Chapter 448: Chapter 448: Then You Go Get Married (2)
Raina suddenly laughed, "Yeah, I don’t want to. If you’re willing, then you go ahead and marry."
Raina’s words instantly sparked public rage.
Claire North’s eyes turned red immediately, "Raina, how can you say that? I really tried to advise you with good intentions."
Rachel Shelby sneered, "Claire, just let it go. How could a woman who despises the poor and loves the rich possibly understand your good intentions?"
Claire North shook her head, her face full of sorrow, "I’ve never hoped for her understanding. After all, we’re sisters of the same family. We’ve got that kind of bond. I only hope she can have a good life."
"Claire, you are just too kind," Rachel Shelby couldn’t help but sigh.
Nathan Lawrence looked at Claire North with tears in his eyes, pleading, "A hundred days of marriage creates lasting bonds, Raina, don’t be so heartless."
Bobby Lawrence cried out, "Mommy, I want a complete family."
Claire North sighed, "Raina, look at how pitiful and adorable this child is. Can you really bear it? Don’t you know how much harm an incomplete family can do to a child?"
Raina couldn’t help but laugh, "Claire North, when such words come out of your mouth, why are they so chilling?"
Claire North suddenly felt aggrieved and was about to complain when a sharp and shrill female voice rang out from the crowd, "Nathan! I’ve finally found you. It’s been so hard looking for you!"
A frail, shabby woman suddenly squeezed out from the crowd and rushed toward Nathan.
Nathan was caught off guard, getting hugged abruptly. He instinctively wanted to struggle, but the woman held him very tightly, pounding his chest and crying bitterly, "You heartless man, how can you cruelly abandon me and your parents without caring at all! Do you know that a year ago both your parents fell ill and died? As they were dying, they kept calling your name, hoping you’d come back! But you never returned, they couldn’t even close their eyes at the time of death!"
Nathan was completely bewildered, "Big sister, who are you exactly?"
Upon hearing this, the woman became even more agitated, "I’m Sharon Warren, your wife! Now that you’ve made it big, you won’t even acknowledge me?"
"What wife? I don’t have a wife at all, stop clinging on here," Nathan looked at his clean, expensive suit, now full of wrinkles and dirt.
Nathan was heartbroken, unable to bear it any longer, he yanked the woman off and tossed her aside, furrowing his brows, and spat out angrily, "You’ve made my perfectly good clothes filthy and stinking, damn you, vile woman!"
"How... how can you curse me like this..."
"Bobby..." Sharon Warren saw Bobby Lawrence, and her emotions suddenly surged. She rushed forward and hugged him tightly, crying out mournfully, "My child, finally I’ve seen you! Your heartless father didn’t just abandon me because I’m ugly, but took you away from me too! This is asking for my life! Asking for my life!"
Bobby Lawrence, after all, was just a child, and was so frightened that he immediately started crying, struggling desperately, "No, you’re not my mommy!" He called out to Nathan for help, "Daddy, please save me!"
Nathan came to his senses and rushed over, pulling Bobby Lawrence out of Sharon Warren’s embrace.
Bobby Lawrence clung tightly to Nathan, looking at Sharon Warren who still wanted to come forward to hold him, and screamed, "Go away! Stinky woman! Stay away from me!"
Sharon Warren was deeply hurt, tears filling her eyes, "Bobby, Bobby, I’m your mother! How can you not recognize me? From the day you and your father went missing two years ago, I’ve been constantly searching for you both. Over seven hundred days and nights, I haven’t dared to sleep peacefully, afraid that you won’t eat well or sleep well out there. How... how can you not recognize me!"
