Chapter 111 The Tragic End

The exchange of blows was visceral, a brutal contest of flesh against flesh.

The more they fought, the more astonished Scorpion became. This young man was far more formidable than he had imagined, each punch imbued with explosive power that sent a dull ache through his arm.

“You’ve got some skill!” Scorpion grunted, shaking his throbbing arm before lunging at Qin Feng again.

“I’ve been waiting for you!” Qin Feng’s iron fist shot out like a cannonball, tearing through the air with a speed too rapid for the eye to follow.

Boom!

In an instant, they traded another powerful punch.

In high-level duels, it all came down to fleeting moments. Any intricate technique became useless if one couldn't withstand a single blow.

Furthermore, both were masters of various combat arts, making simple, direct attacks far more effective.

“Hah!”

Ultimately, Qin Feng, at a disadvantage due to experience, was struck in the face by Scorpion, his nose bursting with blood.

Simultaneously, Qin Feng’s killing intent erupted, transforming him into a furious lion king, his aura reaching its zenith.

The next second, Qin Feng slammed into Scorpion. Seeing this, Scorpion immediately raised his arms in defense.

Even so, Scorpion felt an immense power surging through him.

As he repelled Scorpion, Qin Feng pressed his advantage, unleashing a barrage of swift, rain-like attacks, accompanied by sharp cracking sounds in the air.

Scorpion’s heart leaped in alarm. All he could see of his opponent’s attacks were afterimages; such speed defied the laws of inertia.

How was this possible!

Before Scorpion could fully react, a searing pain shot through his abdomen as if struck by a thousand pounds of force, incapacitating him.

Cough, cough, cough…

Scorpion spat out several mouthfuls of blood, his eyes filled with terror.

The young man before him emanated a palpable killing intent, rivaling his own – something no ordinary youth should possess.

His strength was tremendous, his fighting skills formidable. That kick earlier had nearly knocked him unconscious.

If not for his extensive combat experience, Scorpion was certain the young man could have killed him in a single move.

While his methods were still somewhat unrefined, he was already a terrifying opponent.

Given time…

“No! I can’t afford to drag this out any longer, or I’ll be in danger!”

Scorpion now realized he was outmatched by Qin Feng. Moreover, any commotion would alert Qin Feng’s other companions, and the longer he stayed, the less chance he had of escaping.

Coupled with the earlier gunshots, Scorpion was convinced the police might have already been alerted and would soon arrive. He couldn't delay.

With that, Scorpion adopted a fighting stance, his legs spread wide, his body slightly lowered. His sharp gaze fixed on Qin Feng like a leopard spotting its prey, poised to deliver a fatal strike.

“You’re going all out? Very well, let’s end this quickly. I’m tired of playing games too!” Qin Feng’s sharp eyes blazed with lethal intent as he assumed an almost flawless offensive posture.

Seeing this, Scorpion made no further movements and launched a straight punch aimed at Qin Feng’s temple, a look of confident victory on his face. As he attacked, he mused, “Kid, I admire your skill at such a young age. But I’ve fought my way through hail of bullets. You’re not strong enough to kill me!”

Scorpion’s punch carried the ferocity of Muay Thai, making Qin Feng wary. A single misstep could lead to his demise.

However, the opportunity to test his strength against Scorpion in a one-on-one duel, despite the risks, offered immense gains.

Scorpion’s punch was ferocious, accompanied by a whistling gust of wind, its trajectory impossible to discern. Qin Feng, in a defensive posture, flicked his wrist, redirecting the force of Scorpion’s blow elsewhere.

But Scorpion pursued relentlessly, his second punch striking with even greater force.

Observing this, Qin Feng was prepared. He tilted his head slightly, evading Scorpion’s fist.

Then, the situation changed. Scorpion immediately transformed his punch into a claw, grabbing Qin Feng’s hair and yanking forward, followed by an upward knee strike.

If this had connected, it was uncertain if Scorpion would have escaped, but Qin Feng’s head would have surely been crushed.

Qin Feng reacted swiftly, forcefully driving his head forward, staggering Scorpion and throwing him off balance. This allowed Qin Feng to evade the knee strike.

“Open your eyes and see what a real knee strike looks like!” A cold smirk played on Qin Feng’s lips as his right knee shot upward with imperceptible speed.

Bang!

Scorpion’s abdomen was met with Qin Feng’s knee, a powerful force that lifted his entire body into the air.

A moment later, a dull thud echoed as Scorpion was sent flying backward by Qin Feng’s punch, hitting the ground with a heavy impact.

Cough, cough, cough…

On the ground, Scorpion coughed up several mouthfuls of blood. The blood stained the small blades of grass and wildflowers, making them stand out vividly.

Scorpion felt half his body go numb. That punch had nearly crippled two-thirds of his fighting capacity.

The sheer danger posed by Qin Feng instilled terror in Scorpion, forcing him to tap into his deepest reserves. His mind raced; he knew he wasn’t a match for the young man. While he had managed to trade blows earlier, relying on his experience, Qin Feng’s rapid improvement was terrifying. It felt as if Qin Feng was using him as a sparring partner, and one wrong move would lead to his death. He had to escape.

With this thought, Scorpion rolled over and lunged towards his discarded backpack, intending to flee.

But…

Bang!

Just as Scorpion lifted his right foot, the muffled sound of a sniper rifle echoed. A bullet whizzed towards Scorpion, striking him in the ankle.

Hearing the impact of the bullet entering flesh, Scorpion’s scream followed. His face instantly turned pale. He looked down to see blood seeping from his calf.

Despite the injury, Scorpion didn’t give up. He wanted to live and, dragging his wounded leg, hobbled forward.

Bang!

Another gunshot rang out.

“Ah… my leg!”

Scorpion, the renowned mercenary and international assassin, now writhed on the ground in agony, his blood-soaked legs buckling. His screams were like the wails of ghosts.

Waves of excruciating pain nearly caused him to lose consciousness.

In less than ten seconds, Scorpion’s face had turned ashen.

Who would have thought that a world-famous mercenary like Scorpion would have his fate so dramatically altered and end up in such a tragic state within minutes of a battle?

Suddenly…
