Chapter 333 That Child

Inside the secret prison.

Ouyang Kai sat leaning against the stone wall, his fingers drawing on the ground, looking rather disheveled.

Hearing the approaching footsteps, he finally raised his head slightly.

"Ouyang Gong."

He said softly, a flicker of an unusual look in his eyes.

Ouyang Gong ordered the prison lock opened and stepped inside, his gaze falling indifferently on Ouyang Kai. "Ouyang Kai, your father hasn't come to save you yet. Could it be he's given up on you?"

"Hmph." Ouyang Kai tugged at the corner of his mouth, revealing a cold smile.

"You don't need to worry. It won't be long before I reunite you all. Oh, and that niece of yours, Su Ding." Ouyang Gong's calm words were laced with chill.

Ouyang Kai's expression changed slightly, and he said coldly, "Then you're being too naive. My father's methods are far more terrifying than you imagine."

"Is that so?" Ouyang Gong chuckled, then glanced at Ouyang Donghe.

Ouyang Donghe slowly took two steps forward, approaching Ouyang Kai with a sinister expression.

"Ouyang Donghe?"

Ouyang Kai finally saw clearly that the person who had been bowing his head was him, Ouyang Donghe!

He looked up and glared at the man, "So it was you colluding with Ouyang Gong. Ouyang Donghe, you really are something!"

Ouyang Donghe pulled at the corner of his mouth, revealing a strange smile. "If that old geezer had given the throne to me sooner, I wouldn't have to do this. Gong Ge is here to help me, and you're all dead."

"Guards, knock him out and take him away," Ouyang Donghe commanded.

Soon, several bodyguards ran in from outside.

Ouyang Kai squinted at them, angrily shouting at Ouyang Donghe, "Traitor!"

But he didn't resist further. Having only drunk water and eaten nothing for three days, he had very little strength.

The leading bodyguard delivered a chop to Ouyang Kai's head, knocking him unconscious.

"Depart for Er Island."

Ouyang Donghe faced Ouyang Gong and bowed respectfully. "Gong Ge, then I'll be going."

Ouyang Gong nodded with satisfaction.

It seemed this upgraded puppet was far more useful than he had imagined.

Just as Ouyang Donghe and the bodyguards were leaving, five more personnel entered.

These five bodyguards appeared much more ruthless than the previous ones.

"Keep an eye on Ouyang Donghe and report any unusual situations to me immediately." xxs1

"Also, have the people on Er Island been deployed?"

The leading bodyguard said in a deep voice, "Our personnel are already stationed on Er Island, and we've used Ouyang Donghe's authority to gain control of some forces. However, to avoid alerting the forces here, we are still proceeding in secret."

"Very well. For now, don't worry about these matters. Imprison Ouyang Kai and seal his news. Let Ouyang Donghe coordinate with the higher-ups on Er Island."

"Yes!"

As the bodyguards left one after another, Ouyang Gong's lips curved into a faint smile.

Everything was about to end.

Over twenty years of planning would soon be perfectly completed, and Jing Island would ultimately belong to him.

A ringtone suddenly sounded.

Ouyang Gong glanced at the incoming call, his expression changing slightly, and then he answered.

"Gong Ge."

A charming female voice came through, tinged with a hint of caution.

Ouyang Gong grunted, "What is it?"

The woman on the other end of the line said softly, "We haven't seen each other in a long time. When will you come see me? I miss you..."

"I've been busy lately. We'll see." Ouyang Gong's words lacked much emotion.

"Mmm, I understand."

The woman sounded a little disappointed, but then her voice filled with gentle affection. "The little one is growing up so fast. He even called me 'Mom' yesterday. He's so well-behaved..."

She paused, then added, "Gong Ge, Linlin hasn't called in a long time."

Ouyang Gong said faintly, "I know."

Shao Lin was currently in Jiangcheng, guarded by Jin Ye's people. He was well aware of this but had no time to deal with it.

He didn't have deep feelings for this daughter.

"You just need to take good care of Su Ding's child. When the time comes, I'll arrange what you need to do."

The smile on the woman's face froze, then was replaced by sorrow, her voice becoming hoarse. "When... when..."

"Soon."
