Chapter 198: Chapter 198: Henpecked Husband (Part 2)

Elias Hawthorne’s handsome face darkened slightly, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Quinn Thorne smacked his lips: "So, how do you plan to deal with this next? We can’t just leave it like this, can we."

"Raina has her own plan. We’ll do whatever she arranges."

"Boss." Quinn suddenly walked over, his upper body leaning across the desk, his handsome face closing in on Elias, staring directly at him: "I never thought you’d be like this, boss. Allowing a woman to step all over you and do whatever she wants—you’re acting so whipped, it’s actually terrifying."

Elias took his coat, draping it over his arm: "This kind of joy is something a single dog like you will never experience."

"Hmph, don’t think I don’t know you’re attacking me personally!" Quinn let out a heavy snort, but the eyes hidden under his lashes were full of hurt.

If it were that woman, he’d also be willing to be managed.

But she left, it’s been five years, and she hasn’t shown up once.

...

"I understand."

Raina North tossed the phone aside, her brows furrowed tightly.

Casper North sat nearby, shaking his leg: "Mommy, if you don’t want to go back, then don’t go back. What’s he going to do, bite you? Otherwise, just make up an excuse, say your precious son, me, is sick, and you can’t return."

Raina glared at Casper: "Don’t talk nonsense."

Casper shrank his neck: "I’m just saying casually; I’m so robust, how could I be sick? Actually, going back is no big deal; isn’t it just a fight? Raina, you’ve dealt with plenty of women abroad, are you afraid of the little North family?"

"Makes sense." Raina stood up: "I’m off, you and Baby stay at home and don’t wander around, understand?"

"Don’t worry." Casper eagerly handed her the handbag.

As Raina walked out, Baby Hawthorne frowned: "Are you really okay with letting Mommy go to the North family?"

"It’s not about whether I’m okay or not; it’s that Mommy wants to go. Didn’t you hear that old man using our great-grandfather’s illness to trick Mommy into going? Mommy is different from an unfilial son like you."

Baby huffed, unconvinced: "When have I been unfilial? I just don’t respect that woman." His eyes spun: "Or how about this, call my daddy. Mommy is his wife, and as her husband, it’s his responsibility to protect her. If he’s not up for it, he should step aside, and I’ll find Mommy a good man."

Casper gave Baby a thumbs up: "You’ve got it, white on the outside, black on the inside."

Baby raised his chin: "Exactly."

"I’ve already sent what you said to our cheap daddy. I think he’ll definitely give it his best effort."

Baby felt a bit guilty, but he didn’t show it. He couldn’t back down now.

No matter what, he couldn’t back down.

Besides, his mommy always deserved the best.

...

As soon as Raina stepped into the North family living room, Claire North came stumbling over.

"Sister, I know I was wrong. Help me! Please help me, or my life is over!"

Raina looked down, observing her tear-streaked face, and asked calmly: "Do you really know you were wrong?"

"Yes." Claire nodded vigorously: "If you don’t believe me, I’ll kneel for you."

With that, she began to kneel.

Raina did not stop her; she only looked at her with a mocking smile.
