Chapter 409: Chapter 409: Crawling Through the Dog Hole (Part 1)

"I’ve had a chat with the system at the civil affairs bureau, and we probably won’t be able to process the divorce paperwork anytime soon. Now, it’s just the North Family left," Baby Hawthorne’s handsome brows furrowed.

"The North Witch is protecting my fake brother tightly. To prove Raina’s innocence, we need to tackle it fundamentally," Casper North said. "Why not just send in your army of robots, snatch my fake brother. How’s that sound?"

Baby Hawthorne shook his head, "No good. Great Grandpa’s health is weak, can’t withstand such a scare. Mommy cares about Great Grandpa the most; she’d be furious if she found out."

"Then you go," Casper North said casually. "You can’t catch a tiger cub without entering the tiger’s den. The North Witch is your mom, visit her and build some mother-son affection; she’ll be thrilled. Then you can act accordingly."

"She’s not my mommy, and there’s no mother-son affection to build." He has only Raina as his mommy and would never recognize a betrayer as his mother.

Acting with that woman would be worse than death.

Baby Hawthorne squinted his eyes, seriously suspecting he suggested this deliberately.

"It’s just hypothetical, hypothetical, life is like a play; it’s all about acting skills, got it?" Casper North snorted coldly inside, having him play the obedient child in front of Raina day in and day out, just to set him straight.

Baby Hawthorne guessed his intentions but had to admit it’s the best plan for now.

"Fine." Before Casper North could rejoice, Baby Hawthorne added, "You’ll come with me."

Casper North’s face changed dramatically, jumping up from the sofa in agitation, "Not me, that’s a wolf’s den; I’m so weak, pitiful, and helpless, how could you be so cruel!"

Baby Hawthorne snickered, siblings are naturally born to vie for mother’s love, nothing cruel about it.

"But how do we get out? Ever since we sneaked out last time, Dad’s tightened the security system."

Casper North grinned proudly, "Don’t worry, I have a secret weapon."

In the end, the three split into two groups, Shea stayed at the base for cover, while Baby Hawthorne and Casper North sneaked into the backyard during everyone’s nap.

The secret weapon, a silly husky, poked its dusty dog head out from a pile of dried grass.

Mysteriously, like an agent rendezvous, a man and a dog exchanged a few words.

The silly husky barked once, signaling the two to follow it.

Shortly they arrived at a corner of the wall, a dog hole appeared before them.

Baby Hawthorne’s handsome eyebrows furrowed tightly, every cell in his body resisting, "I’ve never gone through a dog hole."

He’s the Little Hawthorne Prince, raised under high society norms, every action measured.

Crawling through a dog hole is absolutely forbidden, and the soil has many bacteria, which offends his cleanliness.

"Simple, just lower your head, bend over, crawl on the ground, everyone’s got a first time." Saying this, Casper North had the silly husky demonstrate, "Quit dawdling, time’s running out."

The Little Hawthorne Prince clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and for mommy’s sake, took the plunge.

The two men and one dog, like a wild training session, crawled through the grass all the way until they were exhausted, finally reaching the main road.

It was two hours later when they arrived at the North Family villa.

Claire North was in an exceptionally good mood today, continually watching people online scold Raina, occasionally joining the cyber fight herself, dispelling much accumulated anger over many days.

But after a while, major websites suddenly crashed, and after an hour of waiting, when they recovered, the tide of online scolding about Raina had shifted drastically.

Suddenly there was a group online speaking for Raina, and on top of that, all major influencers received lawyer notices, even her small accounts couldn’t escape it.

Claire North was sulking when the servant informed her Baby Hawthorne had arrived.

"Baby, why have you come? Did you miss mommy? Mommy missed you so much."

Claire North said, about to throw herself over affectionately, posing as a mother missing her child.

But the fleeting disdain on her face couldn’t fool anyone.

Baby Hawthorne flashed away, avoiding her touch.

"Didn’t you claim to be my mommy? Is there a problem with me visiting my mommy’s house?"

"Of course not, but who brought you over? Your daddy?" Claire North peered outside, searching for a long-anticipated figure.

"Stop looking. I came by myself." Baby Hawthorne said, and sat down on the sofa.

Confirming Elias Hawthorne hadn’t come, Claire North felt somewhat disappointed, yet she bucked up and continued playing the role of a caring mother.
