Chapter 2 The Next Morning
The training members of the elite Red Blood Cell special team, after a night of being thoroughly worked over by Fan Tianlei, were back on the training grounds the next morning.
Today’s lessons were much like the previous ones, a continuous cycle of drills and training.
Instructors supervised their training, and naturally, Chief of Staff Fan Tianlei and Chen Shanming were also observing from the sidelines.
However, the two of them were being rather lazy, choosing to sip tea at a spot not far away, from where they could see everything.
Initially, Chen Shanming was quite focused on the recruits, but after a short while, his gaze suddenly fell upon something in the distance.
“Ah, Director Tang?” Chen Shanming asked with a bright, cheerful smile. “No classes for you today, who are you looking for?”
Fan Tianlei, seeing Chen Shanming’s excited demeanor, poured cold water on his enthusiasm. “Definitely not looking for you.”
“I know she’s not here for me,” Chen Shanming sighed helplessly, his voice deflated. “Then who do you think she’s looking for?”
Fan Tianlei didn’t even look up, continuing to fiddle with his tablet. “She’ll say she’s not looking for anyone, just taking a casual look around.”
As they chatted, Tang Xinyi walked towards them. Fan Tianlei and Chen Shanming stopped their joking.
Chen Shanming greeted Tang Xinyi with a broad smile, “Director Tang!”
Having said that, Chen Shanming stood up from his seat, as his position was likely lower than Tang Xinyi’s.
“Staff Officer, Instructor Chen,” Tang Xinyi immediately greeted them back.
She was wearing casual clothes today, not a military uniform. However, it had to be said that when someone is beautiful, they look good in anything.
A simple pair of jeans could accentuate Tang Xinyi’s long legs, making them appear particularly slender.
“Please, have a seat. This stool is for you,” Chen Shanming said courteously, still smiling.
“Thank you very much!” Tang Xinyi responded with a polite expression.
After taking a seat, Tang Xinyi’s gaze fell upon Fan Tianlei and Chen Shanming.
Fan Tianlei, with a slight smile, said amiably, “Director Tang, your class is tomorrow. Who are you looking for today?”
As he spoke, a hint of cunning flashed in Fan Tianlei’s eyes. He said this deliberately, as an outsider could see things very clearly.
“Mm, I’m not looking for anyone, just taking a casual look.” Tang Xinyi lowered her head slightly, clearly a little embarrassed.
Hearing this, Fan Tianlei’s face broke into a smile, and he chuckled, looking towards Chen Shanming.
The two exchanged glances, understanding each other without words.
Not letting Tang Xinyi remain awkward for long, Fan Tianlei’s eyes showed a flicker of seriousness as he stated confidently, “Whether you’re just looking or have a specific purpose, our Red Blood Cell base’s doors are always open to you.”
The reason Fan Tianlei said this was because he knew very well that Tang Xinyi was a rare talent, and both the military region’s leaders and others highly valued her.
It could be said that Tang Xinyi’s current position in the military region was already quite high, and it would likely only increase in the future, perhaps surpassing his own one day.
“Yes, thank you, Staff Officer!” Tang Xinyi replied with an exceptionally bright smile, but only she knew how embarrassed she felt inside.
She had indeed just intended to wander around, but somehow ended up here.
And Fan Tianlei was an old schemer, truly a cunning old fox as people said.
“Hey, we’re all one big family here, you’re our specially appointed instructor.”
As Fan Tianlei said this, he glanced at Chen Shanming beside him and ordered, “Gather them!”
“Gather them?” Chen Shanming asked, looking confused. “They’ve only been training for half an hour.”
“Just go, stop with the nonsense.”
“Understood!”
Chen Shanming immediately got up, nodded, and walked over.
Meanwhile, on the other side, the Red Blood Cell members’ training continued.
Qin Feng gave Li Erniu a helpless look, then grabbed his leg and in an instant, lifted him up and threw him to the ground.
“Uh, Brother Feng, go easy on me, a little bit,” Li Erniu said nervously.
“Don’t worry, I know,” Qin Feng nodded slightly, indicating he would be gentle.
At the same time, Qin Feng also saw Tang Xinyi in the distance.
Seeing Tang Xinyi’s appearance, Qin Feng felt a bit puzzled. If he remembered correctly, she didn’t have a class today. What was she doing here? Could the plot’s influence be so strong? Was she looking for He Chenguang?
Thinking this, Qin Feng’s gaze shifted to He Chenguang, only to find that the latter hadn’t noticed Tang Xinyi in the distance at all.
This… was awkward…
Chen Shanming walked towards Qin Feng and the others, his gaze carrying a hint of sternness.
As for Fan Tianlei and Tang Xinyi, they seemed to be chatting happily about something.
However, throughout their conversation, Tang Xinyi’s gaze kept sweeping over Qin Feng, who was training. Her eyes were full of intense focus, constantly watching him.
This was a situation that had never occurred with Tang Xinyi before.
Could love truly have such a great power?
At this moment, Qin Feng and Li Erniu’s training continued, as did He Chenguang’s.
Qin Feng directly wrapped his arm around Li Erniu’s neck, then trapped him with one leg.
During this training, Qin Feng didn’t dare to use too much force. After all, his current strength was beyond that of an ordinary person. If he used his full strength, Li Erniu would probably be lying flat on the ground by now, instead of still standing here.
Feeling the pain on his body intensifying, Li Erniu urgently pleaded, “Brother Feng, Brother Feng, go easy on me, it hurts, it hurts…”
Hearing this, Qin Feng immediately eased his grip and raised his head to look at the scene not far away.
Alas, it was just that coincidental, that precise. Tang Xinyi’s gaze met Qin Feng’s.
Qin Feng was stunned. Tang Xinyi, on the other hand, was completely taken aback.
Qin Feng thought to himself, what the heck? Shouldn’t she be looking at He Chenguang next to me? Has the plot gone off track like this? A hallucination, it must be a hallucination.
Conversely, Tang Xinyi’s face turned slightly red, and she immediately averted her gaze, looking in another direction.
She had absolutely not expected such a coincidence, her eyes meeting Qin Feng’s.
What to do? What to do?
The problem was urgent, waiting for an answer online!
