Chapter 513 Memory Unfolds

"You naturally wouldn't know!"

Bi An suddenly expanded, becoming as large as Kong Tai. He took a step forward and patted Mo Luo's shoulder. "The inheritance left within your body was placed by that fellow in your bloodline. It's possible for every giant in your clan to awaken it."

He retracted his hand and circled Mo Luo, observing him with curiosity. "Logically, if all giants were like the one outside, your clan wouldn't be able to awaken the bloodline power of Elbaf."

"I don't know if it's your good fortune or misfortune."

Turning to Kong Tai's right, Bi An shook his head as he looked at Mo Luo.

"What do you mean?"

Kong Tai tilted his head to look at Bi An.

"The giant clan is the only race known in this world capable of breaking through world limitations through their own power."

"But!"

At this point, Bi An shook his head again. "But once the giant clan accepts the inherited power of that Elbaf fellow, no giant will be able to break this boundary anymore."

"I don't know if it's Elbaf's intention, or if it's the will of the world at play."

Hearing Bi An say this, Kong Tai recalled the inexplicable emotion he felt the first time he pierced through space.

He was no longer ignorant as he was before. Bi An was an encyclopedia who had lived from ancient times to the present. Except for the secrets of Bi An's dormant periods, he knew everything else that Bi An knew.

The world indeed had a will, but it was merely a will.

This world will possessed no emotion; it only emerged to mend things when threatened.

If it were the world's will interfering with the future of the giant clan, could it be understood as the world's will sensing a threat from the giants?

The energy of a world wasn't created out of thin air.

Beings like gods, in essence, were almost akin to planets.

The emergence of one god in a world was different from the emergence of countless gods.

Coupled with a god's lifespan, it would cause the planet to gradually deplete as the gods grew.

This might also be the reason why the world's will intervened!

No matter how powerful an ordinary human was, in the river of time of the world, they were merely a small splash of water. Upon death, they would return to the world itself, leaving not even a ripple in the long historical river of the world.

But gods were different. They were like reefs standing in the river of world history. If there were too many reefs, the river of time would naturally narrow, or even be dammed, leading to its eventual death.

Even with simple thoughts and no desires, the will of the world would naturally and instinctively react to things that weakened it or led to its demise.

This was not something that could be interfered with by human effort, for it was a manifestation of rules, a predetermined fate.

Mo Luo couldn't understand Bi An's words, but he could sense from Bi An's tone that accepting Elbaf's bloodline inheritance seemed not to be a good thing.

Seeing Mo Luo's confusion, Kong Tai waved his hand. "Alright, Mo Luo, you don't understand Bi An's words, and you don't need to."

"The will of the world and such things are too distant for you. Without Elbaf's bloodline power, you would never have been able to touch that layer of rules."

Kong Tai spoke the truth. With his discernment, he could see that if Mo Luo hadn't awakened Elbaf's bloodline power, his future would have, at most, reached the level of his uncle, Sauro.

When he first came to Elbaf, he had wondered what made Elbaf the most powerful nation in the world.

Now, it seemed to be this awakened power.

Although it was impossible for every giant to awaken it like in ancient times, as Bi An had said, it was likely that in the capital of Elbaf, beneath the Treasure Tree Adam, there were indeed awakened giants.

And likely more than one.

Only then could they instill fear in the World Government and covetousness in the Four Emperors.

And inspire humanity's envy, leading to the giant transformation experiments.

"Rules?"

The more Kong Tai spoke, the more confused Mo Luo became, making him feel like an idiot.

Ignoring Mo Luo's bewilderment, Kong Tai pressed his hand forward. The entire starry sky froze with his gesture, including Mo Luo's mind before him.

Then, Kong Tai waved his hand in front of him. The power of his will enveloped Mo Luo's consciousness, and he softly spoke.

"Unfold!"

Before Kong Tai's eyes, Mo Luo's figure began to twist, following Kong Tai's movements, and then transformed into layers of memory walls, standing between Kong Tai and Bi An.

At this moment, Mo Luo had not completely let down his guard against Kong Tai and Bi An, but he was no longer as wary as he was initially.

Therefore, Kong Tai could unfold his consciousness here to observe the inheritance left by Elbaf deep within his soul.

He paid no mind to Mo Luo's personal memories. If he were to forcefully view them, he could, but it would leave residual effects on Mo Luo. Whether out of friendship or other reasons, Kong Tai could not do such a thing.

Like flipping through pages of a constantly changing book, Kong Tai reached out and peeled away the layers of memory walls before him. Finally, at the deepest part of the memory walls, he saw that towering figure.

"That's right, it's him."

Bi An looked at the memory wall before Kong Tai, at the familiar figure on it, and exclaimed, "I never expected that after tens of thousands of years, I would still see an old acquaintance. Although this is merely a trace of him, devoid of any consciousness, it is undoubtedly him."

As Bi An looked at the figure within the memory wall, the imprint of Elbaf seemed to be stimulated and gradually stirred from its slumber.

He raised his head and, through the spatial barrier, met Bi An's eyes.

They were eyes devoid of any emotion but filled with unyielding resolve.

And behind those eyes, there was a sky-shattering battle intent and ferocity.

The imprint of Elbaf made no move, simply gazing at the two figures outside the memory wall. The spear in his hand emanated a sharpness that would awe all living beings.

"He's guarding against us entering."

This was what Kong Tai felt from the gaze of Elbaf's imprint.

After a deep look at Elbaf's imprint, Kong Tai swiped his right hand to the right, gradually covering this layer of memory wall deep within his memories.

"Not going in?"

Bi An looked at Kong Tai with a hint of curiosity.

"Forget it!"

While restoring Mo Luo's memories, Kong Tai shook his head and replied, "We can go in, but there's no need. I can tell that this is merely an imprint of a trace of Elbaf's will, completely devoid of memory.

It can guide the giant clan to awaken, but it also guards against the prying eyes of outsiders. We can enter, but upon doing so, we would trigger a violent reaction from this imprint. While we would be unharmed, it would cause damage to Mo Luo's mind.

"That's true, there's actually not much to see."

Bi An shook his head and glanced at Mo Luo, who had been restored and was frozen in place by Kong Tai. "I thought this fellow was special, but now it seems he's just like any other giant."

"I'm going back to cultivate," Bi An yawned and waved goodbye to Kong Tai, his figure vanishing.

Looking at the spot where Bi An disappeared, Kong Tai shook his head helplessly.

Bi An's cultivation was essentially sleeping. He would only actively appear when he encountered something that piqued his interest.

Without further thought, Kong Tai stepped forward, grabbed Mo Luo by the shoulder, and together with Mo Luo, their figures vanished into this seemingly ancient starry sky.
