Chapter 29 Barry's Predicament, Pre-battle Talks

Afu returned with food.

Everyone gathered around and enjoyed the meal.

Previously, due to the severe situation and Bruce's uncertain fate, no one had eaten much.

Now that new hope had appeared, everyone felt a pang of hunger and didn't hesitate to start eating.

Lin Feng also took out two bottles of wine brewed from Life Tree leaves and shared them with everyone.

This substance could quickly restore energy and stamina, and was a rare good. Each bottle cost ten thousand reputation points.

The group was no longer surprised by Lin Feng producing marvelous items, as they had already seen the strange green liquid before.

While they were having a great time at the hospital, on the other side of the Earth, The Flash, Barry Allen, was running at super-speed.

Barry looked exhausted but dared not slacken his pace.

In a short span of time, Superman had found him three times.

But perhaps luck was on his side, as he had escaped unharmed all three times.

He was almost in tears. Being naturally timid, where would he find the courage to face the terrifying Big Supes alone?

Barry ran with the box, praying for reinforcements from Batman to arrive soon.

He didn't know how much longer he could hold on, his eyelids having been heavy for a long time.

Barry was undoubtedly lucky. After escaping Superman's pursuit, he found several thick lead plates in a basement.

He covered himself entirely with lead sheets, breathing heavily, and gained precious time to rest.

He knew that Big Supes' X-ray vision could not penetrate lead.

After catching his breath, he took out the tracker Batman had given him and pressed the button.

The green communication light came on.

He quickly tapped out the Morse code for distress, and after a few taps, turned off the communicator.

Poor Barry Allen dared not even speak.

Who knew if Superman would use his super hearing to find him?

He didn't even dare to tap the code more than a few times.

Now, all he could do was pray for the reinforcements to arrive quickly.

Perhaps he heard Barry's prayer.

Batman's side successfully received the distress signal.

At this moment, after eating and drinking their fill, the group sat around a round table.

They were discussing their next course of action.

After consolidating the information, Bruce laid out the specific action plan.

"First, we need to get the last Mother Box. With Lin Feng's joining, I believe we can defend it," Bruce said with a grave expression. "At the same time, we must use Kryptonite weapons to control Clark."

"Try not to kill Clark. I plan to forge a pair of handcuffs to temporarily restrain him."

"Without Clark's combat power and the Mother Box, I don't think Steppenwolf will sit still."

"If he wants the Mother Box, he'll have to come to us!"

"We'll set a trap and wait for Steppenwolf to walk right into it!"

"What do you think? Any problems?" Bruce asked, looking around at everyone.

The group nodded in agreement. This was the plan they had finalized after much deliberation, and they could adjust it as needed if any issues arose.

Finally, Bruce looked at Lin Feng, who was the sole outsider in this event and the strongest fighter among them.

Regardless of how much of Superman's power he possessed, the burden of confronting Superman still fell on him.

"I have no problem!" Seeing Bruce's gaze, Lin Feng understood what he meant and simply nodded without further words.

Seeing this, Bruce pondered for a moment. "If that's the case, then Victor, you and I will go to manufacture the Kryptonite weapons."

"Once the Kryptonite weapons are ready, we'll head to Barry's location."

"Lin Feng, Diana, and Arthur, you three should rest for now and conserve your energy. Manufacturing the Kryptonite weapons will take about an hour."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Bruce took Victor to the basement.

The large room felt somewhat empty with only the three of them remaining.

They didn't know what to say and remained silent.

After a long while, Diana felt it would be better to lighten the mood, especially since they would be fighting side-by-side soon, so she took the initiative.

She looked at Lin Feng and said, "Lin Feng!"

Lin Feng also looked at Diana. "What is it?"

"Are you truly a Kryptonian? I mean, we've never seen you before."

Lin Feng smiled slightly. "Strictly speaking, I do have Kryptonian blood."

"Don't worry about my combat power. I possess all the abilities Superman has."

"Oh, that's not what I meant. I thought Clark was the only Kryptonian left," Diana explained.

"If Clark wakes up and knows he has a fellow countryman, he should be very happy!"

Lin Feng tilted his head. "If I'm not mistaken, Clark should indeed be the only Kryptonian left in this universe."

"However, in another world, he has a cousin named Kara Zor-El."

"In that world, people call her Supergirl."

"Supergirl?" Aquaman leaned in with a curious expression. "Is she pretty?"

Lin Feng did a tactical backward lean. "Why do you care if she's pretty or not? Don't you already have Mera?"

Good heavens, you're truly Aquaman, not *that* Aquaman.

"Arthur..." Diana also looked at Aquaman with a black line on her forehead, making Aquaman a bit embarrassed.

"I was just curious and asking. Is her power strong?"

"Very strong! Though probably not as powerful as Clark's," Lin Feng added with a nod.

"And she's also very beautiful!"

"As for me,"

"I come from an even more distant universe, not even a parallel universe to yours."

Lin Feng continued, "In my world, I should also be the only one with Kryptonian blood."

"Then you must be very lonely!" Diana looked at Lin Feng with sympathy, which made Lin Feng's scalp tingle.

"It's not exactly loneliness. I have friends..." Lin Feng scratched his head awkwardly.

"So how did you come to our universe?" Aquaman Arthur asked, leaning in curiously.

"Gosh... if you want to talk about that," Lin Feng took a sharp intake of breath. "It's very complicated to explain."

"I can't explain it clearly either, because my appearance here is very strange."

"There are too many things involved." Lin Feng shook his head, unwilling to elaborate further. He couldn't reveal that he had a system, as strictly speaking, Lin Feng was a viewer from outside the fourth wall, and he didn't exist in the plot.

After thinking for a moment, Lin Feng used an analogy. "If I had to put it simply, it's like your Blue Star beneath your feet felt a danger and cried out for help to me."

"So, I came!"

"Alright..." Diana and Arthur nodded. Everyone has their own secrets, and forcing an inquiry would be unwelcome and impolite.

Seeing that they no longer questioned him, Lin Feng breathed a sigh of relief.

He wondered if Kara existed in this universe.

Lin Feng was somewhat curious to meet Kara, Supergirl. He was quite interested in her.

Interested in many ways. Sigh...

However, Lin Feng remembered only seeing Supergirl in TV series and that there was no mention of her in the movies. He didn't know if there would be an opportunity in the future.

As the three of them chatted aimlessly, Bruce pushed the door open.

"Partners, it's time to work!" Bruce said to them. "The aircraft is ready. Barry can't wait long, so let's depart immediately!"
