Spider-Man and Sandman leaped off the train.
The situation was dire; the surrounding zombies would overwhelm them within two minutes.
There was no time for them to deliberate as the Hulk bore down on them.
"I'll hold off the Hulk!"
Wasp, flying in mid-air, wore a determined expression.
Like Scott, she could temporarily grow to a massive size.
However, her speed and agility would be significantly reduced.
Stopping the Hulk for a short period was feasible, but if the train wasn't repaired before her enlarged state wore off, it would be her demise.
The Hulk would tear her apart piece by piece.
"No..." Spider-Man blurted out instinctively, yet he himself didn't know what to do.
"There's no other way!" Wasp stated decisively.
"With the Hulk's strength, none of us four can stop him except me!"
"The zombies will surround us soon; seize this chance and escape!"
The deaths of her father and lover had also instilled a death wish in Wasp.
If she didn't go all out now, everyone would perish on the path to finding hope.
"Hey!"
Seeing the leaping Hulk, Wasp resolutely pressed the enlarge button, her entire body expanding.
With a thud, the enlarged Wasp punched the Hulk who was flying mid-air.
The powerful blow sent the Hulk flying away.
This was far more potent than Tony's Hulkbuster armor!
Watching this, Spider-Man could only shake his head with a bitter smile.
Escape? How could they escape?
Without the train repaired, how far could they run on foot?
The issue of whether to leave anyone behind was no longer relevant; Spider-Man and Sandman quickly joined the fray.
With previous combat experience, Sandman was tasked with dealing with the surrounding zombies and harassing the Hulk.
Spider-Man and Wasp focused on attacking the Hulk while also monitoring the train's condition.
But as the saying goes,
Even the strongest fist cannot defeat a swarm.
Even superheroes, facing a tide of zombies, couldn't keep them all at bay.
The combat tempo quickly devolved into chaos.
Countless zombies swarmed Wasp's ankles, biting them.
Each step Wasp took crushed a horde of zombies.
"Roar!"
After a brief moment of disorientation, the Hulk, fully revived, ferociously charged at Wasp again.
Gathering immense power in his fist, the Hulk leaped and struck Wasp's knee.
"Damn it!"
Unbearable pain shot through Wasp, and her face contorted in agony.
Her colossal body buckled to a single knee.
The Hulk's punch was capable of piercing steel plates.
Wasp clearly heard the sound of bone cracking.
After repelling the Hulk once more, Wasp could no longer stand.
Meanwhile, the Hulk, like an unfazed monster, pounded his chest and resumed his charge.
Her knee down felt numb.
Wasp tried to stand, but intense pain surged through her, forcing her back to her knees.
"Roar!"
Another roar.
A green monster's fist, flesh torn and bleeding, loomed larger in Wasp's vision.
Too late to block, the Hulk's punch shattered Wasp's faceplate.
Shards of the mask sliced across Wasp's cheek. With a cry of pain, she pressed the button again.
Her form rapidly shrank, and Wasp returned to her normal size.
The Hulk, losing his target, fell to the ground, scratching his head, seemingly confused as to why his enemy had suddenly vanished.
But a moment later, he became excited!
That enemy had become even smaller than himself!
Seeing the surrounding zombies about to swarm and bite the now-tiny Wasp, the Hulk roared in fury.
This was his prey, and he alone should enjoy it!
With roars and by tossing aside zombies, the Hulk excitedly ran towards Wasp.
Wasp had lost all strength to resist, lying on the ground, gasping for air.
The Hulk let out another thunderous roar, raising his massive foot to stomp down on Wasp's head.
The Hulk didn't like eating heads! He wanted to end her life first.
For a moment, Wasp's life hung in the balance.
Spider-Man, like an ant on a hot pan, desperately wanted to intervene but was surrounded by a dense mass of zombies, struggling to protect himself.
Sandman gritted his teeth and conjured a wall of sand before Wasp, but it lasted less than a second before the Hulk stomped it into dust.
The Hulk snorted and brought his foot down again.
Sandman couldn't quickly re-condense the dispersed sand and could only watch as the Hulk's foot descended.
The pitiable Wasp's last sight was of the Hulk's eyes, reddened with bloodlust and the thrill of slaughter.
There was no saving her.
Giving up her struggle, Wasp closed her eyes, awaiting the arrival of death.
Perhaps this was for the best; the world was in chaos, and she could join her father below.
"Giving up already?"
Buzz!
A violent whirlwind whipped above Wasp.
Simultaneously, a mocking voice echoed.
A powerful impact sounded next to Wasp's ears, accompanied by the Hulk's pained howl.
Wasp blinked, opening her eyes in confusion.
Then she witnessed an unbelievable and soul-stirring sight.
The Hulk was sent flying by a single kick from a shadowy humanoid figure.
Following that, the shadowy figure rapidly flew into the air and began to spin.
Beams of light danced from its hands.
"Is that... the Aurora?"
"No, it's laser!"
In the sky, the black figure spun, his hands continuously firing lasers towards the ground.
With each laser beam that passed, a large group of zombies was sliced in half.
"A god??" Before Wasp could express her astonishment, a wave of weakness and dizziness washed over her.
This was a residual effect of her enlargement, leaving her too weak to even stand.
The laser rain continued to pour down.
Within mere seconds, a vacuum had been carved out around the train!
No living being remained within the area, except for Spider-Man and the others.
A roar sounded, and the Hulk reappeared in their sight.
However, it was clear that a section of the Hulk's chest was caved in, and green blood spurted from his wounds, making him look utterly pathetic.
Clearly, he had been kicked by the shadowy figure.
Facing the Hulk's assault, the shadowy figure remained unhurried, delivering another kick.
Though it appeared to be a simple kick, upon contact with the Hulk, a dull, metallic clang echoed.
This time, the shadowy figure embedded the Hulk into the ground.
The immensely powerful kick shook the very earth.
Wasp and Spider-Man's hearts skipped a beat.
Where did this celestial being come from? So powerful?
Embedded in the ground, the Hulk remained motionless for a long time.
Spider-Man rushed forward to check, only to discover that the Hulk had lost all signs of life.
Hiss...
Killed the Hulk with a single kick?
Holy crap...
Spider-Man stared at the shadowy figure before him, speechless in his shock.
The shadowy figure reached out a hand, and Spider-Man instinctively took a step back, on guard.
But the figure didn't attack. Instead, it lowered its hood.
A cheerful, sun-kissed face appeared before them.
Lin Feng lowered his hood, looking at the pale-faced Spider-Man, and greeted him with a smile.
"Hi there, Peter."
