Chapter 1386: Chapter 1383: Discovering Corn
In the forest on the other side, the orcs of the Red Mountain Tribe looked at the collapsed cave before them, feeling fortunate and relieved.
The Red Mountain Tribal Chief’s expression shifted several times before he looked at the Shaman beside him, "Shaman, it’s a good thing we listened to you and had the tribe move out, otherwise..."
The surrounding orcs also nodded heavily in agreement with the chief’s words. The stones of the Red Mountain Tribe were much heavier than those in other mountain forests.
If the collapse had happened with tribespeople inside the cave, not many would have survived.
The Red Mountain Shaman nodded calmly, "Alright, go and organize the tribespeople to clean up quickly."
Having said that, after taking one last deep look at the collapsed cave, he turned and walked towards his tent.
Only when he entered his tent did the Red Mountain Shaman’s face break into a wide smile.
At this moment, he was immensely thankful for his admiration of the traveling medicine woman. It was this admiration that led him to seek out Shaman Ji Nuan and follow her method, which resulted in moving the tribespeople out of the cave.
Harry and Ji Nuan had been out for three days, attempting to persuade the tribes near the mountains to relocate to relatively distant areas.
If these tribes did not move, they would have no chance of surviving the collapse of the mountains.
During the journey, whenever they encountered herbs, Harry patiently introduced them to Ji Nuan and explained their uses.
What delighted Ji Nuan the most was finding millet in the territory of a small tribe, though the millet here was about the same size as rice.
However, its color was just like that in China, and even the flavor of the cooked millet porridge was the same.
Delicious, sweet, and incredibly tasty.
The tribespeople of this small tribe had always shelled the millet and chewed it directly.
But after tasting the millet porridge cooked by Ji Nuan, they seemed to have opened the door to a new world and completely fell in love with this food.
Ji Nuan packed some millet seeds in a bamboo container, acquiring a new crop.
"Shaman Ji Nuan, why are you packing these seeds? If you want to eat them, our tribe can give you all of our seeds."
The small tribe’s chief was very grateful to Ji Nuan for teaching them how to eat the seeds and brought over a beast skin bag full of seeds collected by the tribe.
Ji Nuan smiled and declined, "I just need these. I want to take these seeds back to the tribe, plant them in the ground, and then I’ll have lots and lots of seeds to eat when they mature."
The small tribe’s chief seemed shocked by Ji Nuan’s idea, "There are many seeds in the wild; we can gather as many as we want."
Harry patted the shoulder of the honest small tribe’s chief, "You silly man, you can gather as much as you want now, but Shaman Ji Nuan has to go back to the tribe someday, right? What if there are none then?"
Only then did the small tribe’s chief realize, scratching his head in embarrassment and standing there with a sheepish grin.
The next day, Harry and Ji Nuan said their goodbyes to this small tribe and set off towards another small tribe.
Because these small tribes’ territories were small, they weren’t very far from each other.
They quickly notified most of them.
What remained were some very remote small tribes, some of which even Harry didn’t know the location of.
