tenfold!

Wu De said, "Is it worth it for a chicken?"

I said angrily, "Your whole family are chickens! You were born from a chicken!"

One of Wu De's subordinates punched me in the chest, nearly knocking the wind out of me. I felt a warmth in my throat, and a mouthful of blood gushed out. I staggered back, my knees buckling, but I forced myself to stand upright, refusing to fall.

That man then punched me in the stomach. This time, I couldn't take it and collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, my men charged forward and scuffled with them, but it was useless. Soon, a large group of my men were beaten down.

I straightened up, bending at the waist, and looked at the scene before me, shaking my head in pain. This was the first time since I started my career that I had suffered such a severe blow, a truly devastating setback!

I knew Brother Bao and Da Kui would arrive, but with just Da Kui facing dozens of Lao Mian hitmen as strong as iron, he'd likely be outnumbered, and turning the tide would be difficult.

Wu De walked up to me, keeping a slight distance as if disgusted. "Well, aren't you going to hand Xiao Hong over to me?"

Bending over, I said with all my might, "Dream on. I'd rather die than hand her over to you. Bring on whatever tricks you have; I'll take them all?"

Wu De clapped his hands and said, "Well done! Much better than that young master. A pity, though, you'll soon be crippled. All that passion will be useless!"

I said, "Whatever. Stop the pointless talk!"

Wu De: "Alright! Brothers, charge! Dig three feet deep if you have to, but find her. Dead or alive! Five thousand for the living, three thousand for the dead! Go!"

With a wave of his hand, his men surged up the stairs. My men desperately tried to stop them but were no match. However, my men who fell would get up and be knocked down again, yet they refused to yield, continuing to obstruct their advance with all their might.

But our forces were too unevenly matched. Within a short while, they had taken control of the second floor.

I was escorted upstairs by two Lao Mian hitmen, with Wu De following behind, watching his subordinates search room by room.

I knew Xiao Hong wasn't in these rooms, but what did that matter? They would soon reach the third floor, and then Xiao Hong, Jing Lei, and Lan Ya would all be in danger!

They absolutely couldn't reach the third floor. All exits were now controlled by them, and their chances of escape were almost zero!

I felt a surge of anxiety for them. What kind of man was I, unable to protect my own women? Truly pathetic.

The second floor had been thoroughly searched. They ran back to report to Wu De that they hadn't found anyone.

Wu De waved his hand and ordered everyone to proceed to the third floor.

My heart chilled to the point of freezing. This was it. The first room on the third floor was the office; it would be discovered immediately!

I closed my eyes in pain, being pushed from behind, but my legs refused to move.

Wu De sighed from behind me, "Damn it, you're scared too. If you had handed the person over back then, would this be the situation now? You're asking for death!"

I knew I had lost this battle, utterly defeated. The three women in my life, coincidentally gathered today, were now to be captured by that bastard Wu De. I myself was trapped, unable to break free from these shackles, so how could I possibly save them!

This time, it wasn't Wu De sighing; it was me, a young man who thought himself fearless and invincible!

My life was about to reach its conclusion today!

Suddenly, I turned and lunged at the smug Wu De. He hadn't expected me to act so rashly. I rammed into his stomach. With a cry of pain, he stumbled back several steps. His men quickly steadied him. He clutched his stomach, gasping for breath for a long time before recovering.

He pointed at me and said fiercely, "Beat him! Beat him to death!"

The men holding me couldn't hold back any longer, raining blows and kicks on me from both sides, sending me rolling on the ground.

Gritting my teeth against the piercing pain, I was consumed by despair. I had no desire to live. If they were captured, if they were violated, what was the point of my existence?

Even if I survived, I would merely be a walking corpse!

I let them beat me. Death would be a release.
