Chapter 189: It’s something only adults would do~

While Leo was being tortured by that Gorgon girl, who seemed too interested in him at the same time... not? The whole situation felt twisted, confusing, and almost impossible to define.

So confusing!

As much as he wanted to slap her face, to push her away and show her that he believed in equal rights, his body betrayed him.

For some reason... he was freaking enjoying this!!

The pain, the teasing, the way she leaned in close with those smiles—it stirred something inside him that he didn’t want to admit.

He wasn’t sure why, but whenever he looked into her golden eyes, something strange washed over him. It spread through his body, smooth and heavy, calming him against his will. Even when she pouted with that mischievous expression, he couldn’t bring himself to shout at her.

She really had magic in her beauty! Her presence was like a spell, and he knew it.

Not gonna lie about that.

Meanwhile, Sakura sat in her classroom, blankly staring out the window. The lesson went on, the teacher’s words droning faintly in the background, but her mind had already drifted far from the chalk and paper.

"I am going home," Sakura suddenly announced in the middle of the class. She stood up, her chair scraping the floor, and walked away without a hint of hesitation.

Luna blinked, caught off guard for a moment, though her composure quickly returned. As a professional maid of the Valentine family, she wasted no time. She immediately called the department responsible for student leave... Within moments, the matter was settled, though the teacher’s face burned with frustration.

Still, she was forced to let Sakura and Luna go.

Following close behind, Luna asked in a measured tone, "What happened, Sakura?"

Sakura muttered without looking back, "I just want to go home." Her voice was blunt, as if every word was pulled from a heavy place inside her.

Luna tilted her head, but she didn’t push.... after all, she knew who was responsible for this.

She shrugged lightly. "It’s fine... but can you give me your phone for a second?"

Sakura narrowed her eyes. "Why?"

"I need to inform the Master, of course," Luna replied.

"What about your phone?" Sakura asked suspiciously.

"Mine is not working,"

"Sigh... whatever."

As Sakura handed over the phone, Luna’s fingers moved swiftly. The first thing she did.... was block Leo’s number.

It was easy to find, after all... the contact stood out, saved with a name that was impossible to ignore: ’Darling~’.

Her lips curled faintly as she pressed the option... Done!

Moments later, a sleek black car arrived at the gates. Without speaking, Sakura and Luna entered, the heavy doors closing with a muted thud. The vehicle pulled away, carrying them from the school.

That’s all!

Soon, the final bell echoed through the halls, and the time of leaving the school finally arrived.

After hours of torture and endless lecturing, the day had crawled to its end. The students poured out into the courtyard, laughing, talking, free at last.

But for Leo... The day had ended without any more problems... except for something—or someone.

Someone he had not seen today.

He tried to contact that person. Again and again, he pressed the button, waiting for the ring. But nothing came... Not even a tone!

Leo glanced toward Sakura’s classroom as the last students were leaving.

He stopped one of the students rushing past and asked quickly, "Where’s Sakura? Did she leave early?"

The boy adjusted his bag and shrugged. "She took a half-day leave or something. Left hours ago."

Leo hummed thoughtfully before glancing at his phone display, where the call was still trying to reach her... but nothing.

It almost felt as if she had blocked him or something.

Leo’s face tightened, thoughtful for a second, before he shook those dark thoughts away. It felt impossible—there was no way Sakura would leave him without saying a word.

She wouldn’t do that.

Well... even if she did, he didn’t really have any rights to ask!

Shaking his head with a slightly worried expression, he walked down the stairs. His footsteps echoed faintly in the empty corridor, and upon reaching the ground floor, he spotted Ophis waiting for him.

She had an annoyed face, her eyes blazing, her lips pressed thin, almost pissed off to the point of standing at the edge of killing someone.

Leo weakly chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"Don’t you dare!" Ophis snapped with a threatening tone.

Leo nodded quickly and closed his mouth.

As they walked toward the gate, Leo asked, "So from tomorrow onwards we get practice for sports festival... what do you think?"

But no answer. Of course, she would not... She had to deal with those snoty brats!!

When they stepped out of the gate, a sleek car was waiting just outside the school gates.

Both of them frowned—not exactly because of the car itself. Well, Leo did, but more importantly, their eyes caught the figure leaning against the trunk.

A woman in cooling glasses and a stylish top with a skirt that flashed every curve in bold confidence. She stood there with a haughty expression, her posture exaggerated, like a model on display, begging to be picked up by the eyes of anyone passing by.

The male students especially turned red on sight. Some even tried to approach, their footsteps hesitant, but their gazes burning with awe.

"What the heck is Azrael doing here?" Ophis asked, her face shifting to confusion.

Leo nodded silently. He, too, wondered why she had come here, of all places.

As soon as Azrael noticed them, her lips curled into a broad smile, and she waved her hand cheerfully. Both Leo and Ophis walked toward her, confusion etched on their faces, while the other students whispered and stared at them strangely.

"Well, I didn’t expect you to meet here," Azrael said with a small smile, though her eyes locked only on Leo.

Leo and Ophis’s lips twitched at the same time. She came all the way to their school... and that’s what she said?

Did she not even have a better lie?

Leo sighed inwardly and asked, "Why are you here?" His tone came out blunt, straight to the point, the edge of irritation clear in his voice. He had already dealt with enough nonsense today, and the last thing he wanted was another pain in the ass.

Azrael, of course, noticed the tone. Her throat bobbed as she swallowed downwardly, before replying with a serious voice, "Well, I thought we could do it today..." Her eyes stayed fixed only on Leo.

Hearing that, Leo frowned for a second, then hummed low under his breath.

Ophis frowned harder, "What are you guys going to do?"

Azrael smiled slyly, tilting her head, her voice dripping with suggestion. "It’s something only adults would do~" she said... her gaze still fixed on Leo.

Ophis’s glare sharpened, fire almost blazing from her eyes. "Oi... I am older than you, fucker!"

Azrael raised her brows high, her lips curling as if she had been waiting for that very response. She nodded her head quickly, almost eagerly. "Thank goodness. That means she can go home by herself, right?"

Ophis blinked in disbelief. "What?"

Azrael glanced at Leo, her eyes gleaming, before saying, "Let’s go." She strode to the driver’s seat, slid the door open with a smooth motion, and turned her head back toward Leo, waiting.

Leo looked at Azrael, then at Ophis. His gaze lingered between them for a moment, caught in a silent conflict.

"Can we take her with us?" he asked quietly.

Azrael shook her head, her lips curving in a thin, almost pitying smile. "You know... it’s already hard enough for me to allow you. Much less than another person. And even more—she looks like a child."

Leo sighed. Honestly, he had hoped this meeting could happen later. But since Azrael had shown up herself, it would be foolish to waste this opportunity.

Ophis shifted uneasily, glancing front and back like a child about to be cheated by her parents.

Leo suddenly smiled. Ophis’s face darkened, her expression grim, as if she already knew something terrible was about to happen.

"You will listen to me, right?" he asked.

"The fuck I listen to you!!" she almost shouted, her voice sharp enough to make nearby students flinch. They turned their heads, confused, wondering if they had just heard a child or Leo himself.

Leo grimaced for a second, then lowered his voice. "Listen. If you go home now without causing a scene... I’ll let you drink my blood. Straight from my neck."

Hearing that, her body jolted. Her fangs almost popped out on instinct, as if they had been starving all day.

Her eyes sharpened, fierce and hungry, like a cat torn between two desires it could not choose from. She bit her lip hard.

"D-Do you think you can buy me with your damn blood, bastard?"

’Of course,’ Leo thought inwardly, but he didn’t say it. Instead, he reached up and rubbed his neck, loosening his shirt just enough to reveal a glimpse of pale skin. The movement caught her attention instantly. She swallowed, her throat dry, her eyes flickering hungrily between his neck and the softness of his gaze.

Oh god... she wanted to sink her teeth into him right there and then!!

"Looks like you’re good at seducing a little girl, Leo~" Azrael commented with an amused tone, watching Ophis’s trembling expression as if she were about to grab a piece of candy.

Leo’s lips twitched. He turned his head sharply toward Azrael, only to see her looking away and whistling softly, pretending innocence.

"Anyway... so?" Leo asked Ophis, his voice steady.

Ophis bit her trembling lip again before blurting out, "F-Fine..." The word slipped reluctantly, as if it had been dragged out of her against her will.

Leo nodded, then reached out and patted her head gently. She swatted at his hand in annoyance. She turned and walked away with heavy steps, not before glaring back and shouting, "You’d better come home before it’s too late! Otherwise, I’m telling everything to Raphael!"

As her eyes flicked to Azrael, she lifted two fingers, pointing from her own eyes toward Azrael in a silent warning: ’I am watching you.’

Azrael raised her hand in mock surrender, her grin playful as if to say, ’No, please~.’ She grinned inwardly, then turned to Leo, motioning with her hand for him to get inside.

Leo wasted no seconds before sliding into the fancy car, the door shutting with a heavy thud.

Meanwhile... not too far away, a black crow perched on the branches of a tree near the school grounds. Its dark, glassy eyes reflected the sight of Leo stepping inside the car.

The pupils shrank, unblinking, capturing everything.

The bird tilted its head left and right, as though studying the scene with eerie intelligence, before spreading its wings wide.

With a sharp flutter, it soared into the sky, disappearing into the fading light.

"Ka... Kaaa~"
