Chapter 233 Come Home with Me

“Jin Miaomiao made the first move, so how can you expect Su Ding to respect her?”

Jin Ye looked directly at the old man, refusing to back down.

Old Master Jin narrowed his eyes and said thoughtfully, “This is the first time you’ve ever defended a woman like this.”

Jin Ye pursed his lips, defaulting to the statement.

“Is Xiao Xi still with her?” Old Master Jin changed the subject, asking in a low voice.

“Yes,” Jin Ye nodded.

“And you’re not going home yet?”

“Su Ding and I haven’t resolved our misunderstanding.”

Jin Ye really didn’t want to bring this up in front of an elder, so he explained it simply.

Seeing his grandson like this, Old Master Jin didn’t know what to say and sighed heavily.

“Regarding Miaomiao and Su Ding’s relationship, you, as the elder brother, should also mediate.”

He admonished him in a low voice, a hint of warning in his tone.

Jin Ye clenched his fist. “Alright, I understand.”

After speaking with his grandfather, Jin Ye went upstairs to knock on Jin Miaomiao’s door.

“Who is it?” Jin Miaomiao called out, her mood foul.

“It’s me,” Jin Ye replied in a deep voice.

Jin Miaomiao froze for a moment, then struggled to get out of bed and opened the door. “Cousin?”

Jin Ye said expressionlessly, “Get up and get ready. I’ll take you to the hospital.”

“Ah?” Jin Miaomiao asked in surprise. “You’re taking me to the hospital?”

“Yes, I’ll be waiting for you downstairs.”

After speaking, Jin Ye turned and left.

Jin Miaomiao was first stunned, then terrified. Her cousin, who had been giving her the cold shoulder for days, was actually offering to take her to the hospital?

She quickly called her best friend Tang Yiyi and told her about it.

“Then, let’s arrange to bump into each other at the hospital.”

After making arrangements, Jin Miaomiao tidied herself up and went downstairs.

In the car, Jin Ye drove towards the hospital.

Through the rearview mirror, he saw Jin Miaomiao in the back seat constantly poking at her phone, her expression nervous and uneasy.

“Miaomiao,” Jin Ye suddenly said.

Jin Miaomiao startled and looked up. “Cousin, what is it?”

Facing the stern and rigid Jin Ye, she felt like a mischievous junior in front of an imposing elder, intimidated.

“Let’s talk,” Jin Ye said in a deep voice.

“Ah, what do you want to talk about?” Jin Miaomiao asked cautiously.

“I hope you won’t have prejudices against Su Ding in the future. If you respect her, I’ll let bygones be bygones regarding your past actions, and I’ll treat you as a sister.”

Jin Miaomiao’s heart immediately stirred with defiance.

However, fearing Jin Ye’s strictness, she suppressed it and replied with dissatisfaction, “But she’s not good… she did such shameful things before, and she sowed discord between Xiao Xi and me, and…”

“That’s enough.”

Jin Ye interrupted her directly, giving up on communicating with her. “You can just play on your phone.”

Jin Miaomiao’s words were cut off, making her feel even more stifled. She pouted and shut her mouth.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Jin Ye escorted Jin Miaomiao to a ward for her examination.

He stepped back and waited quietly.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the hospital, Su Ding entered a ward with the two children.

“Doctor, please examine her. She has many wounds, but she doesn’t feel any pain. What’s going on?”

Su Ding pulled Xiao Tang Ran forward and lifted her arm to show the doctor.

The doctor’s expression changed as he looked at the bruises, and he frowned at Su Ding. “Is this your child?”

“Uh, she’s from my friend’s family,” Su Ding explained.

“How could you be so rough with a child!” The doctor glared angrily at Su Ding and then looked at Xiao Tang Ran, asking her softly how she felt.

Xiao Tang Ran shook her head in response. “It doesn’t hurt.”

Seeing the doctor’s surprised frown, Su Ding also felt a bit anxious.

Finally, the doctor advised her to get a full body check-up to determine the cause.

Su Ding agreed and then took them for their physicals.

Just as they finished their examinations, Tang Yiyi, dressed elegantly in a long dress, walked out towards them.

“Miaomiao!”

Seeing Jin Miaomiao ahead, Tang Yiyi walked up to her and asked gently, “How are you? I just got my medicine and didn’t expect to see you.”

Jin Ye stood by the side, like a stern guardian.

Jin Miaomiao smiled and said, “I’m fine. The doctor said a few days of rest will be enough. Are you leaving too? You can ride with my cousin.”

“Cousin Jin Ye, is it convenient?” Tang Yiyi asked shyly.

Jin Ye remained noncommittal. Just as he was about to leave, a little figure rushed over from nearby.

“Daddy!”

Jin Xiao Xi ran to him and stopped, looking up at him. “Mommy is here too.”

Su Ding, with no other choice, walked forward with Tang Tang, giving them a blank look.

“Are you sick?” Jin Ye frowned as he looked at her.

“No, I’m bringing this child for a check-up.”

Su Ding replied briefly, ignoring Tang Yiyi and Jin Miaomiao, and only looked at Xiao Xi. “Let’s go home.”

Jin Xiao Xi winked at Jin Ye, signaling him to take the initiative.

Just as Jin Ye was about to speak, Tang Yiyi looked at Tang Tang gently. “Ran Ran, what’s wrong?”

Her caring tone was like that of a considerate and thoughtful elder sister.

“You…” Tang Tang looked at her, her eyes revealing unease, and shrunk behind Su Ding.

Su Ding saw it all and stared at Tang Yiyi with an unfriendly expression. “She has many old injuries. Don’t you know about that as her older sister?”

“Old injuries?” Tang Yiyi asked with feigned surprise. “I didn’t know.”

Saying this, she walked gently closer to Xiao Tang Ran and reached out to touch her face. “Ran Ran, Auntie Su Ding bought you these clothes. They’re really pretty.”

Tang Ran, however, pushed her hand away!

“Bad, bad person!” she said, then quickly hid behind Su Ding again.

Tang Yiyi felt displeased. Seeing Jin Ye’s deep, searching gaze, she suppressed her anger and smiled, explaining, “Sister Su Ding, please don’t be offended. Ran Ran and I don’t have the same mother, so she’s a bit prejudiced against me.”

Jin Xiao Xi snorted. Yesterday she called Tang Tang a fool, and now she’s calling her Ran Ran!

Su Ding’s face remained cold. She really couldn’t stand this “green tea” behavior. She glanced at Jin Ye. “If there’s nothing else, we’ll be going.”

Seeing this, Jin Xiao Xi obediently waved goodbye. “Goodbye, Daddy!”

Just as she was about to take the two children home, she heard Jin Miaomiao exclaim angrily, “Cousin, it’s been so long, and Grandfather still hasn’t seen Xiao Xi? This is unacceptable.”

With that statement, Su Ding also paused.

Regardless, Jin Xiao Xi was the eldest grandson of the Jin family. Coming to Nan Jing and not visiting the elders was indeed impolite.

Jin Ye’s expression also turned serious. After a moment of thought, he said, “We’ll go home to visit today.”

Jin Xiao Xi let out a surprised gasp and looked at Su Ding.

“Be good, Xiao Xi. It’s time to go see your great-grandfather,” Su Ding said, as she was not one to disregard etiquette. Just as she was persuading Xiao Xi, Jin Ye’s calm voice cut in, “You’ll come along too.”

Su Ding looked up in surprise, confused. “Me?”
