Nan Gong Qiong, who liked Manx cats

Chapter 6 A Chance Encounter

Lan Hanyu was dressed in a black casual suit and a baseball cap today. Although small in stature, his presence was undeniable.

Even Qi Jiayou sat up straighter, his sharp eyes subtly appraising him.

Meanwhile, Lan Tongtong, cradled in Xuan Mohan's arms, froze completely upon hearing the approaching voice.

"Oh no, I completely lost track of time here. Will Brother be worried sick? Please don't tell Mommy!"

The naive Lan Tongtong hadn't figured out how her brother knew where she was. However, Xuan Mohan, having seen the little girl downstairs and the child behind her, initially thought it was her friend, not her brother.

Now regaining his composure, Xuan Mohan looked back at the boy. He felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity, much like with the little girl.

"Brother, I'm so sorry, Tongtong forgot. Tongtong won't do it again, please don't tell Mommy."

Seeing his sister cling to his arm and act cute, Lan Hanyu indulgently ruffled her hair. "Okay, I won't tell Mommy." Lan Hanyu was truly a doting older brother.

"Thank you for your hospitality, uncles. Sister has caused you trouble."

"Are you the little girl's brother? What's your name?" Lu Haoran was genuinely curious about the child.

"Uncle, my name is Lan Hanyu."

"Lan Hanyu." Xuan Mohan silently repeated the name, his heart softening inexplicably.

"Have you eaten? Would you like some?" Mu Jingxuan asked the child with a smile.

"No thank you, uncle. I should take my sister home, Mommy will be worried." He then took his sister's hand and walked out of the private room.

Lan Tongtong cast a reluctant glance back.

Observing his sister's reaction, Lan Hanyu knew that Xuan Mohan was likely their father. Even he felt an immediate liking towards him.

Long after the two children had left, Xuan Mohan's gaze remained fixed on the exit. Qi Jiayou found it even stranger, as Mo Ke had never acted this way towards anyone, let alone a girl he had only met twice.

"Should we investigate? This little boy is rather interesting," Qi Jiayou finally said after some thought.

"With such wonderful children, I'm truly curious about their mother." It wasn't just Lu Haoran; even Xuan Mohan, who generally disliked women, found himself curious about the mother of these two children.

"Investigate. Lan Hanyu, I want all his information."

Afterward, the four men in the private room exited the restaurant one after another. As soon as they left, Lan Qianqian and her companions, who had just met up with the children, walked in.

They had booked a regular private room to thank her girlfriends for their help over the years. Of course, one meal couldn't repay them, but this meal here was indeed very expensive.

In the Lamborghini, Lu Haoran couldn't fathom how their good brotherly gathering had revolved around one child. More importantly, they hadn't recognized the little girl as their goddaughter. But seeing the little boy, he now really wanted a son himself. No, he had to urge his brothers to make a move quickly. If the other party was unmarried, perhaps he could still... hehe.

After a full day out, Lan Qianqian brought the children home. She was utterly exhausted but still bathed the children, bid her mother goodnight, and then slept with the little girl.

There were three rooms in total: one for Tong Muqing, one for the children, and one for Lan Qianqian herself. Occasionally, the little girl would sleep with her, but today she was particularly clingy.

Next door, "Brother, what are you doing?" Lan Lexuan casually asked his brother, who was operating their mother's computer. He was accustomed to it.

Lan Hanyu didn't reply. He glanced at the intrusive virus on the computer screen, a faint smile gracing his lips. He knew those men would investigate him.

His small hands swiftly typed on the keyboard for a while. The computer system displayed a message indicating normal operation. After typing for a bit longer, he closed the computer.

"Let's go to sleep. You have something to do tomorrow."
