Concluding Thoughts

Fellow readers... I slept for a whole day before starting to write this "completion speech."

I was really lacking sleep in the later stages of serialization. Everyone always said I updated slowly, but it wasn't actually that slow. The book started on November 26, 2021, and finished on November 14, 2023. Guang Ming Bi Lei was serialized for nearly two years, with over four million words, averaging over 6,000 words updated per day.

Let me give myself a small round of applause, since it's finished, after all, it should be something to be happy about.

Thank you Jingjing, thank you to every reader, and thank you to the Qidian platform. I am extremely grateful to have achieved the results I have today.

Bow, bow, a third bow.

Actually, the "ending" I originally planned was not like this.

The original ending wasn't a very good one. When I was at one million words, the final war I had planned was extremely cold. The deep sea's control over humanity would be more thorough and more desperate, and the price to be paid to defeat the deep sea would be even greater... Chu Ling would sacrifice herself in the Dead Sea. The ending of that version of the story was that the deep sea would have all its consciousness erased, and Gu Shen, who took over the main system, would be alone in the mental sea, searching for the "broken memories" left by Chu Ling, and after a long period of time, he would be able to piece them together into a complete array box.

Why did I make such a change?

Perhaps it was because when I wrote about the deep sea suppressing humanity, a large number of dissenting opinions influenced me.

Or perhaps it was because I inadvertently saw a sentence: "Life is already so depressing, why should the story be so depressing?"

When I was young, I was a very stubborn person.

I insisted on writing Hongyi to death in Luoyang City, and I wanted Cage Bird to brush past Ning Yi, missing each other for life.

But this time, I also felt that the ending of the story should no longer be sad.

Everyone complained about the hasty Qinglong Divine War at the Origin Tower, and the final Deep Sea War... because these were the "replacement versions" after the revision. I'm sorry that this battle didn't rise to a sufficient climax and seemed "anticlimactic." It was because of the revision of the outline, and also because I wasn't prepared enough, and ultimately there was a deviation in the process of "controlling the sea."

Hey. I don't want to make excuses, but I felt that my body and spirit were a little overwhelmed in the later stages of the book.

Especially in terms of mental state, the comments in the book review section were like a barometer. Sometimes I was in a good mood, but after reading the comments, I would suddenly become sad.

In fact, I understand every reader. As long as they pay to support the legitimate version, they have the right to criticize the author.

It's just that there are many attacks that rise to the level of personal attacks. I'm not arrogant to ban you, but I also have the rights of the author...

Of course, more often, the encouragement and comfort in the comment section gave me strength.

If I weren't a person who likes to be serious, then I would probably live ten years longer... I clearly have a lot, but I always care about what I'm missing.

All in all.

I need to rest well.

During this time, I will release a side story to sort out and introduce the characters who were not mentioned as much as possible at the end.

In addition, I will modify the design loopholes in the plot, and I will correct all the "contradictory content" that everyone pointed out in a timely manner.

……

……

What I'm writing next can be considered a casual note, or a sincere explanation to the patient readers, or perhaps what follows is the real "speech"?

Ah ha... (Type 031 opening)

The setting sun is by the window, and the sky is darkening.

It just so happened that I opened the completion speech for Sword Bone that I published on the official account two years ago.

"On the road to pursuing perfection, there are always many imperfections."

Two years have passed, and I seem to have changed a lot, but one thing hasn't changed.

Whenever I think about the empty documents after the completion, I always feel a little lost in my heart, as if a piece of the puzzle is missing.

Regarding this book, Guang Ming Bi Lei... I often see readers in the book review section saying that the Great Capital chapter at the beginning was the best, and the taste changed later, like xuanhuan (fantasy).

Is Guang Ming Bi Lei science fiction? Of course not.

In the online literature market, the possibility of science fiction themes shining is almost zero... Even platinum authors like Gui Gui suffered a Waterloo after trying science fiction themes.

In fact, online literature is like a long bus.

As the driver, the author must change the route in a timely manner according to the feedback of the "passenger" readers.

Because the response was not good, I completely abandoned the original style. As I said before, I am no longer the stubborn young man. The bleakness of real life in recent years has made me start to learn to be "cunning."

In the completion speech two years ago, I hoped that I could earn more money. In fact, my material desires are not high. As long as I can guarantee basic living, I will be satisfied.

Now I finally did it.

I am really happy that I don't have to worry about not being able to pay the rent, I don't have to worry about not having money to eat, and I don't have to toss and turn in the middle of the night, wondering if I don't have any writing talent at all.

Although I never thought about giving up, I am really glad that I didn't give up.

Okay, no more sentimentality.

Bow again. To the dear readers who have read this line, thank you very much for giving me the courage to move forward in the most difficult times. I will continue to work hard and write better words and better stories.

I hope to see you again on the next flight.

Lastly.

The next book will return to the xianxia (immortal hero) genre, and the book will be launched tentatively in January next year.
