Chapter 205: 113. Accident, Heart Racing (Chapter 3, Part 2)

Tomorrow is the publishing deadline again, and Shi Nian plans to reveal the Spicy Girl in this issue. So she always feels that if she stays in the room to write the manuscript... it might be a bit too strange, so she took her laptop and went out.

"Where are you going?" Spicy Girl looked up and smiled as she asked.

Shi Nian waved her library card: "To the library to find some books."

Spicy Girl nodded: "Oh, goodbye."

"Goodbye." Shi Nian glanced back at Spicy Girl and then left the room with her laptop.

.

Shi Nian arrived at the library, found a seat in a window-side corner, and sat down. She set her laptop down but felt somewhat uncomfortable.

In her mind were scenes from her previous conversation with Spicy Girl. She carefully recalled but couldn’t capture anything unusual, so she shook her head. Then she carefully opened her laptop—it’s essential for students in university, and not using it would be strange. However, Tang Yanqing had carefully asked Guan Liang to upgrade and encrypt it, plus it doesn’t store any important manuscripts, as all manuscripts are stored on mobile devices—so she thought, with Spicy Girl’s capability, she shouldn’t be able to open it.

Thus, she felt reassured to start writing her manuscript.

But she still had some odd restlessness, so she set a password on her laptop and stood up to find a couple of books on the bookshelf to flip through.

There weren’t many people in the library at this time. The vast reading room was quiet, almost silent. The enormous bookshelves reached the ceiling, neatly stacked with rows and rows of books, resembling a vast and gigantic forest.

The sea of books is the best way to calm the mind, and as Shi Nian casually searched through books, her mind gradually calmed down.

One book title attracted Shi Nian’s attention, so she pulled it out to read. It contained many little stories, all revolving around dreams as the theme. Shi Nian opened the page and was involuntarily drawn into the content.

The protagonist of the story is a science guy. He says he always inexplicably dreams of a giant banyan tree. The canopy is large, like a green tent hanging down; the trunk requires many people to hug with joined hands. He even always sees children playing and giggling under the tree, and in the dream, he can clearly hear their crisp laughter.

He said he shared this dream with friends and even his wife, and everyone couldn’t help but laugh, saying they didn’t expect him, a science guy, to have such a romantic dream. They also said dreams are false, and he had never actually seen such a big tree in his life, right?

But he himself gradually felt something was off. He checked on his own, saw a psychologist, and after years of searching, he found the answer—it turns out his dream was of his hometown’s village marker, and he was a child abducted from there. Only back then, he was too young to remember being abducted, but subconsciously deeply imprinted the image of this banyan tree.

Subconsciousness kept reminding him through dreams.

Shi Nian, while holding the book, suddenly felt as if a clear spring flowed from head to foot.

She also had a dream, a person in the dream, although she could never see his face or hear his voice—that doesn’t mean it’s just a fantasy dream, and perhaps all experiences were real.

There really was that darkness; there really was someone who, by mere connection, accompanied her in the darkness.

While deep in thought, she felt a gentle touch in her hair. Initially, she paid no attention, thinking it was just a fellow student passing between the bookshelves who had brushed her hair. However, the touch came again.

She startled and returned to her senses, then suddenly turned back to look behind her.

A hand, hovering where her head had been.

Shi Nian was startled, and the person let out a low exclamation.

Then... Shi Nian realized she couldn’t move below the waist.

The hand dropped, revealing a handsome face looking perplexed—that excessively handsome face appeared more radiant under the gentle library lights, even though the boldness of his demeanor did not quite match the library’s ambiance.

The shadowy figure, naturally, was Tang Yanqing.

Shi Nian’s face flushed, and she whispered accusingly, "What are you doing? You scared me."

She spoke while naturally twisting her waist. He stood behind her, perhaps too close—so close that her back was pressed against his front.

This exasperating position... she could feel him through her skirt, um...

She wanted to move quickly away, trying not to attract attention from the teachers and students passing by, which would be awful.

But with this twist... Tang Yanqing let out a muffled groan, grabbing her waist on both sides with his hands, almost gritting his teeth in a low snarl, "Don’t move!"

"What exactly are you doing?" Shi Nian was frightened and took deep breaths, trying to move forward.

Tang Yanqing groaned low again, "I told you not to move! Still moving!"

Shi Nian was stunned. Why wasn’t pulling forward enough?

She could only lean her elbow against the shelf to find balance, then turn her head to look at their connected area—only then did she understand, oh my, it turns out her skirt’s zipper got tangled with the zipper of his pants!

"What is going on here?" Shi Nian was really about to cry.

.

Originally, Tang Yanqing, imitating the Blood Handprint, followed her all the way when he saw Shi Nian come back.

Arriving at the library, seeing her engrossed in reading a book by the shelf, he mischievously wanted to touch her hair, one to find the feeling of the Blood Handprint, and secondly to scare her a bit.

But unexpectedly, the GUCCI limited edition pants he wore today got him into a big trouble—the G symbol zipper head got caught in the circle zipper head of Shi Nian’s skirt zipper...

Though it’s sweet torture... it’s truly an inhuman torment.

.

His breathing grew increasingly rapid, warming her rear neck, and Shi Nian felt hot all over, unable to help but tremble slightly.

He was somewhat flustered and couldn’t detach the two zipper heads. His hands wandered over their connected area, mostly contacting her round curve...

Shi Nian could also feel his embarrassment, so she took a breath, reached back trying to help him.

Thinking that the zipper head was too tiny, a girl’s fingers, even if slender, might be better than a boy’s... but embarrassment returned as she was facing away, unable to see the position clearly, resulting in her reaching hand—

Grabbing a handful, and nowhere near the zipper head she intended to grasp!

.

In sync with her, Tang Yanqing let out a low exclamation. After the surprise, the trembling sound at the end lingered, as if—gasping.

"Hey, you!" Shi Nian let go as if scalded and then quickly covered her face.

Oh my, it’s so embarrassing!

Although her action brought him overwhelming joy, he also understood her feelings. He carefully hissed into her ear to console her, "Sorry, I didn’t mean it."

Shi Nian held onto the bookshelf, trying to imagine below her waist wasn’t her own, closing her eyes lightly, her voice trembling, "You, you move away!"

Tang Yanqing held his breath forcefully, "I’m trying hard, but..." but at this time, it’s hard to retreat.

Amid their struggle, one student from the unaware "audience" got up, holding a book just finished, and walked directly toward their shelf.

Shi Nian saw through the gap in the shelf and, anxious, twisted her little waist, "Hurry up, I’m begging you!"
