Chapter 1229 The Interior of the Meteorite

At this moment, a vast expanse of seawater suddenly turned black. The darkened sea area was incredibly immense, far larger than even many colossal sea beasts. Numerous sea creatures fled in all directions, seemingly terrified of whatever lurked in the deep.

Upon witnessing this, Fei Siya realized that the leader of the sea beasts was finally about to appear. She had never known what such a leader looked like, but the sheer scale of the approaching beast indicated it would be colossal, dwarfing all others.

Finally, over a vast stretch of the ocean, a purplish-black body emerged. Its form was immense, appearing larger than a small island from a distance.

If Shen Feng were present, he would have recognized the creature before him as a colossal sea beast, akin to the massive blue whale he had seen near Coral Island. It had to be a ninth-tier sea beast to possess such an enormous physique.

Fei Siya was utterly stunned by the sight. She had never imagined the colossal sea beast would be so gigantic. A casual twitch of its body could likely crush her into fragments. Such a massive size was beyond the capabilities of ordinary technology to counter.

Fei Siya managed to identify the creature: it was a giant octopus. Numerous tentacles, like countless vines, writhed in the seawater. Each time a tentacle struck the water, it sent countless waves crashing.

Such a colossal octopus, with a body the size of a small island, had appeared here.

Fei Siya was dumbfounded, pondering if humanity could truly contend with such a monstrous sea beast.

At this juncture, Fei Siya spoke, "Honorable Leader, I merely require a fragment of the meteorite to ensure our cooperation proceeds smoothly. Henceforth, whatever information you wish to know, we can provide, for we possess the crystallized knowledge of human civilization spanning millennia!"

The giant octopus pondered for a moment, then transmitted brainwaves, "No problem, I can give you a meteorite fragment. However, all of you must remain on the island. Anyone who dares to leave this island will be killed by me!"

These sea beasts were not foolish. They understood the need to protect their location. If their existence were revealed, humanity's peculiar methods would undoubtedly lead to their swift demise. Therefore, intelligence had to be strictly contained; no information could fall into the wrong hands.

Sea beasts communicated amongst themselves. Many had encountered nuclear attacks in the past. Years ago, numerous human fleets appeared in the Atlantic. Countless sea beasts attacked these fleets, but then colossal nuclear bombs detonated above them, instantly killing innumerable sea creatures. Only those dwelling in the deep sea managed to survive.

It could be said that no animal, or indeed any living being, could survive within the blast radius of a nuclear explosion.

The octopus understood that it absolutely could not allow its location to be leaked, lest it face relentless attacks. Humanity's offensive capabilities were terrifying, and even it could not withstand them.

Upon receiving this response, Fei Siya was overjoyed. She had expected to spend a considerable amount of time persuading the creature, but it had agreed so readily. Was this the confidence that came with power? Making any decision without opposition?

"I guarantee I will instruct my subordinates to remain on this island!" Fei Siya declared.

"Since you can make such a guarantee, I am at ease. I will provide you with a meteorite fragment. However, in the time that follows, you must recount much of human history and technology. While we cannot instantly master human civilization, we need to understand it to prepare for future attacks!" the octopus replied.

The current situation was quite straightforward. The humans on Iceland needed to strengthen themselves to face future conflicts, and the sea beasts needed to comprehend human tactics to counter their bizarre attacks.

Thus, both parties reached an agreement and prepared to cooperate.

At this moment, the giant octopus suddenly moved a tentacle. This tentacle was thicker and more colossal than the tallest, sturdiest trees in the world, possessing the girth of a skyscraper. Within this tentacle, a blackish-gray meteorite was tightly enfolded.

As the tentacle slowly released its grip, the true form of the meteorite was revealed. It was damaged, with a diameter of only about five meters. Much of its outer rocky layer had peeled away, exposing internal metallic luster.

Fei Siya was astonished upon seeing the meteorite's true appearance, especially the metallic sheen where the rock had flaked off. Even though the luster was dim, it was enough to prove it was the gleam of metal. Such a dazzling metallic sheen was impossible in nature. This left only one explanation: the cavities within the meteorite were undoubtedly artificial, possibly the work of a machine.

"It seems the scientists' speculations were true. There really is alien technology within the meteorite! The machine is encased in a large amount of rock, composed of elements from beyond the solar system. But what lies within is even more precious—it contains all the technological achievements of extraterrestrials!" Fei Siya mused internally.

Countless people on Earth had searched for this meteorite, yet its location remained unknown, and no one had ever seen its true form. Now, she was the first to witness it!

Fei Siya understood that this meteorite was incredibly valuable, and the sea beasts, possessing it, were unable to utilize it.

"Crack..." A fragment of the meteorite suddenly broke off. The tentacle, with remarkable dexterity, caught the fragment and handed it to Fei Siya.

"Here is the meteorite fragment you require. I am giving it to you now! I hope you will not break our agreement!" The giant octopus tossed a fragment of the meteorite to Fei Siya. After transmitting its brainwaves, it submerged back into the water. The meteorite was re-enveloped by its tentacles and sank together into the sea.

As Fei Siya gazed at the fragment of the gray-black meteorite, her eyes gleamed with joy. She knew her chance for a turnaround had finally arrived.

"Though I have little power now, once I possess this fragment, I can cultivate countless superhumans. Then, I will rule the entire continent!" Fei Siya harbored this audacious thought.

Having obtained what she desired, she restarted her small boat, navigated around the floating icebergs dotting the sea surface, and headed towards the shore. An hour later, she finally returned to Iceland.

The weather was extremely cold. Although her group had houses on Iceland, the land was covered in ice and snow, providing neither fuel nor food. To survive, they relied on the nearby volcanoes.

There were no volcanoes on Iceland originally. However, after a large-scale volcanic eruption several years ago, the magma chambers beneath Iceland seemed to have changed, leading to the emergence of a small volcano. It continuously spewed lava, melting much of the ice and snow. In the surrounding areas, it was barely possible to cultivate some crops, and many animals congregated there.

Fei Siya intended to return to her residence and inform others of this news.

Just then, a person appeared on the distant ice surface and was approaching Fei Siya. In an instant, the figure reached her. Fei Siya looked closely and realized it was a woman she had never seen before on the island, filling her with surprise.

"Who are you? How did you get here? Who sent you?" Fei Siya fired off three questions in quick succession, her heart filled with dread. If her recent actions were discovered, she would surely be killed by others.

Humans were inherently selfish creatures. Anyone who deviated from the norm within a group would be ostracized, even framed. Humans who acted against the interests of the entire species would even be killed. By helping the sea beasts and providing human intelligence, they had clearly betrayed all of humanity and would not be forgiven.

Yu Renshu saw the large meteorite fragment clutched in the other woman's hand. The fragment appeared to weigh at least ten pounds, enough to cultivate countless superhumans. No one had ever seen such a massive meteorite fragment.

"Hand over what you have to me. I can spare you, but you must not speak of today's events to anyone else! As for where I came from, you don't need to know. Just know that we have been watching you for a long time, and that is enough. And you had best not reveal these pieces of information to anyone!" Yu Renshu said calmly.

"Dream on! This is something I worked hard to bring back. How could I give it to you so easily? Tell me quickly what you're here for, or I won't be polite!" Fei Siya said angrily.

"You want to be impolite to me? But I know you are incapable of it, because I recognize you. Your Chinese name seems to be Wang Jiao'e! Your ability is telepathy. You essentially have no combat ability, but you are very skilled at communication, even able to communicate with various animals!" Yu Renshu was completely unfazed, knowing the other party's combat prowess was lacking.

Upon hearing this, Fei Siya immediately reacted, saying, "It seems it was you who was following me underwater earlier. I thought my senses were mistaken, but I didn't expect someone was actually spying!"

Yu Renshu remained silent. She then unleashed her abilities, conjuring water spheres in her hands. After all, this was an icy landscape, covered in snow and ice, where her powers could be effectively utilized. If she wanted to kill the other party now, it would be very easy.

"Originally, I didn't want to kill anyone, as it might alert the enemy. But now, with such a valuable item right before me, if I can seize it, it will be profitable. Since that's the case, I have no choice but to resort to lethal force!" Yu Renshu stated calmly.

"Wait! Don't you just want this meteorite fragment? I'll give it to you. But I need your guarantee that you won't kill me. Then we can make a deal!" Fei Siya understood who was stronger. Earlier, she thought the other party didn't know her background, so she had tried to intimidate her. But now that the other party had revealed her identity and even her abilities, her advantage was gone.

A wise person knows when to yield. When one must bow, one must bow.
