Chapter 66: Chapter 59 Demon Transformation
The group walked out of the slaughterhouse and headed towards the office building.
They started with observing the regular leadership before finally entering the manager’s office.
Manager Tian Wenbao stood up and smiled, "Welcome, friends from the Martial Guard. Our Guoyun will definitely cooperate fully."
Zhou Leng glanced around indifferently, then slightly retreated behind everyone, fiddling with the Demonized Watch.
During the inspection, Zhou Leng turned around and glanced around, his elbow seemingly inadvertently brushing against Deng Zhijue.
Deng Zhijue took out the Demonized Watch and glanced at it.
Subsequently, Deng Zhijue asked Tian Wenbao a few simple questions, which Tian Wenbao answered with a smile.
Deng Zhijue said, "Please, Manager Tian, gather everyone in the workshop for a final large-scale inspection before we leave."
"Sure."
"Please." Deng Zhijue stepped aside.
Tian Wenbao smiled amiably, leading everyone to the workshop.
On the way, the Martial Guards checked their phones or Demonized Watches in succession.
The group passed through the corridor, walked down the stairs, exited the office building, and entered the vast outdoor factory area.
Deng Zhijue waved his hand, and the Martial Guards spread out, surrounding Tian Wenbao.
"Manager Tian, we need you to cooperate with us and come to the Martial Guard Bureau." Deng Zhijue displayed a rare smile.
Tian Wenbao was taken aback and asked puzzledly, "What’s going on? Weren’t we supposed to gather everyone?"
"What? Manager Tian refuses to cooperate?"
Deng Zhijue’s expression turned cold.
The other Martial Guards took a step forward.
Without solid evidence, the Martial Guards could not make a direct move, but if the other party didn’t cooperate, it would give them a reason to act.
Tian Wenbao, looking helpless, said, "No problem, no problem, I’ll fully cooperate. However, my brother is Tian Wenhua from Bad Company, I want to give him a call."
"Please hand over your Demonized Watch, and do it slowly. Any unusual movements, and we must act on the spot." Deng Zhijue slowly manipulated his Qi.
All the Martial Guards activated their True Qi, their clothes puffing up.
Zhou Leng raised the shield.
Tian Wenbao, while slowly removing the Demonized Watch, said bitterly, "Don’t worry, I’ll go with you. Rest assured, I won’t oppose you."
After saying this, Tian Wenbao slowly handed over the Demonized Watch, which a Martial Guard carefully accepted.
"Please, get in the car with us."
"No problem, no problem." Tian Wenbao looked distressed as he walked out of the company surrounded by many Martial Guards.
Tian Wenbao asked helplessly, "What’s going on? I admit I took some scraps from the company, but I didn’t do anything else. Can you tell me why?"
"Just a routine inspection, Manager Tian, don’t overthink it." Deng Zhijue said.
"I don’t think it seems like that." Tian Wenbao muttered under his breath along the way.
The team came to a stop in front of a car, and a Martial Guard took out Demonized Handcuffs and approached Tian Wenbao.
Tian Wenbao sighed, raising both hands as he said, "Is it because of the connection with my brother? I’m really not like him..."
Just as the Demonized Handcuffs were about to clasp on, Tian Wenbao’s clothes suddenly exploded, his body swelled, his skin turning a blood-red color, with veins and muscles bulging underneath.
Wisps of black Demonic Qi spurted from his head, and tendrils of Blood and Flesh Tree Roots shot from his chin, writhing wildly like blood and flesh tentacles.
He resembled an armored vehicle charging straight towards the weakest point in the encirclement, between Zhou Leng and a Body Refining Martial Guard.
"Get out of the way!" His eyes turned pitch-black as he punched towards Zhou Leng’s shield and the Body Refining Martial Guard beside him.
"Dodge!" Deng Zhijue shouted as he attacked Tian Wenbao.
Zhou Leng stepped with the Eight Trigrams Step, twisting aside to dodge, while Tian Wenbao didn’t waste time attacking, striking only at the obstructing Body Refining Martial Guard.
As he brushed past, Zhou Leng pushed the shield towards Tian Wenbao with both hands, performing the Two Dragons Emerging from the Water move.
Tian Wenbao first repelled the Martial Guard, then hurriedly swung a fist, smashing onto the shield.
Bang!
The Demonized Shield absorbed the force, showing fine cracks, and Zhou Leng was knocked back by the impact.
Zhou Leng staggered back a few steps, steadying himself, his arms numb from the jolt.
"Stay here!" Deng Zhijue threw a punch at Tian Wenbao’s back.
Tian Wenbao roared, the Blood and Flesh Tree Roots on his chin exploding into a blood mist that enveloped his entire body.
At the same time, he put a Pill into his mouth.
Whoosh...
Tian Wenbao suddenly accelerated at multiple times the speed, leaving everyone far behind.
"Vitality Stage and above, pursue him, others stay put and report the interception!"
Deng Zhijue and the Vitality Stage Martial Guards left, and the other Martial Guards remained in place.
"Let’s go back, we can’t interfere in a Vitality Stage level battle."
Late at night, the team returned to the Martial Arts Hall.
Tomorrow, there are still classes to attend, so Zhou Leng didn’t go back to the Frost Giant Tree; instead, he slept on a mat in the Martial Arts Dojo.
Moonlight shone down.
On the third floor, Tian Wenhua suddenly woke up, squinting his eyes, focusing his True Qi, and slowly walking towards the second floor.
Tian Wenhua sniffed the air.
The intense smell of blood and Demonic Qi.
The guest room door was ajar.
"Who’s in there?" Tian Wenhua approached slowly.
"Brother, it’s me..." came the voice of Tian Wenbao from inside.
Tian Wenhua held his breath, cautiously entering the guest room, where he saw Tian Wenbao lying on the bed covered in blood.
Blood had soaked the entire bed.
Tian Wenbao’s skin was red, veins bulging as if he’d been burned.
"What’s wrong?"
"Damn it, the Martial Guard Bureau came after me, so I had to escape." Tian Wenbao turned his head slightly, staring at Tian Wenhua.
Tian Wenhua’s expression was calm as he stopped by the bedside.
Tian Wenbao’s eyes suddenly flashed with a trace of fierceness, "Big brother, do you remember this morning, when Nie the Bearded said there was some tough guy practicing the Eight Trigrams Step and Overlapping Waves Palm, who took out one of your underlings?"
"Yes, I remember that." Tian Wenhua responded, glancing at the new message on his Demonized Watch.
"Among the Apprentice Martial Guards trying to capture me was a kid who also practiced the Eight Trigrams Step and Overlapping Waves Palm, both to Great Success, and there are not many in the city like that. I know him; Li Linhan spoke to my workshop supervisor to look out for him, he’s called Zhou Leng. He dared to block me, and he had a certain fierceness, his techniques and age match, he’s likely the one who took out your underling."
"I’ll have someone investigate Zhou Leng," Tian Wenhua said, "How are you doing now?"
"No big issues, just in the Demon Transformation Weakness Stage, you just need to have someone get me out of here."
"Alright, I’ll help you to the car first."
Tian Wenhua stepped forward, helping up Tian Wenbao, and slowly headed downstairs.
Tian Wenbao spoke as they walked, "Brother, I’m troubling you again. Ever since our dad and uncle passed away, you’ve always been the one handling things. This time I trained in the Demon Skill because after so many Pills, I still couldn’t advance to the Late Stage of Vitality, and I wanted to break through quickly, hoping to help you."
"Unfortunately, I was careless, let too much Demonic Qi leak, and attracted the Martial Guard."
"But don’t worry, brother, after I join the Demon Worship Sect, I’ll connect with their people and ensure your business prospers."
Tian Wenhua replied with gratification, "It’s good that you think that way."
Tian Wenbao spat out a mouthful of blood foam, "I won’t be able to see my nephew again, please don’t let him falter on his path."
"I’ll take care of Chengchang. After all, he’s the last child of our Tian family."
"Thank you, brother. Thinking back, it’s been tough over the years. Although childhood was hard, always fighting with others, it was happy."
"Do you remember when, for a bag of loaches, you stood up for me and beat those people until their heads were covered in blood?"
"Standing in the mud pond at the time, covered in mud, I swore that I would repay you when I grew up."
"I remember it all." Tian Wenhua’s eyes grew even more gentle.
