Chapter 52 Liang Daifu Was Actually a Daoist Priest

A yamen runner approached.

"Lord Yan, His Highness Prince Leng has brought us someone."

"Let him in."

Following this, an elder with a white beard and white hair, but a ruddy complexion and an air of ancient wisdom, entered the medical hall with steady steps, holding a whisk.

"Lord Yan, I am a Daoist priest from Wangya Mountain. This Doctor Liang was once my disciple. Six years ago, he violated the rules of the sect due to certain matters and was expelled by me. I never expected him to commit such heinous acts. It is truly a sin, a sin!" the old Daoist said with great distress.

"Old man, stop your false piety. If you hadn't expelled me from the Daoist sect, I wouldn't have done these things."

"Six years ago, your master warned you that there is no such thing as an elixir of immortality in this world. To live long, one must first cultivate the heart. But you refused to listen to my advice, often practicing alchemy in secret and testing medicines on living people. How could I spare you? Expelling you from the sect was out of compassion, wanting to give you a way out. I never expected you to remain unrepentant and commit such crazed acts, killing so many innocent lives."

At this moment, the old Daoist was filled with regret for his past leniency with this disciple.

Upon hearing this, Doctor Liang burst into loud laughter.

"Hahaha—"

"Old man, there is definitely an elixir of immortality in this world, don't lie to me!!!"

"Alas, you are truly beyond saving."

"Enough nonsense, this is the person I hate the most in my life."

After saying this with a ferocious expression, Doctor Liang suddenly broke free from the restraint of two yamen runners. With a flick of his hand, a dagger flew from his wide sleeve, aiming for the old Daoist.

As the dagger flew towards the old Daoist, the onlookers were startled, but the old Daoist remained unfazed. With a casual wave of his whisk, the dagger changed direction and plunged into the wall of the medical hall.

Doctor Liang immediately changed his target. With a palm strike, he killed two unsuspecting yamen runners beside him and then engaged in a fight with other yamen runners.

However, the martial arts skills of the yamen runners were no match for Doctor Liang's. After a few rounds, they were at a disadvantage, and Doctor Liang attempted to escape the Yaowang Hall medical clinic.

But how could he have his way? The old Daoist flashed beside him and, in just two moves, struck him down, causing him to vomit blood.

"Wicked disciple, since you still refuse to repent, then do not blame your master for being ruthless," the old Daoist said with a pained heart.

This disciple was only a few months old when he was found by the river and taken in as his final disciple.

He was very intelligent from a young age and learned martial arts as soon as he was taught, his comprehension far exceeding that of his other senior brothers. The master had doted on him. But for some reason, he was different from other disciples; he was always researching unorthodox methods. As he grew older, his mind became increasingly complex, eventually leading to his expulsion from the sect.

"Stop the nonsense, I'm not afraid of you. Come at me, you old fool." Doctor Liang sneered.

The old Daoist thought for a moment with a heavy heart, then swiftly moved to grip one of Doctor Liang's arms, pulled forcefully, and then pointed his fingers at acupuncture points on his body in a dazzling display of pressure point striking. He then stomped on Doctor Liang's lower leg with force.

Doctor Liang let out a pig-like scream and instantly collapsed to the ground. His over thirty years of cultivation were thus crippled by the old Daoist.

The old Daoist glanced at Doctor Liang, then turned and walked out of the medical hall.

Before everyone could recover, he had already vanished.

"You few, escort this fake doctor back to Dali Temple for interrogation," Yan Song suddenly shouted.

Everyone snapped back to reality. Two yamen runners immediately stepped forward and helped Doctor Liang up.

However, even in this state, Doctor Liang was still unwilling. He roared at the yamen runners, "Let me go! Hurry and let me go! You can't afford to offend the people above me."

"Hmph, even the Son of Heaven commits a crime, he shall be punished the same as a commoner. You have committed so many wicked deeds, His Majesty will surely not forgive you."

Yan Song said angrily. This Doctor Liang was truly hateful. He had killed so many innocent lives for the sake of refining the legendary, non-existent elixir of immortality. He deserved to be torn to pieces long ago.

Subsequently, Yan Song instructed a few yamen runners with strong martial arts skills to escort Doctor Liang back to Dali Temple. He then ordered people to find the coroner and a group of yamen runners to remove all the corpses from the secret chamber for processing.

Leng Ruo Li watched Yan Song busy himself. Feeling that she was no longer needed here, she walked over to bid farewell to Yan Song and then turned to leave the Yaowang Hall medical clinic.

Outside the entrance, a luxurious carriage was parked. The carriage bore a symbol of the character "Leng." Leng Ruo Li knew who was inside the carriage without even needing to guess.

However, she did not walk towards the carriage. Instead, she turned and walked around it. But after only a few steps, her path was blocked by someone.

"What, used this Prince and now you can't even say thank you?" Jun Mohan said irritably.

Leng Ruo Li raised her eyes and glanced at the man in front of her, finding him even more handsome.

At this moment, he was wearing a well-tailored, plain blue robe, yet it couldn't conceal his inherent nobility.

"Oh, then thank you, His Highness Prince Leng." Leng Ruo Li replied casually.

Unexpectedly, Leng Ruo Li's attitude greatly displeased Jun Mohan. He suddenly extended a hand, like a pair of iron pincers, accurately landing on Leng Ruo Li's slender waist. With a light hop of his toes, he instantly arrived on Prince Leng's carriage, leaving Leng Ruo Li momentarily stunned.

Why was this man so overbearing, always abducting her without a word?

"Jun Mohan, what are you doing?"

Leng Ruo Li said indignantly, clearly dissatisfied with Jun Mohan's actions.

Wasn't he supposed to be indifferent to women?

Why did he always make exceptions in front of her?

Jun Mohan said calmly, "Accompany this Prince for lunch."

Leng Ruo Li: "..."

Jun Mohan glanced at Leng Ruo Li's displeased expression, and his face immediately darkened.

"What? Unwilling?"

"It's just lunch, can't you just speak with your mouth? Must you abduct me?" Leng Ruo Li exclaimed loudly.

Upon hearing this, Jun Mohan's cheeks instantly turned red to the roots of his ears. He immediately shouted to Ye Ying outside the carriage, "To Drunken Immortal Restaurant!"

Following this, Ye Ying started the carriage and drove towards the Drunken Immortal Restaurant.

...

Inside the Drunken Immortal Restaurant

Leng Ruo Li looked at the table laden with delicious-looking food before her but had no appetite at all.

This was because she was still deeply affected by the scenes in the secret chamber of Yaowang Hall.

"What, not to your liking?" Jun Mohan asked with a slight frown.

"No," Leng Ruo Li said.

However, Jun Mohan soon recalled what had happened earlier.

Although he had not entered the secret chamber with Leng Ruo Li and the others, seeing their reactions upon emerging, he knew what Leng Ruo Li and the others had seen in the secret chamber.
