End-of-Volume Summary
The ending of the Traveler's Chapter was indeed not easy to write.
This volume is a crucial transitional one, serving as a "bridge between the past and the future." After completing the plot of this entire volume, my current creative state is one of fatigue mixed with excitement. The fatigue is physical. In November, I updated a total of 260,000 words. With thirty days in the month, I sat in front of the computer for thirty nights straight.
For me, this is probably the limit in terms of word count to ensure quality.
With the end of the volume, I can finally breathe a long sigh of relief.
The Traveler's Chapter was much more difficult to write than the Pure Land Chapter. It required writing a story with more information in a shorter space, as well as introducing the various generals of North Continent who would each play a role in the future. Actually, none of this was difficult. The difficult part was the daily updates! Just for this volume alone, I had tens of thousands of words of outlines. Every day, I was busy overturning plots, finalizing details, and burying Easter eggs.
Those countless discarded drafts piled up in the corner, and the silent dedication of effort and sweat, are probably what give me the confidence to ask for a monthly ticket now.
I made a willful choice of this subject matter.
I stubbornly insisted on the opening I liked.
The initial subscriptions flopped, and I was constantly criticized. I think this is probably because I had already borne the cost of my willfulness, and now I have finally persevered until the dawn arrives.
But being willful is really a happy thing... Even if I have nothing, I don't regret writing what I like.
I had already thought about the title of the fourth volume long ago.
Constellation.
This volume is a true climax – the length will be very long, but the opening will be very slow, gradually transitioning from everyday life. Moreover, the early plot of this volume may be quite controversial. I suggest everyone save it up to read.
I will slow down the update speed in December and January.
For me, I need time to rest and adjust my state.
In these two months, in addition to the daily updates, I will also make a major revision of the free chapters in the previous text – this revision will not change the main plot, but will address the toxic feedback received later.
Once the modification is complete, I will complete the replacement in one go and inform everyone, hoping to improve the reading experience of the free chapters for new readers.
Finally, I will take a day off on December 1st.
Wish you all a good night.
