Chapter 36: Victory?

Chapter 36: Victory?

Byung was being beaten. He failed at making a statement, but he had made a bet he couldn’t lose.

If he asked Maui to step in, it would make him look like a coward, and this was the last thing he could afford.

She belonged to him, and he wasn’t going to hand her off to these dogs because then, who would give him the knowledge he lacked?

These goblins were too stupid to do anything else, they needed a guiding hand to put them to good use.

"S-Stop..." Byung muttered under his breath, but they didn’t. All they did was go harder.

They laughed and mocked him. Byung hated it, but could he do anything about it if he was too powerless to?

"I SAID STOP!" Byung screamed before standing up forcefully. Their weight suddenly didn’t matter as all four were sent flying but it was clear the goblins weren’t listening to him the first time or they would have caught this slip up but his voice being muffled helped in this case as well.

Maui was amazed. This wasn’t them being startled—Byung physically threw them back with his sheer strength.

One of the four goblins he had just repelled was already on his feet. He charged toward Byung, but Byung punched him right in the jaw, and the blow was enough to knock the goblin out clean.

"That... impossible! You weak!" the goblin that had bullied him shouted.

The fact that these goblins were stronger than your regular goblin made this feat all the more impressive.

"What the fuck?" Byung muttered under his breath in disbelief, but at that moment, it clicked.

This was the power of his skill—he had the physical strength of the average orc.

The other three now thought thrice before charging at Byung. He had shown them what he was capable of; he wasn’t some weakling.

Byung knew he had the upper hand, and if he could take out the instigator, the others would back down.

He tried to land a punch to the goblin’s temple, but he tripped over himself and was sent flying, crashing into a tree trunk.

Maui knew the situation was serious, but she couldn’t help the giggle that escaped her lips.

The bully set his eyes on Maui. She could see he was visibly erect, but his cock didn’t even come close in length to Byung’s.

It wouldn’t even make it past her butt cheeks. He lacked the tools to satisfy her, and Maui wasn’t looking forward to it.

However, Byung had shown his strength. These goblins were no match for him physically, and all he needed to defeat them was a solid blow.

Maui wanted to see the depth of his strength because, at this point, nothing could surprise her anymore.

The bully stomped Byung’s head into the ground, laughing mockingly, but Byung forced his head up despite the bully applying his full weight.

"Huh?" the bully muttered in utter confusion as Byung got up to his feet, forcing the bully on his buttocks.

Byung was now standing over him, looking right in his eyes. There was no hint of fear in Byung’s eyes, but the same couldn’t be said about the bully.

He was terrified because Byung shouldn’t be able to overpower him—not with that physique and his age.

He expected Byung to pummel him into the ground, but Byung simply smiled and offered him his hand.

The bully couldn’t help it—it was in their nature, and he shouldn’t be judged for this either.

Also, there was a chance this would come in handy. This violent nature didn’t need to be tamed.

It needed to be redirected. The bully was surprised by this act because any sane goblin would have beaten him half to death and made sure he wouldn’t be able to oppose them anymore.

"What doing you?" the bully questioned, staring at his hand in suspicion.

"I show you kindness," Byung said, and this word seemed to spook the bully because he slapped his hand away.

"You lie!" the bully was quick to shoot down his hand of friendship, not because he didn’t want it but because he didn’t trust it.

"You right... I lie..." Byung said, taking a brief pause as he leaned forward to whisper into his ear.

"I will stop lying to you..." Byung added. He wasn’t aware he was bleeding at that moment either.

This was no surprise, with how many times he had hit his head, and that drop of green trickled down his forehead and landed on the bully’s shoulder.

"Crap..." Byung thought to himself because he had seen firsthand what his fluids could do.

He backed away knowingly, but the bully showed none of these symptoms.

"Would you look at that?" Byung thought to himself, but he had taken a risk in showing the bully he could speak.

But who would believe him? He was the only one who heard him; none of the other goblins did.

The bully noticed the blood and quickly wiped it off, but it had already been absorbed into his skin.

"We go!" the bully warned the others as they retreated. Byung was impressed he managed to convince the others to go with this ridiculous plan despite being a newcomer.

He looked over at Maui and could see the satisfied look on her face.

This had the potential to get ugly, but Byung couldn’t help but note how this goblin appeared fine despite his blood dropping on him, which gave him some sense of relief.

"You did amazing!" Maui was quick to praise him, rushing to his side to help with his bleeding forehead.

Byung blushed because she didn’t stop praising him and his strength as she took care of the little cut on his forehead.

But he stared at his fists, realizing he wasn’t a normal goblin. He had a way of assimilating the skills of other races.

The system wasn’t playing about this being a hybrid one. He could multiply his money on one hand and could assimilate and upgrade the skills he gained on the other.

Byung didn’t know if he made a mistake with the bully or not, but he had to take risks if he wanted results.

And if push came to shove, he could easily say he learned it from the orc, who now belonged to him.
