Chapter 921: Chapter 921: Are You Provoking Me?
When Xia Peng saw Li Feng, he stood up from his seat. Unlike the panic-stricken state a few hours ago, he now walked towards Li Feng with a triumphant smirk.
"Li, have you seen the trending news!"
Xia Peng’s eyes carried a hint of provocation as he looked at Li Feng.
"Ha, you want to use such a despicable method to ruin me. I have to admit you’re clever, but as someone who’s just a kept man living off a woman, that’s the extent of your capability."
"Do you think your little schemes can bring me down?"
"Ha, too bad you’re destined to be disappointed. You think you can destroy me through public opinion? You think too highly of yourself. You seem to forget that I, Xia Peng, am not alone. Backing me is the mighty HY."
"And what about you?"
"A little over a month ago, you had a bit of status, even though you became the chairman of Century by hanging onto a woman, with fame but no real power. But at least you had a woman backing you."
"But that woman used you up, took the money, and went abroad. Century Group is old news."
"And you, who only got where you are by clinging to a woman, seem to have lost touch with reality. You still think you’re somebody."
"Trying to play the big boss, acting all domineering."
Xia Peng looked at Li Feng with a mocking expression. Yesterday, this guy embarrassed him, and the photo scandal this morning made him uneasy. The more Xia Peng had felt humiliated before, the more hatred he felt seeing Li Feng now.
He wished he could stomp on Li Feng and grind him into the ground.
"Ha, last night I almost got fooled by you. I nearly thought you were some bull-headed big shot and even told me to get lost."
Xia Peng gritted his teeth, looking at Li Feng. "You should look in the mirror, you piece of trash."
"How can you, a kept man’s son-in-law, compare to me, Xia Peng, a superstar with millions of fans? Do you even know what a superstar means?"
"Xia Peng, you’ve gone too far."
Zhou Zhishan stood beside Li Feng, looking at Xia Peng.
Xia Peng smirked, turning to Zhou Zhishan. "Ha, Sister Zhou, have you been bewitched by him? Are you still going to stubbornly persist?"
"Do you even know what kind of person he is? Are you still going to cling to such trash?"
"Oh right, this guy’s an expert at freeloading off women, the best at coaxing them. No doubt he’s catered to you comfortably."
"You!"
"What, isn’t it true? Oh, then he must have gotten a lot of money from other women and is using it to support you."
"Tsk, Sister Zhou, you really make me feel low-class. Acting with you, I’m really ashamed. Why don’t you just get out of the crew?"
Xia Peng looked down at Zhou Zhishan.
In the private room, Lu Mei watched coldly. She wanted to see what was so fearsome about the guy her father was wary of.
Being ridiculed by Xia Peng like this, yet not even uttering a peep, she thought coldly.
Sitting in the main seat, Liu Chengfeng watched Xia Peng’s actions as if watching a show, without any intervention.
Though Wang Jie had investigated Li Feng’s background and some circumstances, Liu Chengfeng always felt that Li Feng wasn’t that simple.
So Xia Peng became a test.
If the other party could endure Xia Peng’s cold sarcasm, Liu Chengfeng would lose interest in staying. After all, a worthless, freeloading son-in-law wasn’t worth even wasting a word on.
Zhou Zhishan’s face reddened as she looked at Xia Peng. Before she could blow up, Li Feng pulled her by the arm, placing her behind him.
"Stay behind me, don’t get splattered with blood."
"Hmm?"
Before Zhou Zhishan could react, Li Feng punched Xia Peng in his infuriating face. Saying a word to Xia Peng would be too much for Li Feng.
With a single punch.
Xia Peng’s straight nose instantly collapsed, and blood spurted like a faucet. Li Feng’s punch was precise, not too forceful, yet enough to make Xia Peng look downright miserable.
Xia Peng staggered back two steps before steadying himself, reaching to touch his nose, only to find a hand covered in blood, lifting his eyes to look at Li Feng.
"You dared to hit my face."
"Do you know how much this face is worth?"
Xia Peng glared, roaring low as he charged at Li Feng. Li Feng casually blocked, sidestepped, and tripped him effortlessly, causing Xia Peng to fall face-first onto the ground.
After Xia Peng fell, he tried to get up, but Li Feng raised his foot and stepped on Xia Peng’s chest again.
He pressed Xia Peng back into a prostrate position.
Li Feng didn’t even glance at Xia Peng, raising his eyes to look towards Liu Chengfeng, who was sitting directly opposite the room.
"This dog is barking erratically. As the owner, don’t you know to leash it? If it bites someone and gets kicked to death, would you feel sorry?"
Standing on Xia Peng, Li Feng’s words were extremely arrogant. Lu Mei saw her good brother struggling underfoot and got up abruptly.
After all, Xia Peng was her dear brother.
Lu Mei strode forward. "Li Feng, don’t be so arrogant. Let Peng go immediately."
Li Feng looked at Lu Mei, who stretched her hand over, and reached out to grab her throat, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
"Have I shown you too much kindness? Last time I let you off on your father’s account, but that doesn’t mean you can be so brazen."
Lu Mei’s face turned blue and purple, unable to breathe. Seeing Li Feng’s indifferent gaze, she suddenly felt she made a mistake.
Li Feng, seeing Lu Mei almost rolling her eyes, threw her aside, and she fell to the ground.
Clad in her clothes, as Lu Mei tumbled, her curvaceous figure became even more pronounced, but Li Feng just glanced and looked away.
This Lu Mei was indeed beautiful, with a great figure, a classic domineering presence, but too bad her brain was lacking.
Cough, cough, cough.
Lu Mei kept coughing, gasping for breath.
Li Feng, ignoring her, walked to the round table, pulled out the chair directly opposite Liu Chengfeng, and sat down, Zhou Zhishan obediently standing by his side.
"HY’s Liu Family, if I’m not mistaken, you must be the second son, Liu Chengfeng."
On the way back, Li Feng had Azure Dragon dig into HY’s background, finding out that HY Group was backed by one of the four great families of Hong Kong, the Liu Family.
Although the Liu Family wasn’t as wealthy as the city’s richest Li Family, their financial power was second only to them.
Liu Chengfeng smirked.
"Daring to hit one of my artists in front of me, are you challenging me?"
Liu Chengfeng sat in his chair, looking at Li Feng across from him. Although his words were light, they carried a tone of lofty arrogance.
