Chapter 184 Hating All Men

“At home.” She glanced subconsciously at Zhou Mu’s hand still holding her wrist, feeling a little guilty, her voice growing softer.

“I’m coming back now.” The voice on the other end replied lowly, and the call ended.

Su Yue looked at the call ended message and breathed a sigh of relief.

“Let go of me.” She looked at the boy in front of her again, speaking a little sternly, trying to break free.

Zhou Mu, however, tightened his grip on her wrist.

She showed a pained expression and looked at him in surprise, suddenly feeling a little scared.

This boy, who looked harmless, was taller and stronger than her. What did he want to do?!

Seeing tears of pain welling up in her eyes, Zhou Mu suddenly sobered up a bit and quickly let go, apologizing:

“Sorry, sister… I, I drank too much…”

Su Yue looked at her wrist, which he had grabbed, leaving red marks. Startled, she didn’t bother to reprimand him further and quickly opened the elevator, rushing upstairs to go home.

After entering, she went straight to take a shower.

But her skin was fair and delicate, and the boy’s strength had been too great, so the red mark was obviously not going to disappear anytime soon.

She looked at the mark, gradually blurring under the steam of the hot water, and suddenly thought of Chen Ziming.

If he saw it, how would she explain it?

She could never lie to him.

She suddenly felt annoyed with men, with all men.

They took advantage of their greater strength, their innate advantages, to bully women at will.

She also hated her own weakness, which forced her to rely on men for safety.

She suddenly felt a sense of despair about life.

Just as she was lost in these thoughts, the shower door suddenly opened.

A familiar, tall figure flashed in and immediately closed the door, preventing the heat from dissipating.

Su Yue was startled and took a step back, accidentally bumping the shower handle and turning off the water.

“You’re back?” She instinctively used her left hand, the one Zhou Mu had grabbed, to turn on the water, then quietly hid that hand behind her.

“Mm.” He replied, walking towards her, so close they were almost touching, sharing the water flow together.

Su Yue’s heart instantly accelerated. Even though they had showered together many times, each time, she still felt flustered.

Fortunately, he didn’t say much and didn’t do anything else.

He simply showered quietly, wrapped her in a large bath towel, wrapped himself, and took her out to blow dry her hair.

However, after finishing, a deep but gentle voice sounded from above her head:

“From my grandmother’s house, what did you see?”

Chen Ziming hadn’t called his grandmother, but he could easily guess the reason for Su Yue’s unusual reaction.

His grandparents’ house had many photos. Although not overtly displayed, it wasn't impossible for her to have seen them.

He had anticipated that she might discover who her father was, and that was why he had wanted to go with her, to prevent such a situation.

But she had repeatedly objected, and seeing how well she got along with his mother and grandmother, he had stopped deliberately avoiding it.

After all, she would find out sooner or later. As long as she was by his side, he would find a way to comfort her fear.

As expected, at his words, her body visibly stiffened.

Seeing this, Chen Ziming first hugged her waist, pulling her close, then lowered his head again to ask:

“Did you find out who my dad is?”

Su Yue hadn’t expected him to ask her first.

When he uttered the words “my dad,” images of that day flashed involuntarily in her mind – the gaze from the stage of the assembly hall, sweeping over her, carrying both majesty and pressure.

A person who seemed impossibly high above her.

Yet, he could casually call him “Dad.”

The gap between them instantly became like an uncrossable chasm, wide, long, and bottomlessly deep.

“Yueyue.” He pulled her away slightly, leaned down, and looked into her eyes, which she instinctively avoided.

“Let’s go out first…” She didn’t want to discuss this with him anymore for the moment, and said softly.

Her voice carried a hint of fear.

He didn’t answer immediately but stared at her for another two seconds before suddenly kissing her lips.

The kiss gradually deepened.

In an instant, it cleared her mind, leaving her only able to sense his presence, his scent surrounding her.
