Chapter 51: Vrognut Is Coming!

Chapter 51: Vrognut Is Coming!

Byung reunited with Maui, the human was about to go so they had to finalize things.

But Byung knew he couldn’t leave this place the way it currently was.

Murkfang was missing and Gribnox wasn’t trusted enough to lead the goblins.

If he left, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say he wouldn’t be returning to anything because this mine would crumble.

Byung had to stay to figure out what the hell was going on.

Maui, however, was given permission to return amid the rising tension between the two races.

Byung was with Maui as she spoke to Naruz and Naz.

The way she spoke made it clear she didn’t trust them enough to divulge any information that might implicate Byung.

If they all had a collective mission, it would explain it.

But Byung knew he had to find a way to win these two over.

He knew for certain they shared similar genetics because he was conceived by an orc.

Byung needed to keep an eye on Gribnox because there was no telling how strong he was mentally.

He looked like an unserious goofball.

But there was something about him that made Byung believe this wasn’t the case.

For him to attain this position, there had to be something that made him stand out.

He had the judgment to recall Byung to aid in leading the goblins.

This meant that pride wasn’t something he was afflicted with.

He could see past it and admit when he needed help, which already put him above most goblins.

He wasn’t blinded by power.

And he knew that Byung had gained the respect of the goblins.

Byung told Maui to keep an eye out for Murkfang.

He feared the orcs had found a way to take him.

Or at least, he was in their territory and Maui was the only one who could go there without raising suspicion.

However, Byung gave a clear order.

She shouldn’t allow anyone else to touch him sexually.

The idea of sticking his cock into a hole just anyone could use would kill whatever attraction he had for her.

Maui was off and Byung noticed Naz wasn’t feeling right.

This was an opportunity for him to establish a personal relationship with her.

It could prove advantageous in the long run—or at least, as long as she was alive.

The end goal of this relationship was to reproduce.

It was a delayed death sentence.

"You not well?" Byung asked Naz but her distant facial expression confirmed this.

He looked over at Naruz for an answer to know what was wrong with her.

"She is pregnant," Naruz broke the news to Byung and he instantly understood the gravity of the situation.

"Oh..." Byung muttered under his breath.

And with a 100% fatality rate.

Byung thought they would have techniques or medicine to keep them from conceiving.

So why was Naz pregnant?

Byung sighed but he knew there had to be a reason the fatality rate was so high.

Was it that the women weren’t compatible?

No.

If that was the case birth would be impossible to begin with.

And with no survival, Byung could understand the fear.

But this couldn’t be some supernatural curse, it had to do with biology.

If he could find a way to make even one person survive...

It would change everything.

Races would be less resistant to breed with them.

And this would solve their reproduction problem.

Byung whipped up something for the fever.

Naz and Naruz watched him grind a few herbs he had managed to take from the farm.

This would help her with the nausea.

And Naz instantly felt better the moment she took it.

However, Byung had injured himself while grinding it.

A drop of his blood had slipped in even though he immediately withdrew his fingers the moment he noticed it.

This was intentional.

Byung knew the quantity of blood mattered but it was a single drop or two—nothing that should cause any noticeable side effects.

There was no way he would try to sire a pregnant orc.

It was unknown what it would do to the baby in her womb.

Byung wasn’t a monster.

And he wasn’t about to become one.

The medicine eased her symptoms and Naz felt a lot better almost right away.

"I sure everything be alright," Byung tried to reassure her but the two orcs didn’t utter a word because everything was far from alright.

Maui was on her way back to her village at the back of the carriage.

But the human had to make sure the horse was on the right path so he couldn’t play with her just yet.

--

Maui wondered what made Byung change his mind.

But it wasn’t in her place to question his decisions.

Maui noticed the route this man was taking had taken a detour.

It shouldn’t be taking that detour as they could easily go straight to the orcs’ territory.

Maui was exhausted, being away from Byung felt unfamiliar.

She liked how things played out. The fact he had spoken about the sword in his dream without any knowledge of it unsettled her.

However, this was the interesting part.

It was a piece of information she had managed to keep from him.

Maui’s loyalty had shifted but this was proof she was still capable of independent thought.

Maybe, just maybe, her loyalty to Byung wasn’t tied to his fluids?

It depended on mental fortitude.

And Maui was once a warrior, there was no way her mental fortitude would be lacking.

It was interesting because there still a lot of unknowns about this.

Byung was yet to discover just how much power he held.

As well as the limitations that came with it.

Maui noticed the human had stopped somewhere but it was in the middle of nowhere.

The human went into the carriage where Maui was and went straight to her breasts but Maui stopped him.

Her gigantic hand wrapped around his face.

It could grab the entire head with a single hand to show the vast difference in their genetic make up.

"What are you doing?" Maui questioned to which the human raised a confused brow.

"I want to fuck you," He responded bluntly with no hint of shame or class.

He was addressing her like some peasant.

And this didn’t sit right with her.

Even though she was the one who suggested sex as compensation for transportation—otherwise he wouldn’t have accepted to do so.

"Not here, I want to be the one who pleases you," Maui said in a hushed voice and this response pleased the human.

It meant she was the one who would do all the work.

All he had to do was sit down and receive the divine gift the gods had given him.

Maui looked at his throbbing cock and couldn’t believe she was about to say this.

But Byung was bigger than him.

The human returned to his horseback and the journey continued.

He was going to take her to his buddies.

Of course, he planned to have her for the first round and share her with his friends after he was done.

Until they reached the orcs’ village.

--

They arrived at the meeting point.

And Maui could tell something wasn’t right straight away.

The human who brought her here got off and went to meet up with the rest.

Maui watched from a distance and she could tell they were visibly excited and kept looking right at her.

He must have told them about their little agreement.

Which would explain why they were so excited to begin with.

Maui rolled her eyes.

The male species were the same in every part of this world.

But it was also confirmation the orcs had bodies no race could resist.

Maui allowed her eyes to drift because she didn’t want to hold eye contact with them.

If it came to it, she was confident in her combat abilities to overpower them.

But her eyes soon caught something.

It was green in color and no doubt the blood of a goblin.

It couldn’t belong to an orc because there was no way they would come out of a fight unscathed.

So it had to be a goblin.

Maui knew it wasn’t in her place to intervene and kept her mouth shut because she couldn’t risk the greater task.

This was her original train of thought—

Until she sniffed the air and noticed something familiar with the lingering scent.

"This is...!"

--

Far away, Drekk’s plea for help had been answered by Vrognut and he was on his way to the area.

There was a reason he had these many females to keep those under him satisfied.

He was also part of the reasons no one dared to allow the goblins outside the confinement by the orcs.

Because they were seemingly the only ones who could match their aggression.

Not all goblins were as peaceful as the ones in the Western Province.

The power imbalance was proof of that.

And the chaos that came with the existence of Vrognut was about to descend on the West.
