Ma La Ji Chi

Chapter 466 Too Powerful

The Grand Canyon rafting was located halfway up the mountain.

Initially, Gong Chengbin planned to take everyone up by cable car. Although it was a bit expensive, it was a drop in the bucket for Young Master Gong.

However, Catherine and Luo Wenwen both said that they weren't in a hurry and didn't want to take the cable car. They preferred to walk up and enjoy the scenery along the way.

Since both of them expressed this preference, Gong Chengbin had no choice but to readily agree.

And so, the four of them began to climb the mountain.

Although Longshan Grand Canyon was not as famous as other renowned mountains, climbing up, facing the morning sun, breathing the fresh air, and enjoying the natural scenery was a truly invigorating experience.

The four of them climbed and chatted, but halfway up, Gong Chengbin stopped talking altogether.

While everyone took a break to drink water, Du Fei walked over to Gong Chengbin and asked, looking at him panting, sweating, and with a slightly pale face, "Are you okay, man? You're already this exhausted halfway up. How do you plan to tackle the rest of the mountain?"

Gong Chengbin picked up a bottle of mineral water and gulped it down.

After finishing more than half the bottle, he looked at Du Fei. "Brother, can a man say he's not okay? I just didn't rest well yesterday. Let me sit for a bit, I'll be fine."

Gong Chengbin didn't usually work out and had been buried in company matters for the past half-year, often working overtime and pulling all-nighters, which had severely weakened his physique.

However, when Luo Wenwen glanced over, he immediately put on a brave face and smiled at her.

"Du Fei, are we good brothers?"

Suddenly, Gong Chengbin looked at Du Fei beside him with a serious expression.

Du Fei sized him up and said, "Don't try to pull a fast one on me, just say what you want!"

Gong Chengbin chuckled, as if he had been seen through by Du Fei.

"Well, Du Fei, since your medical skills are so amazing, do you have any pills that can instantly boost my energy or make me never tired? Can I have one?"

Gong Chengbin's words made Du Fei struggle to suppress the urge to punch him.

"Do you think I'm some charlatan? Or a con artist? I don't have, and I can't make, the kind of thing you're talking about."

Du Fei's words immediately caused Gong Chengbin's face to fall.

He let out a big sigh. "Alas, what can be done? Maybe you can help me walk later."

In fact, if he hadn't been afraid of being laughed at by Luo Wenwen and Catherine, Gong Chengbin would have asked Du Fei to carry him up the mountain.

"Alright, seeing how pathetic you are, I'll take pity on you and help you out."

Du Fei then motioned for Gong Chengbin to extend his hand.

Although he didn't know what Du Fei intended to do, Gong Chengbin, trusting him, complied.

As Gong Chengbin extended his hand, Du Fei grabbed his wrist and channeled the Wanxiang Jue true qi within him, slowly infusing it into Gong Chengbin's body.

"Huh."

As the Wanxiang Jue true qi entered his body, Gong Chengbin felt a warm current flowing from Du Fei's palm.

Immediately after, this warm current, after circulating through his body, banished all his fatigue.

"Damn, this is too amazing!"

As soon as Du Fei released his hand, Gong Chengbin couldn't help but exclaim.

In just two short minutes, after the warm current from Du Fei's palm circulated through his body, his exhausted body was once again full of vigor. It was truly incredible.

Because Gong Chengbin's exclamation was so loud, it attracted the attention of Luo Wenwen and Catherine, who were resting and drinking water nearby.

They walked over to ask what had happened. Before Du Fei could speak, Gong Chengbin blurted out everything that had just occurred.

In fact, with Du Fei's low-key nature, he had intended to tell Gong Chengbin not to mention it to others.

But as Gong Chengbin recounted the story, Luo Wenwen and Catherine looked at Du Fei with expressions of shock and disbelief.

After all, what Gong Chengbin was describing was too incredible.

Seeing that Gong Chengbin was about to portray him as an omnipotent immortal, Du Fei quickly stepped forward to stop him.

"Alright, alright, are you done? We still have half the mountain to climb."

However, after hearing Gong Chengbin's fantastical account, Luo Wenwen and Catherine were so intrigued that they forgot about climbing the mountain and kept pressing Du Fei, asking if it was true.

Du Fei first shot Gong Chengbin a stern look, then vaguely explained to the two women that it wasn't some mystical internal energy, but merely Qigong, which was widely spread in China.

Even so, their curiosity had been piqued. Thus, they both requested Du Fei to demonstrate it on them as well.

As the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat, and these were two women brimming with curiosity.

Seeing that he wouldn't be able to get away without agreeing, Du Fei reluctantly demonstrated it on each of them.

"Wow! It's real! My body feels warm, like soaking in a hot spring. I don't feel tired at all now, as if I just had a good night's sleep."

"Du Fei, you've once again broadened my horizons. I'm now very curious, besides giving birth, is there anything you can't do?"

After experiencing it, Luo Wenwen and Catherine both gave their evaluations.

Catherine, in particular, had her beautiful eyes fixed on Du Fei as she spoke.

After all this fuss, what was supposed to be a short break for a drink of water had ended up taking more than half an hour.

The four of them resumed their climb, and there were now more people on the mountain path.

Following the recent events, most of their conversation revolved around Du Fei.

Both Luo Wenwen and Catherine were curious about how Du Fei, at such a young age, possessed such incredible medical skills.

In response, Du Fei spun a well-intentioned lie, saying that a few years ago, when he was framed and imprisoned, he met an old man in jail who taught him all his medical knowledge.

However, everyone seemed unfazed by the mention of Du Fei's imprisonment.

Gong Chengbin, who knew Du Fei well, naturally believed that he must have been framed.

As for Luo Wenwen and Catherine, who grew up in Europe, while imprisonment wasn't a good thing, they didn't view people with such experiences through a prejudiced lens like people in China.

On the contrary, they marveled at Du Fei's "extraordinary encounter" in prison.
