悲殇的秋千

Chapter "277"

“Let’s go out together,” Wen Yang said.

“Huh?” Ning Chu blinked from the couch.

“I’m going to pick up Lily and Yan Xinya.”

“I can go pick them up myself,” he offered.

“Great~ I didn’t want to change clothes anyway.”

Wen Yang chuckled as she lazily sprawled across the sofa. He reached over and gave her a gentle head pat. “So lazy. What are you going to do when I’m not around anymore?”

“That’s why I have you~”

Ning Chu closed her eyes with a pleased hum, leaning into his hand like a content cat.

She loved this feeling. Around Wen Yang, she didn’t need to act like the independent man she used to be. She could just relax and enjoy being doted on. Cared for. Protected.

The more she surrendered to his gentleness, the more she felt something inside her changing—being slowly eroded and reshaped, not into something weak, but into something... fulfilled. Something she didn’t even know she was missing. Maybe it was that emptiness left by her mother’s early passing.

And that made things… complicated.

“I’m heading out.”

“’Kay~”

Their apartment wasn’t far from the village bus stop—just a short walk down the main road. In less than five minutes, Wen Yang spotted the two girls waiting near the village entrance.

He waved and approached, but something about the way Lily and Yan Xinya were looking at him felt... off.

Self-consciously, he wiped the corner of his mouth. Did I forget to clean up after breakfast or something?

He glanced down, too. While “little Wen Yang” had been extremely alert earlier (thanks to a certain succubus's lingering scent), the cold morning air had long since calmed him down.

Still, as he got closer to the two girls, he couldn’t shake the feeling of being examined.

Lily and Yan Xinya gave him a full-body once-over, their gazes sharp and unreadable.

Wen Yang tensed.

“What’s wrong?” he finally asked, awkward under the scrutiny.

“Nothing, nothing at all~” Yan Xinya said, exchanging a glance with Lily before both burst into soft giggles.

“Huh?”

“Seriously, it’s nothing,” Lily added, still grinning. “So… which way to your apartment again?”

“Didn’t you come over before?”

“I forgot!”

“…I’ll lead the way.”

Wen Yang scratched his head, totally confused about what they were laughing at.

Back at the apartment complex, he pointed toward a small three-story building. “It’s on the third floor. Last door on the left.”

As he spoke, a familiar head popped out from a third-floor window—Ning Chu, waving enthusiastically down at them.

“We’ll come up ourselves~” Yan Xinya said.

“I’ll unlock the front for you.”

Wen Yang swiped his keycard at the door’s access panel, letting them in before heading off again.

As he walked away, he muttered to himself, “What were they laughing about…? Did Ning Chu tell them what happened last night? No way… right?”

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Back upstairs, as soon as the door opened, Yan Xinya darted into the apartment like a fox. Her eyes scanned Ning Chu up and down, pausing with a raised brow when she noticed how tightly Ning Chu’s legs were pressed together.

“Morning~” Yan Xinya said teasingly.

“Morning,” Ning Chu replied, flustered.

Lily entered behind her, sniffing the air like a bloodhound.

There was a faint, sweet scent lingering.

She tilted her head toward the trash bin, as if confirming something.

Seeing their reactions, Ning Chu’s face turned red as a cherry.

They’re examining the battlefield... from last night!

With an indignant glare, she slammed her laptop shut.

“So where are we going today?” Yan Xinya asked, pulling up a chair beside her. “To be honest, I thought your place would be more like Lily’s.”

“Like Lily’s?”

“Yeah, filled with all kinds of... toys~”

“No way!” Ning Chu protested, voice rising. “I’m not into that stuff!”

But her guilty tone betrayed her.

Right on cue, Lily strolled over to her nightstand and pulled it open—then, with a mischievous smile, lifted out a massive, intimidatingly designed... staff of destruction.

She turned and gave Ning Chu an innocent look, as if to say, This isn’t yours?

“LILY!” Ning Chu practically exploded. “Take all this stuff with you today!”

She turned to Yan Xinya, red-faced. “She gave them to me! I didn’t ask for any of it!”

“I know~” Yan Xinyareplied, smirking like the devil.

Lily, the picture of fake innocence, gently set the magical... staff back in the drawer. “It’s yours though~ Very impressive, by the way.”

“......”

Ning Chu now fully understood.

This damn succubus wasn’t here to take the toys back—she was here to tease her!

Ning Chu couldn’t lift her head anymore. Her ears were burning crimson as she stammered, “I haven’t even used any of those…”

“Oh? Then what about this one?”

Yan Xinya leaned in, plucking up a massive ball-like capsule with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. She grinned like a catgirl in heat.

“Enough already!” Ning Chu cried.

“You’re a succubus, and yet you’re this shy?” Yan Xinya giggled as she slung an arm around Ning Chu’s shoulders. “You’re so cute~”

Cute, my ass!

She pried off Yan Xinya’s arm with a grumble and muttered, “So… are we going shopping today? Or are we doing something else?”

“Let’s go to the amusement park!” Yan Xinya beamed. “There’s one not far from here, right?”

Ning Chu had gone to that park with her roommates before—actually, many of the trinkets on her desk were prizes from that very place. But when she glanced at Lily’s collection of “toys,” her own cutesy prizes suddenly felt embarrassingly childish. Totally un-succubus-like.

“I don’t feel like going,” Lily murmured.

She wasn’t fond of noisy amusement parks.

“How about a movie?”

“Either’s fine by me,” Ning Chu said as she turned back to her computer. “You two fight it out.”

She opened her PowerPoint to check it one last time before sending her speaking draft to Zhang Shaoqing. “By the way, did your group finish the class project?”

“…What project?” Yan Xinya blinked.

“We finished it,” Lily said, though her tone wasn’t exactly thrilled.

In her dorm group, Yan Xinya was too scatterbrained to contribute, Lin Li was always off doing who-knows-what, and the catgirl Ling Ling didn’t even live in the dorms. That left everything to poor Lily.

And despite doing all the work, she still had to put everyone else’s names on it. Typical.

“Mind if I take a look?” Ning Chu asked. “I want to compare it with ours—just in case it’s… you know, too bad. We can still fix things tonight before the presentation.”

Though… technically, Zhang Shaoqing would be the one presenting. So if they embarrassed themselves, it wouldn’t be her up there.

Just as that thought crossed her mind, Ning Chu’s expression changed.

A sudden heat bloomed low in her belly, quickly spreading across her entire body. Her skin tingled. Her breath caught.

‘No…. not now…’

‘Again?!’

Wen Yang had only left thirty minutes ago!

She hadn’t done anything! How had the script been triggered again?! And the “destruction” progress—had it really gone that far?!

Flushed, panting, and wide-eyed, Ning Chu squeezed her thighs together, her waist giving a subtle, involuntary twitch.

It was getting harder to resist.

Her self-control was crumbling rapidly—especially after last night’s taste of what those “little balls” could do. The memories surged forward, a euphoric wave washing over her mind, blurring the edges of her thoughts. Her breathing hitched. Her body trembled with anticipation.

“Oho~” Yan Xinya’s eyes gleamed. “Too bad Wen Yang isn’t here.”

It wasn’t the first time Ning Chu had gotten like this in front of her friends. Even though shame filled her chest, the overwhelming desire steamrolled right over it.

She staggered upright, bracing herself against the desk. “I—I’m going to the bathroom…”

Without a word, Lily reached out and handed her a familiar little ball.

Their eyes met.

Lily’s gaze was calm and unreadable.

Ning Chu froze, her lips parting slightly. Then, after a moment’s pause, she lowered her eyes, bit her lip, and hesitantly reached out to take it. The ball felt heavy in her palm.

And then, without another word, she fled to the bathroom.

Her mind screamed that this was a bad idea.

You’re spiraling. You’re letting her corrupt you. You’re losing control.

But her body—her traitorous, craving body—already knew what it wanted. Her brain was busy replaying every blissful sensation from last night.

Tears prickled at the corners of her eyes.

She had never felt this humiliated.

And yet… in the end…

She still surrendered…

…to Lily’s tempting little ball of damnation.
