Chapter 174 You Are All in Cahoots

Meanwhile, Shao Lin got up and started to get ready.

"Sister Min, I'm a little nervous," she said, her heart fluttering with excitement and a touch of anxiety. "Do you think he'll accept me?"

"Take it slow. Start with his mother," Wen Min advised.

"Mhm, Auntie is quite pleased with me, she'll probably help," Shao Lin nodded. "By the way, have you spoken to the hospital?"

"Don't worry, I've paved the way for you. You'll go to the hospital for a blood draw, and the blood bags will be switched. The blood bag sent to the child will be Su Ding's. It won't be long before he's fully recovered."

As Wen Min spoke, she stared thoughtfully at the glass bottle on the table.

She was originally helping Jiang Jiayi, but because of Gong Ge, she had meticulously planned and helped Shao Lin. However, Gong Ge hadn't visited in a long time.

"Thank you, Sister Min. I'm going now!"

After finishing her preparations, Shao Lin, with a beaming face, pushed the door open and waved goodbye.

After Shao Lin left, Wen Min became even more restless.

She got up and walked to the operating room. She saw Su Ding glaring angrily at the doctor, demanding to know where she was.

"Miss Su, please don't be upset," Wen Min said, walking over with a smile.

"And who are you?" Su Ding glared coldly at the woman in front of her, feeling a sense of familiarity.

Wen Min possessed striking exotic beauty, making her very recognizable.

If they had met, Su Ding should have remembered her.

"We've met before. You even injured me here," Wen Min pointed to her abdomen.

Su Ding's brows furrowed. After a moment of thought, her eyes suddenly widened. "You're the waitress from that night!"

That night at the fashion show, she had waited in vain for Shao Lin to arrive.

The waitress had lured her to a pavilion, pushed her into the water, and attempted to drown her. Fortunately, bodyguards had arrived in time to save her.

"You're working with Shao Lin!" Su Ding said coldly.

"You could say that," Wen Min smiled and nodded.

"What do you want? Where is my daughter? What have you done to her?" Su Ding feared for her daughter's life, knowing that Shao Lin was capable of such an act, driven to utter madness.

"She's quite safe. Don't worry. As long as you stay put, I won't harm you or your daughter."

Wen Min's voice was soft and polite, but the threat in her words made Su Ding break out in a cold sweat.

"Let me go, and I'll take my daughter away from here. Shao Lin just wants me to leave, doesn't she? I'll grant her wish." Su Ding attempted to negotiate.

Wen Min, however, shook her head. "Don't delude yourself. Don't forget, you have another one on the way. Compliance is in your best interest."

With that, Wen Min pushed the door open and left. Su Ding was left locked inside.

As soon as she stepped outside, she was met by a tall man in a trench coat and black sunglasses entering the courtyard.

"Gong Ge!"

Wen Min's face lit up with surprise and shyness as she went to meet him.

Chen Gong nodded faintly. "Where is Linlin?"

"She just left, headed for the Jin family's." Wen Min was cold, intelligent, and decisive in front of outsiders, a highly reliable woman.

Yet, facing this man, who was over ten years her senior, she couldn't control her infatuation and admiration.

Chen Gong reached out, put his arm around Wen Min's waist, and pulled her into his embrace. "And Su Ding?"

"Her recovery is going well, no major issues," Wen Min leaned into the man's embrace, her face flushed. The two slowly ascended the stairs.

The man had a faint scent of tobacco and a few aging wrinkles on his face, yet he exuded the charm of a mature man.

Wen Min closed the bedroom door, slowly undressed, and positioned herself on the bed in a shy pose, awaiting the man's pleasure.

"You've worked hard."

Seeing the woman's alluring nakedness, the light in Chen Gong's eyes dimmed slightly.

He slowly walked forward, unfastened his belt, and thrust himself inside.

"Ah," Wen Min let out a short moan.

Chen Gong advanced silently, while Wen Min's pretty face flushed with a mixture of shyness and excitement.

Afterward, Wen Min lay in Chen Gong's arms.

"Gong Ge, I will do my best to help Linlin as you instructed."

"Mm, is Su Ding about to give birth?" Chen Gong changed the subject.

"Soon, in about a month." Wen Min asked curiously, "What is it?"

"Nothing."

Chen Gong offered no explanation and lay down to sleep.

Wen Min didn't ponder it further. As long as she could be with the man she loved, nothing else mattered.
