“Master, watch me!”
The little snow fox blinked at Leng Ruoli, took a deep breath, and then forcefully blew away the fog in the cold pond. A snow root orchid, entirely silver-white with slender leaves and bright red stamens, about twenty centimeters tall, was instantly revealed in the center of the pond.
Both of them were very excited upon seeing the snow root orchid.
“Jun Mohan, the snow root orchid! That must be the snow root orchid we were looking for. I didn't expect it to grow here, no wonder we couldn't find it,” Leng Ruoli said excitedly.
“Yes!”
Jun Mohan was also very happy. Finding the snow root orchid meant that the wolf poison in his body could soon be cured, and he wouldn't have to continue suffering from its torment.
“Little snow fox, thank you for leading us to the depths of this cave and helping us find the snow root orchid,” Leng Ruoli said gratefully.
“It’s a small matter, no need to be polite. But when you leave Sky Cloud Mountain, you must take me with you, otherwise, I… Hmph hmph!” the little snow fox threatened smugly.
“Taking you down the mountain is no problem, after all, you’ve already recognized me as your master. But you can’t run around and cause trouble after going down the mountain, understand?” Leng Ruoli readily agreed to the little snow fox's request.
“That’s more like it! Hmph hmph!” the little snow fox said proudly.
It hadn't descended Sky Cloud Mountain for hundreds of years and wondered about the changes in human settlements.
“Jun Mohan, quickly take me to fly over and pick the snow root orchid. I need to quickly concoct the antidote for the wolf poison for you,” Leng Ruoli said.
“Alright!”
After Jun Mohan replied, he embraced Leng Ruoli’s slender waist, stomped his feet, and leaped up lightly like a flying bird. He instantly rose several feet, floating gracefully, and landed steadily on the protruding ice pillar in the center of the cold pond. Leng Ruoli immediately squatted down and took a small iron shovel from her space to dig out the snow root orchid along with a block of ice.
As soon as she dug out the snow root orchid, the entire cave instantly collapsed. The water in the cold pond surged several feet high, and the ice pillar they stood on sank. They swayed precariously on the ice pillar. Leng Ruoli wanted to pull Jun Mohan into her space to take shelter, but her system space suddenly closed.
“Holy crap, holy crap!”
What in the world was happening? Why had her system space suddenly closed? This was too much!
“System Jun! System Jun! Say something, why can’t I enter my space?” Leng Ruoli shouted.
After shouting, Leng Ruoli suddenly remembered that because System Jun was always babbling annoyingly, she had muted it out of annoyance. Therefore, even if System Jun heard her call, it couldn't reply.
Alas, she had truly shot herself in the foot now.
No, she could ask that little snow fox that had lived for hundreds of years! Ask it how she and Jun Mohan could escape the cold pond.
“Little snow fox, little snow fox, can you tell me what’s going on?” Leng Ruoli shouted loudly.
At this moment, the ice pillar beneath her and Jun Mohan had completely sunk into the cold pond.
“Master, I don’t know why this cave collapsed either. My previous master didn’t tell me these things before his death!” The little snow fox was also completely bewildered.
At this moment, its small, fragile body was also being drawn into the cold pond by an unknown force.
But just as the little snow fox was being sucked into the cold pond, Leng Ruoli and Jun Mohan were also knocked unconscious by an invisible giant hand.
When the two and a fox woke up again, they found themselves no longer in the cave with the cold pond.
However, Leng Ruoli still held the snow root orchid tightly in her hand. Because her system space was closed, she could only carefully place the snow root orchid into her sleeve pocket.
This was an ice palace supported by twelve thick and long ice pillars. The ice surface beneath their feet was so bright that it reflected their figures. Not far from them was a massive ice gate, on which a beautiful flood dragon was carved.
“Little snow fox, what is this place?” Leng Ruoli asked the little snow fox beside her.
“This is my previous master’s burial site. I haven’t been here since my previous master sent me away,” the little snow fox said mournfully, looking at the ice gate not far away.
“Little snow fox, your previous master is considered a great benefactor to our couple. Since we have the fate to come to your previous master’s burial site, let’s go and pay our respects to him,” Leng Ruoli said solemnly.
Jun Mohan nodded in agreement.
Then, the two walked towards the ice gate. Unexpectedly, they stepped on a mechanism on the ice surface, and the giant flood dragon on the ice gate instantly flew out, spewing a ball of fire towards the two and the fox. Fortunately, the two and the fox reacted quickly enough to dodge the snow dragon’s attack.
Next, the snow dragon spewed a second ball of fire towards them, but it was also dodged by the two and the fox.
To prevent the snow dragon from hurting Leng Ruoli, Jun Mohan immediately drew the soft sword from his waist and attacked it proactively. He opened his palm and gathered inner force, injecting it into his soft sword. The soft sword immediately transformed from a belt into a sharp treasure sword.
Then, he circulated his inner force again, leaped into the air, flew to the snow dragon’s back, and intended to kill it with his sword.
At this moment, the snow dragon also felt danger, flying into the sky and tumbling wildly, constantly spitting fireballs from its mouth.
“Jun Mohan, can you use your flood dragon to fight the snow dragon?” Leng Ruoli asked.
“No, my flood dragon is easily affected by temperature. Too cold or too hot, it cannot transform,” Jun Mohan said helplessly.
Alas, in the end, it was his own weakness. This flood dragon sword had been fused with his spirit and body for so many years, and he still couldn’t overcome this problem.
Jun Mohan pondered for a few seconds, raised his hand to grip his sword, and thrust it into the snow dragon’s back, instantly emitting a blinding flash of fire.
“Damn it!”
Suddenly, Jun Mohan cursed with a headache.
The scales of this snow dragon were too hard! His flood dragon treasure sword couldn’t pierce its flesh.
“Li’er, can you take out a bomb from your system space? The scales of this snow dragon are too hard, and a sword can’t penetrate them,” Jun Mohan asked.
“No, I don’t know why my system space is closed,” Leng Ruoli said with a frown.
Suddenly, Leng Ruoli’s eyes lit up.
“Jun Mohan, climb onto the dragon’s head and stab its eyes with your sword.”
Upon Leng Ruoli’s reminder, Jun Mohan immediately understood. He circulated his qinggong again, leaped onto the dragon’s head, raised his sword, and was about to stab the snow dragon’s eyes.
At this moment, a loud voice came from behind the ice gate: Stop!
