Chapter 475 The Mysterious Man

In the dead of night, within a remote, desolate forest.

A woman lay on the ground, her eyes tightly shut, a red handprint stark on her face. Were it not for the faint rise and fall of her body, one might mistake her for a corpse.

Then, a cool rain began to fall from the night sky.

The icy droplets kissed her face, stirring her from unconsciousness.

Su Ding’s eyes fluttered open dazedly. Her head spun, and for a moment, she couldn’t recall why she was here.

A cold, rainy night. A sinister forest.

This unfamiliar scene filled her with a profound sense of unease.

“My head feels so dizzy…”

As Su Ding pushed herself up, a wave of dizziness washed over her. Suddenly, she seemed to remember something.

She quickly checked her clothes. Though slightly torn, they were largely intact. Aside from the headache, she felt no other discomfort, seemingly unharmed.

With this thought, she let out a small sigh of relief.

But then, confusion returned. Those people hadn’t done anything to her, they had merely dumped her here.

What on earth was going on?

She furrowed her brow, trying to recall the events that had transpired. Before she could piece anything together, the dizziness intensified, and her body grew weaker.

“No, I must hurry back and find help for them!”

Su Ding gritted her teeth, enduring the throbbing in her head, and limped forward.

The night was too dark; she couldn’t discern the path ahead. But time was of the essence, and she had no choice but to brave the unknown!

“I absolutely cannot fall, I must hold on!”

Su Ding constantly spurred herself on. Whenever she felt close to collapsing, she would pinch herself hard. Her palms were already covered in bloody scratches, yet she seemed oblivious.

Each step she took was unsteady.

The rain grew heavier, the night darker, her eyes almost unable to stay open. Still, she did not stop.

After an unknown amount of time, just as she was about to collapse, a wide road appeared before her eyes!

A road!

This meant she was one step closer to getting help.

The listlessness in Su Ding’s eyes suddenly blazed with light.

She quickened her pace, running towards the road.

Fortunately, a black Land Rover happened to be driving from the other end of the road.

“Jin Ye!”

Su Ding exclaimed with joy, accelerating her pace once more.

However, the dizziness in her head gradually worsened, and every step was taken with immense effort.

Just as her entire body lunged towards the black Bentley, the car that was driving stopped.

Due to the dimness of her vision, obscured by the night and the rain, she couldn’t make out the license plate. But she remembered that her family owned a Bentley of the exact same model, and in the entire Jiang City, only Jin Ye possessed such a car.

At that moment, the car door opened.

A man in black stepped out and walked towards her.

Seeing a familiar face, a faint smile graced Su Ding’s lips.

“Jin Ye, hurry and save them…”

Perhaps the weight on her mind had finally lifted, but Su Ding could no longer hold on. Her body gave way, and she sank into unconsciousness.

The man looked at the woman before him.

She was soaked in rain and sweat, her body so cold it was stiff, mumbling incoherently about “saving.”

Seeing this, the man frowned.

He lifted her into the car and placed her in the passenger seat. The car’s interior light switched on, revealing Su Ding’s haggard and pale face. Her delicate features were still perfect, but now possessed a fragile, almost breakable quality.

“So it’s you… Interesting.”

The man’s lips curved slightly, revealing a charmingly wicked smile.

The man’s hand reached out towards Su Ding’s face. The moment his fingers brushed against her skin, Su Ding, in her daze, turned her head, narrowly avoiding the touch.

A possessive shadow flickered in the man’s eyes. He leaned down slightly and gently kissed Su Ding’s cheek.

Then, he drove away with Su Ding.

Meanwhile, Jin Ye’s car was searching for Su Ding nearby.

According to their investigation, they had located the factory where the kidnappers were holding their captives. However, by the time they arrived, the place was already abandoned.

Su Ding was not there.

“Boss, it’s raining so heavily outside. The sister-in-law should have returned to Jiang City by now, right?”

Luo Zhu asked in a low voice.

Jin Ye’s face was grim, his fists clenched tightly, his heart filled with a desperate anxiety.

Su Ding, where in the world are you?!

He frantically searched the factory inside and out, finding only a few scraps of Su Ding’s clothing…

Seeing this, Luo Ru’s heart leaped into his throat.

He prayed silently that the sister-in-law would be alright, otherwise the boss would go mad again.

Jin Ye’s voice was almost forced out from between his teeth.

“Deploy more personnel, continue searching the vicinity!”

The night was very, very deep.

The rain was falling.

Jin Ye, clad in a raincoat, searched the remote jungle…

He didn’t stop, continuing his search.

Until a phone call came in!
