"Where's Auntie?"
Early in the morning, Liu Shishi, thinking she hadn't been able to celebrate Wu Chunmei's birthday yesterday, decided to get up early and wish her a happy birthday.
To her surprise, when she went downstairs, Wu Chunmei wasn't home. Only Du Fei was in the kitchen making breakfast.
"My mom went to Aunt Li's again. She said she's going to the morning market today and wants to help out early."
Du Fei heard this, busied himself with his work, and turned his head to tell Liu Shishi.
"You go wash up first. Breakfast will be ready in about ten minutes."
Liu Shishi nodded upon hearing this.
Ten minutes later, Liu Shishi finished washing up and changed her clothes, then came to the dining room. Du Fei had also served the breakfast he made.
Scorched golden toasted sandwiches, freshly squeezed soy milk, and a fruit platter – it was both nutritious and healthy.
"Thank you."
Taking the cutlery from Du Fei, Liu Shishi smiled and thanked him.
"How was it? Did you have fun meeting your old classmates yesterday?"
Hearing Du Fei mention yesterday's events, Liu Shishi said, "Don't even mention it. I haven't drunk in a while, and yesterday I was forced to drink two cups. My head is still pounding."
After speaking, Liu Shishi rubbed her temples hard with her hands.
Yesterday, she had eaten and drunk with Qiao Yi and the others, and didn't head back until past eleven o'clock.

Because she had been out with her classmates, Liu Shishi hadn't been able to celebrate Wu Chunmei's birthday with her. Thus, she had asked Du Fei to make sure he delivered the gift she had prepared.
But Du Fei had forgotten, and Liu Shishi felt very angry.
Seeing Liu Shishi's indignant expression, Du Fei couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"You, you, you actually find this amusing?"

"Can anything be used as a joke? I don't think this is funny at all!"
Liu Shishi's expression remained stern.
Seeing that Liu Shishi was genuinely upset, Du Fei quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, Shishi. This was my fault. I sincerely apologize to you now."
Du Fei's sincere apology helped to soften Liu Shishi's expression slightly.
Then, Liu Shishi inquired about celebrating Wu Chunmei's birthday yesterday.
"My mom wasn't unhappy at all. With such a considerate and beautiful daughter-in-law, my mom was more than happy." Du Fei said with a smile.
Liu Shishi scoffed, "You can't just say anything. Our relationship hasn't reached that point yet. What daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law, don't use such titles carelessly!!"
Du Fei placed a hand over his chest, feigning heartbreak. "No way, Shishi? You've hurt me by saying that. We've always been dating with the intention of marriage. Are you planning to just play around and then end it???"
Liu Shishi was rendered speechless, unsure whether to laugh or cry at Du Fei's words.
She then gave Du Fei a sidelong glance and said, "Du Fei, I've noticed that you're becoming more and more glib. You're completely different from when I first met you!"
Du Fei simply smiled without saying anything in response to Liu Shishi's comment.
They continued to eat breakfast.
"Right, Du Fei, could you drive me to the company later? I had a few drinks with my old classmates yesterday, so I left my car at the hotel entrance. I've already informed the company driver to pick it up, but I'll need your help with a ride this morning."
Liu Shishi had finished most of her meal. She elegantly wiped her mouth with a napkin, then looked at Du Fei, who was sitting opposite her, and said.
"That's for the best. Drinking and driving is illegal, so that's definitely not an option. I'll take you to the company after I finish eating."
Du Fei sped up his eating.
After finishing, he and Liu Shishi went to the villa's garage.
"By the way, after I'm done with company matters today, I also have to meet up with my classmates again. They're likely staying in Rongcheng for three or four days, so I'll probably have to spend most of this time with them."
As Du Fei drove the car out of the garage, Liu Shishi said.
Originally, Qiao Yi and the others had asked her to be their tour guide and show them around Rongcheng.
However, Liu Shishi had some personal matters to attend to. She had told the three of them that they should sleep in that morning, and after waking up and washing up, it would be close to lunchtime.

"It's okay. It's rare for old classmates to get together. Feel free to spend more time with them. If there's anything you need my help with, just call me."
Du Fei was very supportive of Liu Shishi spending time with her old classmates.
Hearing Du Fei's words, Liu Shishi showed a happy smile.
Although she had a general idea of Du Fei's response before she even spoke, hearing him say it in person made Liu Shishi feel exceptionally happy.
Liu Shishi nodded in understanding.
Shortly after, Du Fei's car pulled up to the roadside near Sunshine International Building. Liu Shishi opened the car door, thanked Du Fei, and got out.
However, before she had taken a few steps, her phone rang.
"You guys are awake? Then go wash up and have breakfast first. I have something to attend to at the company, and then I'll rush over to meet you. Okay, okay, I'll get there as soon as possible."
Unexpectedly, Qiao Yi and the others were awake quite early. Liu Shishi managed to calm them down with some smooth talking, and then she hurried towards the company.
