悲殇的秋千

Chapter 257

Early in the morning, Wen Yang was awakened by voices outside.

As his mind slowly cleared, he realized he was feeling short of breath, as if a heavy slab was pressing down on his chest.

He opened his tired eyes and looked down, only to see Ning Chu resting her head against his chest, one of her legs raised high and pressing against his lower abdomen.

She clung to him tightly like an octopus, both arms wrapped firmly around him.

He had become a human body pillow.

After having her little head pressed against his chest all night, he now felt a faint soreness there.

Wen Yang grimaced and carefully sat up, gently moving Ning Chu onto the pillow so she could keep sleeping.

Initially, Ning Chu had preferred to sleep with her head on his arm, but after realizing how numb and sore his arm would get from that, she switched to snuggling against his chest instead.

He sat up and glanced down at Ning Chu’s chaotic sleeping posture.

The girl was only wearing a short nightdress, which had ridden up to her waist, revealing her white underwear and the silver markings in the triangle of her lower belly.

She lay flat on the bed, a pink tail dotted with little hearts tucked sleepily between her legs in a wide, slack “T” shape.

Her whole body radiated pure defenselessness, and despite all his movements, she hadn’t stirred at all.

Wen Yang felt a rush of affection, and then his gaze drifted to her chest.

For some reason, it seemed... a little bigger?

Normally, lying flat would make even the perkiest chest appear smaller, but he could now vaguely notice a fuller shape.

Maybe it was because of his careful "nurturing" over the past few days, or perhaps Ning Chu was simply still growing.

Wen Yang’s hand itched. He carefully reached out to check.

Yep. Definitely bigger.

Soft and tender too...

Just as he was marveling at his "findings," he looked up and met Ning Chu’s seductive, slightly sleepy peach blossom eyes.

Even though he had already explored every inch of her body before, Wen Yang still felt a bit guilty.

"There... was a mosquito on you," he quickly explained.

Since she’s just freshly woken from her sleep, Ning Chu’s mind was a little foggy.

Her eyes glistened faintly with sleepiness. She lazily rolled onto her side, her tail wrapping around her chest like a plush toy.

"Mm... What time is it?" she mumbled.

"Six o'clock."

"I’m gonna sleep a bit more. Wake me at seven."

"Okay, I'll go get us breakfast."

Wen Yang watched as her long curled lashes fluttered and then slowly settled into stillness.

She had drifted back to sleep.

For some reason, whenever he was alone with Ning Chu, his brain would start conjuring all kinds of steamy scenarios.

Add to that the typical "morning reaction" for men and a mind cluttered with suggestive thoughts, he found himself so worked up that he couldn't even use the bathroom properly.

Maybe it was because of Ning Chu’s succubus scent?

It was said that a succubus' natural fragrance could arouse desire in men.

Ning Chu, who rarely aired out the room, had filled the whole place with her "aphrodisiac mist."

That probably explained why, when Ning Chu’s mother visited their rental apartment, her first reaction was to fling open the windows and ventilate the room.

After washing his face and finally getting his "personal situation" under control, Wen Yang left the apartment.

Since it was still early, he decided to stroll around the village and see if he could find a breakfast spot Ning Chu hadn't tried yet.

"The snack shop isn't open yet," he muttered.

"Hmmm… Ning Chu told me that she’s getting tired of eating the stewed noodles, I need to find her something new."

Ning Chu had a habit: if she found something she liked, she would eat it non-stop for days until she got sick of it.

Wen Yang wandered down the small village roads, scanning the storefronts on either side.

The village housed a lot of students from nearby colleges, so a number of shops had sprung up here.

Since it was a remote area, rent was cheap. Aside from catering to tenants, many shops also offered delivery services to several nearby universities.

Finally, he found a porridge shop that was already bustling with activity.

The shop had only a couple of tables and chairs set up, clearly placed there just for show, it was obvious their main business was takeout.

"Boss, one century egg and pork congee, one youtiao, and two meat buns, all to-go," Wen Yang ordered.

"Got it! Take a seat for a moment," the shopkeeper replied.

The shop was a bit stuffy inside, so Wen Yang dragged a chair outside and sat by the door.

Leaning against the wall, he looked across the small road at an old man sitting opposite him and realized, amusingly, they were sitting in exactly the same posture.

Mornings in the village always felt peaceful and leisurely.

He smiled warmly at the old man, then took a deep breath of the chilly morning air, feeling more refreshed.

He glanced down at his phone to make sure Ning Chu hadn’t woken up and messaged him, then looked up again, only to see a familiar figure appear at the end of the lane.

Hmm, she looked kind of familiar.

Wen Yang studied the girl and saw her quickly notice his gaze.

She immediately lowered her head, pulled her hoodie up, and quickened her pace nervously.

Seeing this reaction, Wen Yang suddenly remembered who she was.

She’s the shy, introverted vampire girl he had seen at school before.

He hadn’t expected her to live here too.

He didn’t pay her much attention.

Honestly, thinking about how to continue "raising" Ning Chu was far more interesting than looking at a girl all wrapped up in layers.

He had a goal, he needed to at least help her turn into a C-cup!

With Ning Chu height being 1.6 meters, having a C-cup wouldn’t seem too big to the point of ruining her delicate look, nor too small to lose charm.

Furthermore, by then, his large hands would be able to perfectly grasp them... with maybe just a tiny bit of her plump flesh spilling over, but that wasn’t a bad thing either.

Just as he was lost in these pleasant thoughts, a sudden thud snapped him back.

Wen Yang looked up blankly and saw that the vampire girl had collapsed face-first onto the ground, barely a few centimeters from the tips of his shoes.

"..."

His first reaction was: Is this girl trying to attract my attention with such a clumsy trick?

"Hey, are you okay?"

The girl lay motionless on the ground.

"Hey?" Wen Yang started to panic a little.

He couldn’t care less about Ning Chu getting jealous at the moment—he quickly stood up and rushed to the unconscious girl, hesitant to touch her carelessly.

He pulled out his phone and dialed the emergency number.

"What happened to her?"

The shopkeeper, carrying Wen Yang’s packed breakfast, came outside and handed it to him.

"I don't know, she just suddenly collapsed," Wen Yang explained as he took the food.

"I called the hospital. An ambulance should be on the way. Maybe you could—"

Before he could finish, the shopkeeper quickly shook his head.

"I gotta get back to work."

The street was almost deserted.

Neither Wen Yang nor the shopkeeper had any proper first-aid training, so they could only watch the girl lying there, not daring to act rashly.

"Should we, uh, move her into the shop first?"

"Yeah... okay."

. . . . . .

Meanwhile, back at the apartment, Ning Chu opened her eyes and glanced at her phone only to realize it was already 7:30.

Her mind instantly cleared, and she shot up from bed in a panic.

"Wen Yang! Why didn’t you wake me up?! It’s already 7:30!"

She scrambled toward the bathroom, grabbing her toothbrush to start washing up, but halfway through, she suddenly realized:

The apartment was empty.

There are no traces of Wen Yang.

"Wen Yang?"

She poked her head out from the bathroom and scanned the room.

"Where did he go?"

She vaguely remembered that Wen Yang had mentioned going to buy breakfast, right?

It’s almost class time, yet he still hasn’t come back?

She wasn't really worried about Wen Yang getting into trouble, after all, he was the protagonist, practically protected by plot armor.

Only one explanation came to mind:

He must have gotten tangled up with some girl!
