Dong dong dong!
Sun Kong had just arrived in the mortal realm, near Sakyamuni Mountain. Before he could find his old friend to chat about recent happenings, he was suddenly drawn in by the sound of rhythmic drumming and Zen chants.
Curious, he walked over to investigate and witnessed a scene that he could never forget!
In just a few months, Sakyamuni had truly established a base at Sakyamuni Mountain and was developing his influence across the entire Kapilavastu Kingdom.
Although most of the population had been taken away by the new Six-Eared Macaque, the remaining population here was less than 1%.
But the magic was this:
As Sakyamuni expounded on his years of Buddhist insights, the remaining few people respected and admired him even more, gradually attracting people from further afield.
Slowly, a small Buddhist kingdom emerged in the mortal realm!
Furthermore, having left the constraints of the Mahayana and Theravada Buddhist schools, the Tathagata was no longer the Tathagata, but the true Sakyamuni.
Every word, every action, every character, every sentence reflected his profound and erudite Buddhist philosophy!
"My name is Sakyamuni, I am reincarnated borrowing the name of Sakyamuni Mountain, and this mountain is named after me."
"My name is Sakyamuni, meaning: capable, possessing four great profound meanings, namely benevolence, Confucianism, forbearance, and tranquility."
"My name is Sakyamuni, unlike the two sages of the Mahayana Buddhist school who pursue the ultimate path of Nirvana, and unlike the Buddhas of the Spirit Mountain in the Theravada Buddhist school who treat Buddhist dharma as sorcery and the Buddhist heart as a battle heart."
"Since my name is Sakyamuni, I should do my utmost to expound a new Great Way beyond the Six Sages and propagate the supreme true dharma of my Sakya clan."
"The first is named the Sutra of Immovable Past, which speaks of immeasurable kalpas of the past, chaotic voids, three thousand gods and demons, Pangu's creation of heaven, and the evolution of sentient beings."
"The second is named the Sutra of Present Karma, which speaks of immeasurable karma in the present, from sages above to blades of grass below, spanning billions of realms, from which no one can escape."
"The third is named the Sutra of Future Reincarnation, which speaks of immeasurable reincarnation in the future, within the Six Realms, the Heavenly Realm is supreme, and beyond the Six Realms, this Buddha is the most honored!"
"Specifically for you disciples of the Sakya clan, it can be summarized as the Three Seals of the Dharma, the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination, the Thirty-Seven Factors of Enlightenment, and so on."
"My Sakya Great Way, though originating from the Greater and Lesser Buddhist schools, transcends them. It does not pursue Nirvana to an extreme, nor does it attach excessive importance to practicality."
"Instead, it is one person and one clan, one clan and one person; one person awakens, the clan awakens; the clan awakens, the person awakens even more!"
"Therefore, starting today, I shall establish a new race, named the Sakya clan. Anyone within the three realms of the Great Desolation who has a heart for Buddhism, a heart for Sakya, can join my sect."
"Beyond the three realms of the Great Desolation, though there are immeasurable unknown beings, they are also entangled by anger, joy, sorrow, love, hate, and desire, unable to attain liberation."
"As the saying goes, 'Lay down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha instantly.'"
"I also say, 'Let go of attachments and achieve the true self. The true self is one, and that is Sakya. Sakya means to release oneself, to release others, to release all beings, and to add truth, goodness, and the Great Way.'"
"Thus, though there are all the Heavens and Sages to govern, and though various tribulations may befall me, I shall neither increase nor decrease, neither deviate nor retreat, by even a single fraction."
"I only wish to emulate Pangu of that year, who in the immeasurable chaos, proudly emerged from the Thirty-Six-Petaled Chaos Green Lotus. Though strong, I cannot be destroyed; though weak, I cannot be deceived."
"Though the river of time may wash away the true spirit, it cannot erase me."
"Though the vastness of space may conceal the true nature, it cannot obstruct me!"
What Sun Kong heard upon his arrival was precisely this passage. Sakyamuni dared to defy heaven, creating a new race and expounding a completely independent Great Way.
Such a grand undertaking was even more rebellious than all of his own reckless actions over the past five hundred years.
Such a vision also made Sun Kong exclaim in admiration for the master's level.
Although their relationship in the past had been up and down, as foster father and son, they were also like brothers.
At this moment, Sun Kong truly admired Sakyamuni's ambition from the bottom of his heart.
The only pity was that, at this stage, the Journey to the West Tribulation was still the primary focus. Regardless of the Great Way, the Heavenly Way, Dao Ancestor Hongjun, or others, none of them paid much attention to this "minor" matter of Sakyamuni establishing the Sakya clan.
Moreover... .oγg
Because the will of the Heavenly Way was constantly focused on the Journey to the West tribulation, it could not divert its attention to other small matters. Therefore, even though Sakyamuni established the Sakya clan, he did not receive infinite merit like the founding ancestors of various races in the past.
Instead, only some scattered snowflakes drifted down from the nine heavens, without any congratulations or blessings, but with an indescribable mockery and ridicule.
This treatment made Sun Kong's fur stand on end, and he instinctively opened his mouth to retort, to court disaster again.
But unexpectedly, before he could speak, Sakyamuni, who had a broader perspective, chuckled.
"Kong Kong, you're being mischievous again."
"Not at all. I, this old Sun, came here because I sensed you were creating a new race and might incur the jealousy of the Heavenly Way or face divine punishment. I never expected there to be nothing."
"Alas, it's no wonder. You've been preaching for months, and I was moved by your words. But alas, the number of people joining is still too small."
"Little Shish, don't you want this old Sun to help you round up 180 million people to accelerate your teachings?"
"Kong Kong, you are still as mischievous as ever. If doing so could make them truly believe in my Sakya Great Way, why would I have reincarnated in the first place?"
"You understand some things better than I do, but on this matter, you truly do not understand me as well as I understand myself."
"My Sakya Great Way absolutely must be separated from the original Greater and Lesser Buddhist schools and forge a different path for a better future."
Sakyamuni's lighthearted remark broke the silence between him and Sun Kong. Seeing that Sun Kong had clearly come with a mission, he did not delay.
With one hand, he beckoned to the clan members who were truly sitting with him, instructing them to comprehend the Sakya clan's Great Way on their own and to prepare food for the two of them.
With the other hand, he raised his right hand, which had not yet recovered any magical power, and pointed to the majestic Sakyamuni Mountain, uttering some words of emotion that Sun Kong deeply agreed with.
"Everyone in the three realms of the Great Desolation thought that you, Sun Monkey, had courted disaster back then, shocked the Buddhas of Spirit Mountain, and forced me to reincarnate. They must hate you immensely."
"Who would have thought that compared to that worthless hatred, I am more grateful to you for lending me a hand to break free from the former Tathagata Buddha, and from the initial Duobao Daoist."
"It was you who made me understand the principle of choosing one path among the three thousand Great Ways and striving for it throughout my life without retreating a single step."
"Whether you believe it or not, in the future, these tens of thousands of insignificant Sakya clan members may very well become like dragons, each a Buddha."
These words, with their boundless vision, deeply moved the heart.
Naturally, Sun Kong was also profoundly enlightened.
At this moment, Sun Kong could see that this reborn Sakyamuni was different from the one in the Blue Star timeline, different from the previous Tathagata Buddha, and different from Duobao Daoist.
He was a true sage who practiced equality for all beings!
