Four chapters done.

After thinking it over, I decided to write a single chapter to chat with everyone.

It's strange, I don't know what kind of curse I've been under... For several months in a row, the final monthly votes were always just a few dozen short of reaching a thousand.

For an obsessive-compulsive author, it's quite… distressing.

But actually, I didn't even think about the monthly votes this month, after taking several days off. But in the end, the curse was triggered anyway. Last month, the monthly votes were 15 short of three thousand.

Although I took some days off last month, I still updated 180,000 words, averaging 6,000 words per day. For me… that's quite diligent, especially since when I took days off, I was also busy with other琐事 (suǒshì – trivial matters). On days when I didn't take off, I usually updated 10,000 words.

Taking advantage of the fact that I updated four chapters today, I can stand on the moral high ground. I must show my authority. Those in the comments section who say my work is "watery"... stand up immediately and apologize.

For some readers, not seeing the plot they want to see means it's watery.

In fact, the real readers are always the "silent majority." In the cemetery plot, it's not just Xiao Gu; many perspectives converge to construct the story.

I must take care of every character and ensure the rationality of the story.

If I didn't switch perspectives in order to avoid being "watery," there would be even more voices criticizing the story for "collapsing."

Regarding the plot, there's nothing to say.

This is a single-female-lead, non-tragic, happy-ending story; that's all written in advance.

I spend more time on the outline than on writing the main text. I won't make foolish changes to the outline because of a few comments, so the "silent majority" can rest assured.

When I finished the first volume, I said that my condition was getting better and better.

And now, it's even better.

The following plot will be even more exciting. Let's be a dark horse that gains momentum halfway through the race. Time will tell.

In August, I want more monthly votes to break the curse.

The estimated update count for this month is 250,000 words.

Based on this, every 500 monthly votes after 1,000 will add one more chapter.

Every Alliance Master will add one more chapter.

Silver will add ten more chapters.

Gold, uh, probably won't happen in August. If it does, I'm willing to add a hundred chapters (doge).
